Web-based virtual machine/manufacturing system (VMS) utilizes Virtual Device Network (VDN.) VDN inevitably involves the implementation of Distributed Monitoring and Control Networks (DMCN). In general, one needs to integrate device (control) network and IP network to realize DMCN over IP network or internet, which can be viewed as a VDN. In this study, LonWorks networking technology is used fer device network and the transmission characteristics of LonWorks/IP-based VDN is investigated. A method to minimize the transmission delay in the LonWorks/IP networks is also suggested.
Web-based predictive maintenance (PM) utilizes Virtual Device Network (VDN). VDN inevitably the implementation of Distributed Monitoring and Control Networks (DMCN). In general, one needs to integrate fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize DMCN over IP network or internet, which can be viewed as Virtual Device Network (VDN). Interoperability between devices and equipments is essential to enhance the quality and the performance of predictive maintenance (PM). This paper investigates the transmission characteristics of VDN and suggests a basic framework for web-based PM using DMCN over IP network.
High availability and reliability have been considered promising requirements for the support of seamless network services such as real-time video streaming, gaming, and virtual and augmented reality. Increased availability can be achieved within a local area network with the use of the virtual router redundancy protocol that utilizes backup routers to provide a backup path in the case of a master router failure. However, the network may still lose a large number of packets during a failover owing to a late failure detections and lazy responses. To achieve an efficient failover, we propose the implementation of fast detection with virtual router redundancy protocol (FDVRRP) in which the backup router quickly detects a link failure and immediately serves as the master router. We implemented the FDVRRP using open neutralized network operating system (OpenN2OS), which is an open-source-based network operating system. Based on the failover performance test of OpenN2OS, we verified that the FDVRRP exhibits a very fast failure detection and a failover with low-overhead packets.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of the virtual cell system[1] for the transmission of IP datagrams in mobile computer communications. A virtual cell consistsof a group of physical cells shose base stationsl are implemented b recote bridges and interconnected via high speed datagram packet switched networks. Host mobility is supported at the data link layer using the distributed hierachical location information of mobile hosts. Given mobility and communication ptems among physical cells, the problem of deploying virtual cells is equivalent to the optimization cost for the entire system where interclster communication is more expesive than intracluster communication[2]. Once an iptimal partitionof disjoint clusters is obtained, we deploy the virtual cell system according to the topology of the optimal partition such that each virtual cell correspods to a cluser. To analyze the performance of the virtual cell system, we adopt a BCMP open multipel class queueing network model. In addition to mobility and communication patterns, among physical cells, the topology of the virtual cell system is used to determine service transition probabilities of the queueing network model. With various system parameters, we conduct interesting sensitivity analyses to determine network design tradeoffs. The first application of the proposed model is to determine an adequate network bandwidth for base station networking such that the networks would not become an bottleneck. We also evaluate the network vlilization and system response time due to various types of messages. For instance, when the mobile hosts begin moving fast, the migration rate will be increased. This results of the performance analysis provide a good evidence in demonsratc the sysem effciency under different assumptions of mobility and communication patterns.
In this paper, we propose the Tangible Virtual Reality Representation Method to using haptic device and feature to morphology of created bead from Flux Cored Arc Welding. The virtual reality was started to rising for reduce to consumable materials and welding training risk. And, we will expected maximize virtual reality from virtual welding training. In this paper proposed method is get the database to changing the input factor such as work angle, travelling angle, speed, CTWD. And, it is visualization to bead from extract to optimal morphological feature information to using the Neural Network algorithm. The database was building without error to extract data from automatic robot welder. Also, the Neural Network algorithm was set a dataset of the highest accuracy from verification process in many times. The bead was created in virtual reality from extract to morphological feature information. We were implementation to final shape of bead and overlapped in process by time to using bead generation algorithm and calibration algorithm for generate to same bead shape to real database in process of generating bead. The best advantage of virtual welding training, it can be get the many data to training evaluation. In this paper, we were representation bead to similar shape from generated bead to Flux Cored Arc Welding. Therefore, we were reduce the gap to virtual welding training and real welding training. In addition, we were confirmed be able to maximize the performance of education from more effective evaluation system.

Cloud Computing offers flexible, on demand, ubiquitous resources for cloud users. Cloud users are provided computing resources in a virtualized environment. In order to meet the growing demands for computing resources, data centres contain a large number of physical machines accommodating multiple virtual machines. However, cloud data centres cannot utilize their computing resources to their total capacity. Several policies have been proposed for improving energy proficiency and computing resource utilization in cloud data centres. Virtual machine placement is an effective method involving efficient mapping of virtual machines to physical machines. However, the availability of many physical machines accommodating multiple virtual machines in a data centre has made the virtual machine placement problem a non deterministic polynomial time hard (NP hard) problem. Metaheuristic algorithms have been widely used to solve the NP hard problems of multiple and conflicting objectives, such as the virtual machine placement problem. In this context, we presented essential concepts regarding virtual machine placement and objective functions for optimizing different parameters. This paper provides a taxonomy of metaheuristic algorithms for the virtual machine placement method. It is followed by a review of prominent research of virtual machine placement methods using meta heuristic algorithms and comparing them. Finally, this paper provides a conclusion and future research directions in virtual machine placement of cloud computing.

The novel network architecture is recently required to accommodate a variety and intelligence of communication services. It is also required to provide customized network functions and to efficiently satisfy a various user's requirements. Accordingly, open network architecture based on ATM transport network features has been mainly studied in communication network. This paper evaluates the VSN(Virtual Switch Network) characteristics in the call processing of IMT-2000 switching system, which is composed of VSN instead of ATM switch network. VSN means switch network which is composed of ATM transport network. As a result, this paper proposes new VSN based ATM-MSC architecture with integrated call and connection control systems. and evaluates call processing delay characteristics using call process procedures. Internal call processing delay is increased approximately 3.5msec than the conventional ATM switching system. The experimental values applied in the analysis condition are the load 0.8, and the 100km distance between CCCPs(Call and Connection Control Processors) and VSNs. It is confirmed that the VSN has the potentiality in the practical implementation.

Demand for the technology for access to device control network in industry and for access to building automation system via internet is on the increase. In such technology integration of a device control network with a data network such as internet and organizing wide-ranging DCS(distributed control system) is needed, and it can be realized in the framework of VDN(virtual device network)[1,2]. Specifications for device control network and data network are quite different because of the differences in application. So a router that translates the communication protocol between device control network and data network and efficiently transmits information to destination is needed for implementation of the VDN, This paper proposes the concept of NCS(networked control system) based on VDN(virtual device network) and suggests the routing algorithm that uses embedded system.[3]

KREONET is a principal national R&E network running by KISTI in Korea. It uniquely provides production research network services for around 200 non-profit research and educational organizations, based on hybrid (IP and non-IP) network infrastructure. However, KREONET is limited to meet various needs of new network services for advanced Science & Technology (S&T) users because its infrastructure is inherently derived form classical hardware-based, fixed and closed environments. So, KREONET-S is designed to provide advanced S&T services to catch up with time-to-research and time-to-collaboration. In this paper, we present a system architecture of KREONET-S based on network infrastructure that consists of data and control planes separately. Furthermore, we propose and describe VDN service which is capable of building a virtual dedicate & bandwidth-guaranteed network for S&T group dynamically. we implement VDN application on KREONET-S and then perform performance analysis for proving that KREONET-S system and VDN application can be a good solutions to cope with new network paradigms for various advanced S&T applications and users.

Network virtualization technology plays a key role in cloud computing, which serves as an effective approach for provisioning a flexible and highly adaptable shared substrate network to satisfy the demands of various applications or services. Recently, the problem of mapping a virtual network (VN) onto a substrate network has been addressed by various algorithms. However, these algorithms are typically efficient for unicast service-oriented virtual networks, and generally not applicable to multicast service-oriented virtual networks (MVNs). Furthermore, the survivable MVN mapping (SMVNM) problem that considers the survivability of MVN has not been studied and is also the focus of this work. In this research, we discuss SMVNM problem under regional failures in the substrate network and propose an efficient algorithm for solving this problem. We first propose a framework and formulate the SMVNM problem with the objective of minimizing mapping cost by using mixed integer linear programming. Then we design an efficient heuristic to solve this problem and introduce several optimizations to achieve the better mapping solutions. We validate and evaluate our framework and algorithms by conducting extensive simulations on different realistic networks under various scenarios, and by comparing with existing approaches. Our simulation experiments and results show that our approach outperforms existing solutions.
