  • For a metric space (X, d) and ${\alpha}$ > 0. We study the structure and properties of vector-valued Lipschitz algebra $Lip{\alpha}(X,E)$ and $lip{\alpha}(X,E)$ of order ${\alpha}$. We investigate the approximate and Character amenability of vector-valued Lipschitz algebras.

  • This paper presents a servo control scheme for the surface-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) which essentially uses vector control algorithm. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM technique. The high-speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by TMS320C31 digital signal processor and IGBT module. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 2.2kW SPMSM and shows good dynamic performance.

  • We study Riemannian or pseudo-Riemannian manifolds which carry the space of closed conformal vector fields of at least 2-dimension. Subject to the condition that at each point the set of closed conformal vector fields spans a non-degenerate subspace of the tangent space at the point, we prove a global and a local classification theorems for such manifolds.

  • In this paper a space search technique is used to detect and locate the faults of the circuit interconnections. The circuit interconnections are represented by the tree structure and the tree space is searched to detect and locate the open faults of the circuit interconnections. The breadth search is used to detect the open faults and reduce the space size. The depth search is used to locate the open faults.

  • This paper proposes the model predictive control with space vector modulation (SVM) method for current control of voltage-source inverter. Unlike the conventional method using a limited number of voltage vectors by switching states, the proposed method can consider various voltage vectors to identify the optimized voltage vector. The various voltage vectors are obtained by subdividing existing voltage vectors. The optimized voltage vector that minimizes the cost function is selected and applied to the inverter by using the SVM. The various voltage vectors and SVM reduce current ripples in the output AC side of the inverter compared with the conventional method. The effectiveness and performance of the proposed method are verified through simulation and experiment with a three-phase two-level voltage-source grid-connected inverter.

  • This paper proposes a framework of superpixel-based vehicle detection method using plane normal vector in disparity space. We utilize two common factors for detecting vehicles: Hypothesis Generation (HG) and Hypothesis Verification (HV). At the stage of HG, we set the regions of interest (ROI) by estimating the lane, and track them to reduce computational cost of the overall processes. The image is then divided into compact superpixels, each of which is viewed as a plane composed of the normal vector in disparity space. After that, the representative normal vector is computed at a superpixel-level, which alleviates the well-known problems of conventional color-based and depth-based approaches. Based on the assumption that the central-bottom of the input image is always on the navigable region, the road and obstacle candidates are simultaneously extracted by the plane normal vectors obtained from K-means algorithm. At the stage of HV, the separated obstacle candidates are verified by employing HOG and SVM as for a feature and classifying function, respectively. To achieve this, we trained SVM classifier by HOG features of KITTI training dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed vehicle detection system outperforms the conventional HOG-based methods qualitatively and quantitatively.

  • In this paper a new generalized space vector pulse width modulation scheme is proposed based on the principle of reverse mapping to drive the switches of multilevel inverters. This projected scheme is developed based on the middle vector of the subhexagon which holds the tip of the reference vector, which plays a major role in mapping the reference vector. A new approach is offered to produce middle vector of the subhexagon which holds tip of the reference vector in the multilevel space vector plane. By using middle vector of the subhexagon, reference vector is linked towards the inner two level sub-hexagon. Then switching vectors, switching sequence and dwell times corresponding to a particular sector of a two-level inverter are determined. After that, by using the two level stage findings, the switching vectors related to exact position of the reference vector are directly generated based on principle of the reverse mapping approach and do not need to be found at n level stage. In the reverse mapping principle, the middle vector of subhexagon is added to the formerly found two level switching vectors. The proposed generalized algorithm is efficient and it can be applied to an inverter of any level. In this paper, the proposed scheme is explained for a five-level inverter and the performance is analyzed for five level and three level inverters through MATLAB. The simulation results are validated by implementing the propose scheme on a V/f controlled three-level inverter fed induction motor using dSPACE control desk.

  • For a smooth plane curve, the curvature can be characterized by the rate of change of the angle between the tangent vector and a fixed vector. In this article we prove that the curvature of a space curve can also be given by the rate of change of the locally defined angle between the tangent vector at a point and the nearby point. By using height functions, we introduce turning angle of a space curve and characterize the curvature by the rate of change of the turning angle. The main advantage of the turning angle is that it can be used to characterize the curvature of discrete curves. For this purpose, we introduce a discrete turning angle and a discrete curvature called visual curvature for space curves. We can show that the visual curvature is an approximation of curvature for smooth curves.

  • We study totally real and complex subsets of a right quarternionic vector space of dimension n + 1 with a Hermitian form of signature (n, 1) and extend these notions to right quaternionic projective space. Then we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a subset of a right quaternionic projective space to be totally real or complex in terms of the quaternionic Hermitian triple product. As an application, we show that the limit set of a non-elementary quaternionic Kleinian group 𝚪 is totally real (resp. commutative) with respect to the quaternionic Hermitian triple product if and only if 𝚪 leaves a real (resp. complex) hyperbolic subspace invariant.
