A virtual parameter to improve stability properties for an integration method

  • A virtual parameter is introduced into the formulation of the previously published integration method to improve its stability properties. It seems that the numerical properties of this integration method are almost unaffected by this parameter except for the stability property. As a result, it can have second order accuracy, explicit formulation and controllable numerical dissipation in addition to the enhanced stability property. In fact, it can have unconditional stability for the system with the instantaneous degree of nonlinearity less than or equal to the specified value of the virtual parameter for the modes of interest for each time step.

  • 최근 Application에 대한 공격을 통하여 네트워크와 데이터베이스에 대한 방어정책인 침입탐지 룰(rule)을 무력화시키고, 침해사고를 유발한다. 이러한 공격으로부터 내부 네트워크와 데이터베이스의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 통합보안에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 침입탐지 룰을 설정한 Application에 대한 공격을 차단하기 위한 통합보안 시스템 구축에 관한 연구이다. 네트워크 기반의 공격을 탐지하여 대응하고, 내부 Integration Security System을 Virtual clustering과 Load balancing 기법으로 공격을 분산시키며, Packet 모니터링과 분석을 통하여 공격 목적지 Packet에 대한 방어정책 설정, 공격 Packet 분석, 기록, 룰 업데이트를 한다. 또한 공격 유형별 방어정책을 설정하여 Virtual Machine 분할 정책을 통한 접근 트래픽 해소, 공격차단에 적용하는 Integration Security System을 제안하고 방어를 실험한다. 본 연구 결과는 외부 해커의 공격에 대한 통합보안 방어를 위한 현실적인 자료를 제공하게 될 것이다.

  • As the construction technology is rapidly advancing internationally, the necessity of virtual construction technology development is drastically demanded in the construction industry together with a fusion technology with information technology(IT). The construction technology will be changed as the paradigm of construction technology in the future. The establishment of building structural system in the virtual construction basis is necessary for the integration of construction process, and it will be expected to produce the effect of reduction of construction period and quality improvement through the environment of integration. This study is to present the analysis of the existing process of structural design, the content of research & development as per the building structural system on virtual construction basis and the direction of research.

  • Patients with schizophrenia have thinking disorders such as delusion or hallucination, because they have a deficit in the ability which to systematize and integrate information. Therefore, they cannot integrate or systemize visual, auditory and tactile stimuli. In this study we suggest a virtual reality system for the assessment of cognitive ability of schizophrenia patients, based on the brain multimodal integration model. The virtual reality system provides multimodal stimuli, such as visual and auditory stimuli, to the patient, and can evaluate the patient's multimodal integration and working memory integration abilities by making the patient interpret and react to multimodal stimuli, which must be remembered for a given period of time. The clinical study showed that the virtual reality program developed is comparable to those of the WCST and the SPM.

  • In this paper, we propose the building method for the unified IoT service platform between the variety of legacy systems with the heterogeneous structures and the operating environments. To accommodate the structural diversity of legacy systems, we develop a virtual integrated structure and interface abstracting method. By this, the new platform can use the data sources of the legacy systems as if the data source is in the new platform. In a manner without modification of the legacy systems with performing minimum tasks, we proposes a model that can be integrated without affecting the availabilities of the legacy systems.

  • 정신분열병은 망상이나 환각과 같은 양성증상과 감정적 둔마와 같은 음성증상이 대표적인 사고장애로서 외부입력 정보를 통합하거나 체계적으로 처리하는 능력이 매우 부족하다. 즉, 정신분열병 환자는 시각, 청각, 촉각 등의 자극을 종합하고 통합하여 인지하지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 뇌 인지 통합 모델(Brain Multimodal Integration Model)에 기반하여 정신분열병 환자의 인지 능력을 측정하기 위한 가상현실시스템을 제안한다. 정신분열병 환자의 지각, 인지, 운동능력을 측정하기 위한 가상현실시스템은 환자에게 시각과 청각의 멀티모달 자극을 제시하여, 환자로 하여금 일정시간 동안 자극을 기억하고 처리하여 주어진 과제를 수행하도록 하였다. 수행 결과를 통해 환자의 멀티모달 자극 통합능력 및 작업기억 통합능력, 네비게이션 능력을 평가한다. 임상연구를 통해 개발된 가상현실시스템을 WCST과 같은 기존 검사방법들과 비교하여 검증하였는데, 가상현실로 측정한 파라미터와 WCST의 파라미터 및 SPM 점수 사이에 매우 유의미한 상관관계를 보여 가상현실시스템의 유용성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Virtual Network Embedding based on Node Connectivity Awareness and Path Integration Evaluation

  • As a main challenge in network virtualization, virtual network embedding problem is increasingly important and heuristic algorithms are of great interest. Aiming at the problems of poor correlation in node embedding and link embedding, long distance between adjacent virtual nodes and imbalance resource consumption of network components during embedding, we herein propose a two-stage virtual network embedding algorithm NA-PVNM. In node embedding stage, resource requirement and breadth first search algorithm are introduced to sort virtual nodes, and a node fitness function is developed to find the best substrate node. In link embedding stage, a path fitness function is developed to find the best path in which available bandwidth, CPU and path length are considered. Simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm could shorten link embedding distance, increase the acceptance ratio and revenue to cost ratio compared to previously reported algorithms. We also analyzed the impact of position constraint and substrate network attribute on algorithm performance, as well as the utilization of the substrate network resources during embedding via simulation. The results showed that, under the constraint of substrate resource distribution and virtual network requests, the critical factor of improving success ratio is to reduce resource consumption during embedding.

Using Spatial Ontology in the Semantic Integration of Multimodal Object Manipulation in Virtual Reality

  • This paper describes a framework for multimodal object manipulation in virtual environments. The gist of the proposed framework is the semantic integration of multimodal input using spatial ontology and user context to integrate the interpretation results from the inputs into a single one. The spatial ontology, describing the spatial relationships between objects, is used together with the current user context to solve ambiguities coming from the user's commands. These commands are used to reposition the objects in the virtual environments. We discuss how the spatial ontology is defined and used to assist the user to perform object placements in the virtual environment as it will be in the real world.

  • It is difficult and important for virtual studio systems and media-art products to be designed effective interactions between a performance person, who appears in the studio, and virtual studio equipments, and, an appreciation person and artistic products. The difficulties originate with originate with no even-grained component and no framework of interaction design work. In this article, a layered authoring model is proposed in order to facilitate system designers and artists to construct the system more easily and flexibly using fine-grained media components. And some experimental interactive virtual environments based on the model are shown.

Implementation of Cloud-Based Virtual Laboratory using SOI and CIMP on Virtual Machines

  • In this research, we create a network infrastructure based on a service-oriented infrastructure (SOI) for the virtualization technology and integrate it with a cloud technology that applies the cloud integration management platform (CIMP) concept. In CIMP, the server and storage will be separated. The server will be adopted for virtualization while the storage will be used by students and teachers to store data. As long they save their data in the storage module, every time, everywhere, and on every device, they can access their data. This research will implement the design of the network infrastructure and be applied to the remote practical learning system in the laboratory. Students and teachers will ultimately adopt this network infrastructure for remote practice using their respective devices without physically meeting in the laboratory. In the future, if the implementation phase is successful, then in addition to laboratory environments, it can be implemented in all learning activities at our campus.
