Vibration and noise control of slab using the multi-tuned mass damper (다중질량감쇠기를 이용한 슬래브의 진동 및 소음저감에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, it is outlined that heavy weight floor impact noise induced by the vibration of slab can be reduced by multi tuned mass damper(MTMD) effectively. Substructure synthesis is utilized to develope analytical model of slab coupled with MTMD and acoustic power is introduced to evaluate the performance of noise control for simplicity. Numerical analysis is carried out to investigate the effect of the properties of MTMD on the vibration and noise control. Numerical analysis shows that mass ratio of MTMD is critical on the vibration and noise control of the slab and it is essential to reduce the vibration in higher modes of slab because it has a great effect on the radiation of sound.

  • There was transient vibration on the piping system from #4 heater to the deaerator in a power plant. We found it was resulted from resonance between the natural vibration of the piping system and vibration induced by flow of feedwater. We verified it would reduce vibration by increasing stiffness of the piping system. Therefore we concluded that it would be generally better to increase stiffness of the piping system to reduce vibration amplitude of 10Hz low for big sized piping systems.

  • For the evaluation of the DC motor noise and vibration, usually it is rely on human feeling because some kinds of noise are not definitely represented by measurement Instrument such as sound meter. But when we consider time signal of the noise and vibration. It is possible to represent them. And in this paper. it is suggested to study output current shape of the motor because it Is the source to make speed and torque variation of the motor. If the current shape is not stable. it makes operating state of the motor unstable and produces noise and vibration. By analyzing signal at time and frequency of noise and vibration and current shape. it is possible to automation of the noise and vibration measurement in the Production line.

  • This paper presents a generator for stand-alone vibration monitoring system of bridge structure based on ambient vibration of bridge. In this paper, a novel electric power generator which has minimum effect of armature reaction is proposed. The related mechanical and electrical design equations are obtained and a pilot generator has been implemented. In addition, the charging system for extremely low generator current is discussed, and some improvements are identified for the system. This investigation reveals that diode characteristics of rectifier is dominant factor in the charging process. Finally, both the simulation, which uses real measurement data of the Namhae bridge as input of the pilot generator, and indoor test are carried out. The results showed the applicability and effectiveness of the stand-alone vibration powered generator.

  • This study had been performed to estimate for vibration characteristics of the Power Motor Coaches with Diesel-Hydraulic Drive and to secure a dynamic characteristic construction technology of another rolling stock. Air bags, springs and dampers of Bogie are carefully reviewed in order to improve ride quality. Dynamic analysis had been performed using VAMPIRE program, which had been developed by BRR, and the analysis results had been compared with test data to verify.

  • Flow induced vibration experiments were done to determine the vibration magnitude of tubes in the economizer tube lane region of a steam generator. The objective of this experiment is to demonstrate that the tubes are not susceptible to harmful levels of vibration at 100% of full power flow and to quantify the remaining design margin at 120% and 140% of full power flow.

Study on vibration energy characteristics of vehicle-track-viaduct coupling system considering partial contact loss beneath track slab

  • CA mortar layer disengagement will give rise to the overall structural changes of the track and variation in the vibration form of the ballastless track. By establishing a vehicle-track-viaduct coupling analysis and calculation model, it is possible to analyze the CRTS-I type track structure vibration response while the track slab is disengaging with the power flow evaluation method, to compare the two disengaging types, namely partial contact loss at one edge beneath track slab and partial contact loss at midpoint beneath track slab. It can also study how the length of disengaging influences the track structures vibration power. It is showed that when the partial contact loss beneath track slab, and the relative vibration energy level between the rail and the track slab increases significantly within [10, 200]Hz with the same disengaging length, the partial contact loss at one edge beneath track slab has more prominent influence on the vibration power than the partial contact loss at midpoint beneath track slab. With the increase of disengaging length, the relative vibration energy level of the track slab grows sharply, but it will change significantly when it reaches 1.56 m. Little effect will be caused by the relative vibration energy level of the viaduct. The partial contact loss beneath the track slab will cause more power distribution and transmission between the trail and track slab, and will then affect the service life of the rail and track slab.

Estimation of Vibrational Power Supplied From Vibration Source to Supporting Structure (진동원으로부터 지지구조물에 전달되는 진동 파워의 추정방법)

  • This paper proposes a method for estimating the vibrational power supplied by a machine that generates excitation force to its supporting structure via the coupling points. The basis of the method is that the vibrational power can be calculated using the mechanical impedance and the velocity at the coupling points on the supporting structure. First, a method is described to estimate the mobilities at the coupling points when the machine is not separable from the supporting structure, then the vibrational power is calculated using the estimated mobilities and measured velocities at the coupling points. The mobilities are estimated from the result of impulsive testing of the coupled structure. The method is investigated using an experimental model. The estimated and measured values of the mobilities and the vibrational power are compared. It is shown that the estimated values agree well with the measured values.

  • This paper deals with the HVDC system fault analysis and the sound noise analysis. In this paper, the reasons of the audible noise and vibration were analyzed, the fault waveform were analyzed using DTR (Digital Transient Recorder). Finally, using the fault current waveform and the vibration equation, the reason of crack of smoothing reactor support is estimated.
