  • The author has established a general equation for the travelling magnetic field in air gap with the end effect taken into consideration, which constitutes the basics for the analysis of characteristics of linear induction motor. This equation is verified by comparison of the experimental values with the theoretically calculated values. The properties of the travelling wave with attenuation, which is contained in the travelling magnetic field of linear induction motor, have been verified, and consequently the practicable equation is established with these effects taken into consideration. This provides the solid foundation for the theoretical analysis of the characteristics of the linear induction motor.

  • This paper suggests the algorithm for on-line efficiency control of permancent magnet synchronous motors driving the electric vehicles. The existance of unigue d-axis current is verified, which generates the maximum efficiency at operating points of motor. Using the Fibonacci search method, d-axis current converges to the minimization of inverter input power, and to prevent the variation of motor speed in process of the efficiency control, the voltage decoupled control strategy is introduced. Through the experiments, the effects of an efficiency control algorithm are verified.

  • The applicability of a new method, termed the whirling motion concept, for the iprovement of the surface finish in milling three-dimensional sculptured surfaces has been investigated. A method for implementing this concept on conventional NC machines that utilize a suitably configured attachment has been proposed. The tool path equation for the ball-end milling process, based on the Surface-Shaping system, has been obtained. Both results of the computer simulation and the experiment verified the computer simulation and the experiment verified the proposed approach.

  • An OBCS(on-board control system) which controls an operation of high speed train is a distributed control system which centrally supervises and controls a distributed system if independent units. A complicated process of design, implementation and test is needed to develop this system. The OBCS and its control algorithm are designed and verified by using the CASE Tool before it is implemented. Its functions are verified by the OBCS simulator. Hereafter, this verification process for Korean high-speed train being developed is presented.

  • In this paper the theoretical method to analyse the pore water pressures in the bed under the oscillating water pressure is developed. In the former researches the validity of the theoretical treatment for the one-dimensional problem has been verified. However, the one-dimensional treatment is not sufficient to obtain the precise information concerning the many practical problems. From this point of view, in this study, we derive the fundamental equations for the general three-dimensional sand layer under the oscillating water pressure. The validity of this theoretical method is verified by experiments for the two-dimensional problems.

  • High quality drinking water can be produced by membrane separation process. A major problem in the current system is a membrane fouling control. In order to investigate membrane fouling due to E.coll removal, lab scale experiment using MF and UF and semi pilot plant experiment using UV radiation or not was performed. AS a result, the possibility of membrane fouling control by repressing of micro-organism on the membrane surface was clearly verified. But it was not clearly verified in this experiment the combined effect with other factors such as Turbidity, organic and inorganic matters.

  • In this work, we developed a customized shielded cask transport system which is equipped with a railguided travelling unit and a position adjustment unit for the cask without any crane service. The designed solid model was verified to have sufficient safety margin by using structural analysis. The developed system was introduced to a hot-cell and successfully tested and verified to have required target performance.

  • In this study, how Choi Seok-Jeong made Hadoguodo is presumed. Choi SeokJeong's Hadoguodo does not actually reflect the Hado. But it is verified that Hadoguodo reflecting Hado can be made. In addition, it is verified that Hadoguodo can be made so that not only the sum of the nine numbers of each square are all 207 but also the sum of the nine numbers in the horizontal and vertical directions are all 207.

  • The purpose of this study was to show the detection of the head movement within relatively the posture function. An analysis of the posture function was inquired a displacement that the ranges of stance direction showed generally a variation across all condition through the head movement. CNS condition (C_RL-MIN-AVG) was verified slightly greater variation at $0.226{\pm}0.04$ units. Somatosensory condition (So_$RL-_{MIN-AVG}$) was verified slightly greater variation at $0.939{\pm}0.46$ units. Vestibular condition (Ve_$RL-_{MIN-AVG}$) was verified slightly greater variation at $4.009{\pm}1.05$ units. Vision condition (Vi_$RL-_{MIN-AVG}$) was verified greater variation at $8.336{\pm}4.05$ units. When the movement head of vision characteristic function was presented a diminutive variance. On the CNS characteristic condition of the movement head function was presented a diminutive variance.
