To the question about the time of marriage, the most subjects responded that they would do so when the economic ability and stable job were equipped. Thus, there should be the systematic youth employment support system that could help the students to quickly and stably enter society and to become financially independent after graduation. Also, for the formation of positive family relation, it would be necessary to develop·operate the educational programs for forming positive family relation and desirable communication methods for each subject(spouse, parents, children, siblings, and etc.).

Research tools used questionnaires to understand the level of gender equality consciousness, view on marriage and children. Participants were 205 university students in S city and analysis by frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression using SPSS 28.0 program. The gender equality consciousness appeared as an average of 4.23 points and female students were higher than male students. Gender equality consciousness was negatively correlated with view on marriage and children. Gender equality consciousness in home living life area affected the views on marriage and children. This means that the higher than the higher the sense of gender equality in home living life area, the view on marriage and children was more liberal. To form a positive view of marriage and children of university students, balanced education programs between men and women for gender equality are needed.

The marriage motivation of the subjects was positively correlated with view on marriage (r=.38, p<.001), view on children (r=.50, p<.001) and psychosocial maturity (r=0.25, p=.001), and psychosocial maturity was positively correlated with social pre-parental role. The most important factor that affects the subjects' marriage motivation is their view on children (${\beta}=.407$, p<.001), followed by view on marriage (${\beta}=.329$, p<001), Gender (${\beta}=-.184$, p=.004), psychosocial maturity (${\beta}=.159$, p=009), religion (${\beta}=.126$, p=.003). This study examined the psychological aspects of a single life with particular focus on the personality & emotional characteristics, the social & behavioral characteristics, marriage, happiness, and sex of singles. The sample consisted of 160 single male and female aged 30 to 49. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the singles tended to be self-centered, especially when they did not have a plan to get married, and that most of the singles in the 30s wanted to have a friend of the other sex. In the view of marriage, young, male singles were more likely to form a family than old, female singles. Also, female singles, bereaved or divorced, were shown to have fear about marriage and negative attitudes toward marriage more than male, never-married singles did. Regarding the extent of happiness, old, female (rather than young, male) singles tended to be more satisfied with a single life. Besides, old, religious singles were less likely to feel lonely than young, unreligious singles. In addition, it appeared that college-graduated singles had rather liberal view on sex although singles generally showed rather conservative toward sex in this study. Therefore, the findings reveal that singles were self-centered, social, positive view on marriage, somewhat happy of a single life, and having a conservative attitude about sex. Further understanding of a single life in modem society is needed in future studies.
