  • For a large structure, substructure based SDM(structural dynamics modification) method is very effective to raise its dynamic characteristics. Dividing into smaller substructures has a major advantage in the aspect of computation especially for getting sensitivities, which are in the core of SDM process. But quite often, non-matching nodes problem occurs in the process of synthesizing substructures. The reason is that, in general, each substructure is modelled separately, then later combined together to form a entire structure model under interface constraint conditions. Without solving the non-matching nodes problem, the substructure based SDM can not be processed. In this work, virtual node concept is introduced. Lagrange multipliers are used to enforce the interface compatibility constraint. The governing equation of whole structure is derived using hybrid variational principle. The eigenvalues of whole structure are calculated using determinant search method. The number of degrees of freedom of the eigenvalue problem can be drastically reduced to just the number of interface degree of freedom. Thus, the eigenvalue sensitivities can be easily calculated, and further SDM can be efficiently performed. Some numerical problems are tested to show the effectiveness of handling non-matching nodes.

An Evolution Model of Rumor Spreading Based on WeChat Social Circle

  • With the rapid development of the Internet and the Mobile Internet, social communication based on the network has become a life style for many people. WeChat is an online social platform, for about one billion users, therefore, it is meaningful to study the spreading and evolution mechanism of the rumor on the WeChat social circle. The Rumor was injected into the WeChat social circle by certain individuals, and the communication and the evolution occur among the nodes within the circle; after the refuting-rumor-information injected into the circle, subsequently,the density of four types of nodes, including the Susceptible, the Latent, the Infective, and the Recovery changes, which results in evolving the WeChat social circle system. In the study, the evolution characteristics of the four node types are analyzed, through construction of the evolution equation. The evolution process of the rumor injection and the refuting-rumor-information injection is simulated through the structure of the virtual social network, and the evolution laws of the four states are depicted by figures. The significant results from this study suggest that the spreading and evolving of the rumors are closely related to the nodes degree on the WeChat social circle.

  • 센서 네트워크는 인간이 접근하기 어려운 험난한 지역이나 광범위한 지역의 감시 및 경계 등의 임무를 수행하기 위한 목적으로 그 활용도는 상당히 크다. 본 논문에서는 감시정찰 센서네트워크에서 발생되는 가상의 데이터를 기반으로 네트워크 내의 중요 노드를 파악하고자 한다. 센서 노드로부터 전송되는 데이터는 센서의 측정 범위 내에서 임의로 정하였고, 이를 대상으로 주성분 분석 기법으로 중요한 노드들을 선정하였다. 중요 노드가 파악되면 해당 센서노드들에 대해 물리적으로 관리가 용이하게 되고, 문제 발생 시 보안 대책을 수립할 수 있다. 이것은 센서 네트 워크망에 대한 효용 및 수명과도 직결되며 비용 측면에서도 효과적이다.

An Efficient Routing Scheme Based on Node Density for Underwater Acoustic Sensors Networks

  • Underwater Wireless Sensors Networks (UWSNs) are deployed in remotely monitored environment such as water level monitoring, ocean current identification, oil detection, habitat monitoring and numerous military applications. Providing scalable and efficient routing is very challenging in UWSNs due to the harsh underwater environment. The biggest difficulties are the nodes inherent movement due to water current, long delay in data transmission, low bandwidth of the acoustic signal, high error rate and energy scarcity in battery powered nodes. Many routing protocols have been proposed to solve the aforementioned problems. There are three broad categories of routing protocols namely depth based, energy based and vector-based routing. Vector Based Forwarding protocols perform routing through virtual pipeline by defining their radius which give proper direction to packets communication. We proposed a routing protocol termed as Path-Oriented Energy Scaled Expanded Vector Based Forwarding (PESEVBF). PESEVBF takes into account all parameters; holding time, the source nodes packets routing path and void holes creation on the second hop; PESEVBF not only considers the packet upward advancement but also focus on density of the forwarded nodes in terms of number of potential forwarding and suppressed nodes for path selection. Node selection in resultant holding time is based on minimum Path Factor (PF) value. Moreover, the suppressed node will be selected for packet forwarding to avoid the void holes occurrences on the second hop. Performance of PESEVBF is compared with other routing protocols using matrices such as energy consumption, packet delivery ratio, packets dropping ratio and duplicate packets creation indicating considerable performance improvement.

  • In ATM networks with high capacity, the effect of failures on transmission links or nodes can be catastrophic, so that the issue of survivability is of great importance. In this paper. we consider the routing problem for working and backup virtual paths(VPs). To accomplish a higher survivability. routing the two kinds of VPs should be taken into account at the same time because backup VP routing depends on the working VP routing. A coevolutionary algorithm is employed to solve the problem for simultaneously routing of working and backup VPs. To develop an efficient coevolutionary algorithm for the problem. structure of populations, encoding method, neighborhood, and genetic operators are studied in this paper. The results of extensive experiments are reported. The performance comparison of the proposed algorithm with a conventional genetic algorithm and existing heuristics shows that our approach is promising.

  • Sensor network consists of a large number of sensor node distributed in the environment being sensed and controlled. The resource-constrained sensor nodes tend to have various and heterogeneous architecture. Thus, it is important to make its software environment platform-independent and reprogrammable. In this paper, we present BeeVM, a Java operating system designed for sensor networks. BeeVM offers a platform-independent Java programming environment with its efficiently executable file format and a set of class APIs for basic operating functions, sensing and wireless networking. BeeVM's high-level native interface and layered network subsystem allow complex program for sensor network to be short and readable. Our platform has been ported on two currently popular hardware platforms and we show its effectiveness through the evaluation of a simple application.

  • Computer simulation has used to a area of military training from about several years ago. War game model(or computer simulation) endow a military man with field training such as combat experience without operating combat strength or capabilities. To samely construct simulation environment against actual combat environment is to well construct DB to operate war game model, associate among federates on network. Thus, we construct virtual combat environment enabling to efficiently manage network traffic among federates(or active nodes) on active network that construct virtual military training space such as urgent combat field needed to rapidly transfer combat information including image and video.

  • 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 실제 전투 자산을 가동하지 않고 실전과 같은 전투경험을 부여하기 위해서는 데이터베이스를 포함한 페더레이트(federate)간의 연동(federation)이 네트워크상에서 잘 수행되어야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전장 데이터(이하 액티브 패킷)의 신속한 전달을 필요로 하는 실제상황과 유사한 전장공간을 구축할 수 있도록 액티브 네트워크 상에서 페더레이트(혹은 액티브 노드) 간의 효율적인 트래픽 처리가 가능한 가상 전장 환경을 구성하고, 이에 대한 유효성을 모의 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • There are two types of WSN(wireless sensor networks) in terms of sensor node's capability, that is, homogeneous or heterogeneous WSN. Even though the latter has better performance than the former, it requires some overhead for deploying nodes or clustering the network. In this paper, we propose a new scheme, called VHS(Virtual Heterogenous Sensor-Network), which uses a homogeneous WSN regarding energy in a heterogeneous way. The proposed scheme's performance has been evaluated and compared with other homogeneous schemes by simulation. The results are shown to be better than the other existing homogeneous schemes used in a sample sensor network application.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어프로세서 구성의 한가지 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 멀티미디어프로세서는 각각의 문자, 소리, 비디오를 한 개의 칩안에서 다룰 수 있으며, 멀티미디어의 특징인 인터렉티브의 기능을 갖고 있다. 특히 제안한 멀티미디어프로세서는 소프트웨어 없이도 메모리매상의 어드레싱이 가능하다. 제아난 멀티미디어프로세서는 가상현실에 적용이 가능하다.
