  • In this paper, we design a GA-fuzzy precompensated PID controller for the load frequency control of two-area interconnected power system. Here, a fuzzy precompensated PID controller is designed as a fuzzy logic-based precompensation approach for PID controller. This scheme is easily implemented simply by adding a fuzzy precompensator to an existing PID controller. And we optimize the fuzzy precompensator with a genetic algorithm for complements the demerit such as the difficulty of the component selection of fuzzy controller, namely, scaling factor, membership function and control rules. Simulation results show that the proposed control technique is superior to a conventional PID control and a fuzzy precompensated PID control in dynamic responses about the load disturbances of power system and is convinced robustness reliableness in view of structure.

  • Initially, the system of outside director of cooperative has the object of consulting an external specialist. Recently, it takes a serious view of monitoring about securing clean management on the operating crisis. Nevertheless, in the field of NFFC(National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives), it is difficult that the system of outside director of cooperative attains that is initial object. And in the field of FC(Fisheries Cooperative), it isn't in force about the outside director of cooperative. Therefore, it is important to make a following system improvement. (1) The ratio of outside directors among the member of board of directors has to be increased. (2) Outside director's term of office has to be amended from lyears to 2years and the current method of selection should be reformed to be a strict one with high standard of requirement and substantial screening for membership. (3) Outside directors' wage system must be actualized by adopting incentive system' etc. A measure of appointing an executive in a similar business line or organizations to ours as an outside director must be considered. FC have to introduce the system of outside director. (4) A recognition of proper management of outside directors and putting in practice is essential.

  • One of the objectives of any task design is to provide a safe and helpful workplace for the employees. The safety and health module may include means for confronting the design with safety and health regulations and standards as well as tools for obstacles and collisions detection (such as error models and simulators). Virtual Reality is a leading edge technology which has only very recently become available on platforms and at prices accessible to the majority of simulation engineers. The design of an automated manufacturing system is a complicated, multidisciplinary task that requires involvement of several specialists. In this paper, a design procedure that facilitates the safety and ergonomic considerations of an automated manufacturing system are described. The procedure consists of the following major steps: Data collection and analysis of the data, creation of a three-dimensional simulation model of the work environment, simulation for safety analysis and risk assessment, development of safety solutions, selection of the preferred solutions, implementation of the selected solutions, reporting, and training When improving the safety of an existing system the three-dimensional simulation model helps the designer to perceive the work from operators point of view objectively and safely without the exposure to hazards of the actual system.

  • Increasing amounts of ships exhaust gases emitted worldwide forced the International Maritime Organization to issue some restricted maritime legislation for reducing the adverse environmental impacts arising from such emissions. Consequently, ships emission reduction became one of the technical and economical challenges that facing the ships, operators. The present paper addresses the different strategies that can be used to reduce those emissions, especially nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides. The strategies included: applying reduction technologies onboard, using of alternative fuels, and follows one of fuel saving strategies. Using of selective catalytic reduction and sea water scrubbing appeared as the best reduction technologies onboard ships. Moreover, among the various proposed alternative fuels, natural gas, in its liquid state; has the priority to be used instead of conventional fuels. Applying one of those strategies is the matter of ship type and working area. As a numerical example, the proposed methods were investigated at a high-speed craft operating in the Red Sea area between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results obtained are very satisfactory from the point of view of environment and economic issues, and reflected the importance of applying those strategies.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the necessary data concerning the selection and development of floor-coverings in view of slipperiness by comparing the relationship between CSR measured with O-Y·PSM and RCOF calculated from the result of gait analysis. CSR was calculated from maximum tensile load(Pmax) divided by perpendicular load(785N) when pulled 18 degrees upward the moment the bottom of the slip piece contacted the surface of the test piece. RCOF was calculated based on Fy/Fz from when horizontal load reached the maximum point within the sections from the moment the front of outsole touched the test piece to when pulled off the test piece. The results from the research were as follows: (1) Range of CSR was 0.15-1.02, which meant the differences of slipperiness of the test pieces definitely showed up. (2) RCOF are inadequate to express the characteristic about the slipperiness of the floors, since there were no differences between the test pieces.

  • Recently, due to the economic recession and increase of ITO (IT Outsourcing), bidding in software industry has been recognized as more competitive and the importance of software bid evaluation for corporate selection is being increased. This study aims to analyze and prioritize influential factors in the software bid evaluation criteria which is adopted as the main evaluation model of national software businesses by Ministry of Science. The priority was developed by AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) through pair-wise comparison. For the analysis, this study developed analysis model for AHP and conducted survey of experts who have work experience for more than 10 years in the IT industry. As the result of analysis, weighted factors in the evaluation criteria were deduced and differences of priority factors between purchaser and bidder were investigated. The analysis showed differences of view point in the bidding process. With these results, this study suggests how to write a proposal strategically and effectively in perspective of the purchaser. It is expected that priority factors will be adopted in strategic proposals in both bidder and purchaser. For purchaser, the priority will be adopted to select reliable bidder. So, we expect that the priority factors will be used to get more values for both bidder and purchaser in their business atmosphere.

  • Gan Tack is meetings for marriage in Royal Families only. There are three selection courses before the final decision of one person, and it done with a view to finding the best person in the country. On the history of costume, it was greatly changed in Yungjo's period. In this thesis, I studied the costumes of king Yungjo, Jungsungwanghu who is the consort of Yungjo, Inwonwanghu who is the consort of the late king, Sunhigung who is a seraglio of Yungjo, Ongjus who are King's daughters by seraglios, Sanggungs who are court ladies, Yumo who is a wet nurse, and etc., for Gan Tack with Hyaegyunggung-Hong who is chosen the consort of Prince, and research the Dresses, which are Jugori, Chima, Dangui, Gonryongpo, and Wonsam. The girls who attend Gan Tack dress up Jugori whose color is yellow, Chima whose color is red, and Dangui whose color is green. King wears in Gonryongpo, the Consorts in Wonsam, and the court ladies and Ongjus in Dangui, of course, there are differences of the colors and ornaments on the ranks. Finally, I hope this thesis will be of great help to the costume of historical dramas.

  • In recent decades, the study of human brain function has dramatically increased thanks to the advent of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This is a powerful tool which provides a deep view of the activities of the brain. From fMRI data, the neuroscientists analyze which parts of the brain have responsibility for a particular action and finding the common pattern representing each state involved in these tasks. This is one of the most challenges in neuroscience area because of noisy, sparsity of data as well as the differences of anatomical brain structure of each person. In this paper, we propose the use of appropriate discriminant methods, such as Fisher Discriminant Ratio and hypothesis testing, together with strong boosting ability of Adaboost classifier. We prove that discriminant methods are effective in classifying cognitive states. The experiment results show significant better accuracy than previous works. We also show that it is possible to train a successful classifier without prior anatomical knowledge and use only a small number of features.

  • Vision-based lane sensing systems require accurate and robust sensing performance in lane detection. Besides, there exists trade-off between the computational burden and processor cost, which should be considered for implementing the systems in passenger cars. In this paper, a stereo vision-based lane detection system is developed with considering sensor configuration aspects. An inverse perspective mapping method is formulated based on the relative correspondence between the left and right cameras so that the 3-dimensional road geometry can be reconstructed in a robust manner. A new monitoring model for estimating the road geometry parameters is constructed to reduce the number of the measured signals. The selection of the sensor configuration and specifications is investigated by utilizing the characteristics of standard highways. Based on the sensor configurations, it is shown that appropriate sensing region on the camera image coordinate can be determined. The proposed system is implemented on a passenger car and verified experimentally.
