아파트 평면형에 따른 여름철 맞통풍 효과 비교 (A Comparative Study on the Cross-Ventilation Effect by the Floor Plan Type of Apartment House during Summer)

  • The purpose of this study is to make clear the cross-ventilation effect by floor plan type in apartment house during summer. The questionnaire survey was carried out during the 26$^{th}$ of August ${\sim}$ the 4$^{th}$ of September 2004. The respondents were 174 residents living in two subject apartment estates. One subject estate (we call A estate) was consisted apartment houses having cross-ventilation floor plan. The other subject estate (we cail B estate) was constructed apartment houses having ordinary floor plan. The field measurements of indoor thermal elements reflecting natural cooling effect by cross-ventilation were carried out at A house in A estate and at B house in B estate. The measurements in two subject houses were taken on simultaneously the 27$^{th}$ of August. The residents living in A apartment estate planed cross-ventilation type show positive responses on thermal sensation and airflow sensation. The averages indoor temperature and air velocity in the A house were 0.9 $^{\circ}$C lower and 0.29 m/s higher than the B house. Therefore, it was found that indoor thermal environment during summer in the house having cross-ventilation floor plan maintained more comfortable than the house having ordinary floor plan by natural cooling effect of cross-ventilation.

공동주택에서 환기장치류 가동특성에 따른 실내공기질 변화특성에 관한 연구 (The Effects to Indoor Air Quality as Ventilation System Operation in Apartment House Using CFD Simulation)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective ventilation strategies and control methods that can minimize energy cost maintaining acceptable IAQ level in apartment house. The effects of the air-cleaning and heat-recovery ventilation system on IAQ under various operating conditions are investigated based on the experimental and CFD analyzed results. The results can be summarized as follows. (1) When a ventilator is not operated, the concentration of several pollutants may highly show in the house even though environment-friendly building materials are applied. Therefore, a mechanical ventilation system is required to obtain proper ventilation. (2) The pollutant concentration is noticeably deceased under air-cleaning/ventilation mode of air-clinic system, however, pollutant of kitchen is stagnant, because fresh air is not carried into the kitchen. (3) When air-clinic system is only equipped at master bedroom and living room, the system does not effectively deliver fresh air throughout the whole house, and then high pollutant concentration is obtained in each room. In contrast the average pollutant concentration meets the guideline when air-clinic system is installed at each room. (4) The air-cleaning/ventilation mode significantly affects on room ventilation in comparison with ventilation mode only.

  • Accurate flow rate distribution has been become a very important part for controling of air change rate since the introduction of house ventilation system. An inappropriate selection of fan due to Incorrect prediction of friction loss makes waste energy. The purpose of this study is to recognize applicability of T-Method at house ventilation system by comparing experiment with T-method, The result of this study is as follows Flow rate is small amount in a house, so duct size must be accurate. And duct design with Equal Friction Loss Method presented large error range. Equal friction loss method is not fit to applicate small amount air flow rate. T-Method predicts accurate flow rate comparatively in a house ventilation system. Error range was 3.5%.

전산유체역학을 사용한 양돈장 내 작업환경 환기효율성 분석 (Analysis of Working Environment and Ventilation Efficiency in Pig House using Computational Fluid Dynamics)

  • The internal environment in pig house is closely related to the animal productivity. In addition, it is important to consider a working environment inside the pig house due to high gas and dust concentrations. The poor working environment inside the pig house can cause health problems including respiratory diseases. To analyze the working environment, it is important to evaluate the ventilation efficiency to effectively remove harmful gases and dust. The purpose of this study is to develop a 3D CFD model to analyze the working environment in the pig house. CFD model was validated by comparing air temperature distributions between CFD computed and field measured data. The average air flow rate at the pig height was 40.1 % lower than the working height when incoming air was concentrated on upper layer by the installed ventilation system on the experimental pig house. Using the validated CFD model, the regional ventilation efficiency was computed by the TGD(tracer gas decay) method at the pig and working heights. There was a difference of ventilation efficiency on 14 % between the air stagnated section and the rest sections. Stagnated gas concentration can be effected by animal and human health.

국내 이유자돈사 환기시설 실태 조사 (The Survey for Ventilation Systems of Weaned Pig House in Korea)

  • This survey was conducted to give the basic information for ventilation systems of weaned pig house to establish the acceptable ventilation system in Korea. A total of 11 farms were surveyed in this study and 1 more farm in each province was regionally selected. The general information, inlet and outlet ventilation system, alley in house, space allowance of weaned pigs and manure management were surveyed. Space allowance of weaned pig in 82% of surveyed farms met the legal standard. Side wall inlet and outlet ventilation system were 82% and 73% of surveyed farms, respectively. Moreover, 73% farms have alley in the pig house to control temperature of inlet air. In this survey, both planar slot and circular duct inlet system and side wall fan outlet system could be a favorable ventilation system in weaned pig house.

  • In previous research, most occupant said that they have not operated ventilation system installed in the house, because of increasing of energy consumption and unconcern of ventilation. Therefore, it is necessary to applied the sensor based demand controlled ventilation for the IAQ(Indoor Air Quality) and improvement of energy efficiency in ventilation strategy. The propose of this study is to present a application method of IR(Infrared) sensor for multi-zone DCV(Demand Controlled Ventilation) in the apartment house. It is possible that IR sensor could be used for DCV, because that could detect the occupant and action. IR sensor based DCV strategies are established to evaluate characteristic of application in the apartment house and simulated by Contam program. As a result, they have some week points though, if they would be applied DCV with optimum strategy, it would be useful to improve IAQ, to reduce energy consumption.

  • Trend of mechanical ventilation system applied to apartment house is introduced and feasibility study on installation of the individual room control ventilation as energy-saving method is carried out through field experiment. While initial cost of installation for the individual room control ventilation increases, the running cost is lower than the individual household control ventilation due to automatic flow rate control and reduction of fan power, and the management cost also decreases due to extension of use life of components. As the results of field experiment on $115m^2$-type apartment house, the individual room control ventilation could save the amount of 1,459.5Wh/day when compared with the individual room control ventilation

공동주택용 환기장치의 실내공기질 개선효과에 대한 현장실험연구 (Field Studies on the Improvement of Indoor Air Quality by Ventilator in Apartment Houses)

  • Ventilation system is being recommended as an effective tool to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) in apartment houses. Recently, in Korea, apartment house suppliers must establish ventilation system in apartment houses in law. In this study, improvement of IAQ by establishing mechanical ventilation system at apartment house was investigated by mockup test. Seven apartment houses were arranged for the test and improvement of IAQ was examined under the various conditions of ventilation rates, ventilator type and duct works. The results of this study show that IAQ in the test houses which were established mechanical ventilation system was improved about from 30% to 40% compared with IAQ in the apartment house which was not established ventilation system. However, there were no apparent concentration differences between the cases of changing ventilation rates, ventilator types and ductworks.

양파 수확 후 예건 방법이 저장 중 부패에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Pre-drying Methods on Onion Bulb Rot During Storage)

  • 양파의 예건 방법 및 기간이 저장 중 부패에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 만생종인 창녕대고 품종을 이용하여 1997년~1998년의 2개년 동안 양파를 수확 후 노지 포장과조립식 간이하우스(통풍) 및 조립식 간이하우스(무통풍)에서 1~3일간 예건 후 저장하여 실험하였다. 예건 기간중의 최고기온은 무 통풍 하우스에서 가장 높았고 노지 포장에서 가장 낮았으며 특히 무통풍 하우스에서 1997년 처리 2일째 및 3일째와 1998년 처리 2일째는 41.6$^{\circ}C$이상의 고온을 경과하였다. 수확 후의 양파 수분함량은 90.3~89.5%이었으며, 예건 후에는 1997년에는 0.3~l.8%가 감소되었고, 1998년에는 0.2~2.6%가 감소되었으며, 감량정도는 노지에서 가장 많았고, 통풍하우스에서 가장 적었다. 저장기간 중 최고기온은 1997년이 평균 39.2$^{\circ}C$로서 1998년의 37.1$^{\circ}C$에 비해 높게 경과하였으며, 상대습도는 7월은 1997년에 79.3%로서 1998년의 72.7%에 비해 높았으며, 8월은 1998년이 79.1%로서 1997년의 78.2% 보다 오히려 높게 경과하였다. 처리간 부패 발생은 1997년은 저장초기에 부패가 많이 발생하였으나, 1998년은 저장 중기 이후에 부패가 많이 발생하였으며 1997년에 비해 1998년에 부패가 많이 발생하였다. 총 부패율은 통풍하우스에서 가장 낮았고 무통풍 하우스에서 가장 높았으며, 예건 기간은 길수록 부패경감 효과가 높았다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 수확 후 저장 중 부패를 경감시키기 위해서는 통풍이 되는 하우스에서 1~2일 예건하거나 노지에서 2~3일 예건하는 것이 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

압력손실을 고려한 양돈시설의 반폐회로 환기시스템의 환기량 및 혼합비율 평가 (Evaluation of Ventilation Rate and External Air Mixing Ratio in Semi-closed Loop Ventilation System of Pig House Considering Pressure Loss)

  • The increase in the rearing intensity of pigs has caused deterioration in the pig house's internal environment such as temperature, humidity, ammonia gas, and so on. Traditionally, the widely used method to control the internal environment was through the manipulation of the ventilation system. However, the conventional ventilation system had a limitation to control the internal environment, prevent livestock disease, save energy, and reduce odor emission. To overcome this problem, the air-recirculated ventilation system was suggested. This system has a semi-closed loop ventilation type. For designing this system, it was essential to evaluate the ventilation rates considering the pressure loss of ducts. Therefore, in this study, pressure loss calculation and experiment were conducted for the quantitative ventilation design of a semi-closed loop system. The results of the experiment showed that the inlet through which external air flows should always be opened. In addition, it was also found that for the optimum design of the semi-closed loop ventilation system, it was appropriate to install a damper or a backflow prevention device rather than a ventilation fan.
