Orthogonal variable spreading factor encoded unmanned aerial vehicle-assisted nonorthogonal multiple access system with hybrid physical layer security

  • Physical layer security (PLS) can improve the security of both terrestrial and nonterrestrial wireless communication networks. This study proposes a simplified framework for nonterrestrial cyclic prefixed orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF)-encoded multiple-input and multiple-output nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems to ensure complete network security. Various useful methods are implemented, where both improved sine map and multiple parameter-weighted-type fractional Fourier transform encryption schemes are combined to investigate the effects of hybrid PLS. In addition, OVSF coding with power domain NOMA for multi-user interference reduction and peak-toaverage power ratio (PAPR) reduction is introduced. The performance of $\frac{1}{2}$-rated convolutional, turbo, and repeat and accumulate channel coding with regularized zero-forcing signal detection for forward error correction and improved bit error rate (BER) are also investigated. Simulation results ratify the pertinence of the proposed system in terms of PLS and BER performance improvement with reasonable PAPR.

  • 본 논문에서는 농형유도발전기를 이용한 계통연계형 풍력발전시스템의 가변속제어 기법이 제안된다. 농형유도발 전기는 간접벡터제어 방식으로 동작되는데 d-축 전류에 의해 여자가 제어되고 q-축 전류에 토크가 제어된다. 이 토크제어에 의해 발전기는 풍속의 변화에 대해서 항상 최대전력을 발생하도록 가변속 제어된다. 발전된 전력은 back-to-back PWM 컨버터에 의해 계통으로 공급된다. 계통측 컨버터는 q-축 전류 제어에 의해 직류링크 전압을 제어하고 d-축 전류 제어에 의해 계통측 역률을 제어할 수 있다. 제안된 기법은 M-G세트로 구성된 터빈시뮬레이터를 이용하여 실험적으로 검증된다.

  • This work proposes a simple control method of a buck-type active power decoupling circuit that can minimize the ripple values in the dc link voltage. The proposed method utilizes a simplified duty calculation method and an optimal compensation gain tracking algorithm with variable-step approach. Thus, the dc link voltage ripple can be effectively reduced through the proposed method along with rapid response in tracking the optimum compensation gain. Moreover, the proposed method has better dynamic responses in the load fluctuation or abnormal situation. MATLAB/Simulink simulation and hardware-in-the-loop-simulation(HILS)-based experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

  • In a competitive electricity power market, the price of electricity changes instantly, that of conventional market is predetermined and hardly changes. In such a new environment, customers' behaviors change instantly according to the changing electricity prices. If we develop a electricity load model that well describes the behavior of electricity consumers, we can utilize that model in forecasting the amount of future load, solving the load flow problem and finding the weak point of the system. In this paper new electricity model that considers the price of electricity and power factor of the load is presented. While conventional load model, which is demand function of electricity, uses the price of real and reactive power as the independent variable of the demand function. this new load model uses price of real power and penalty factor according to the power factor for the calculation of amount of electricity demand.

  • Three phase Boost/Buck converter which have economical merits and simple control scheme, are analyzed and evaluated through comparative methods and digital simulation for equivalent load. Those play a part of voltage boost/buck as well as power factor correction with single switch. Controller operating in constant and variable frequency is used for rapid output response and stable system condition respectively. Moreover low THD property of single switched converters is available for inverter arc welding machine known as high power and low power factor. So, in this paper a comparison of the characteristics in boost and buck converter is described and then simulation results conforms the merits from point of view of power factor and voltage regulator.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 2개의 전력 처리단을 갖는 컨버터를 단일 전력단으로 구성하고, ZVS기법을 이용한 고역률 단일전력단 고주파 공진 AC-DC 컨버터를 제안하고 있다. 입력단에 승압형 역률개선 인덕터를 연결하여 일정 듀티비와 가변 스위칭 주파수로 입력전류를 불연속 모드로 제어함으로써 입력 역률을 개선하는 것이 가능하였다. 종래의 2개 전력 처리단을 가지는 컨버터의 경우 역률 제어용 스위치가 별도로 필요하지만 전력 처리단을 하나로 단일화 시키므로써 컨버터의 구성이 간략화 되어져, 비용의 저감과 신뢰성을 증가시킬 수 있는 등의 장점이 있다. 본 연구는 고역률 단일전력단 AC-DC 컨버터의 동작원리와 무차원화 파라미터를 이용한 특성평가를 범용성 있게 행하여, 특성평가에서 산출한 특성값을 기초로 하여 실험장치를 제작하였으며, 실험치와 이론치를 비교ㆍ검토하여 제안 회로의 특성해석의 정당성을 입증하고 있다.

  • Electric power quality in power transmission/distribution systems has considerably been deteriorated with the increase in the capacity of distributed generators (DGs). It is because inverters, connecting DGs to conventional power grids, tend to generate harmonic current and voltage. For harmonic mitigation, a large amount of research has been done on passive and active filters, which have been operating successfully in many countries. This paper, therefore, presents how to adopt the filters to an inverter-based DG, with considering a system consisting of both inverter-based DG and harmonic filters. In particular, this paper describes the simulation results using the PSCAD/EMTDC: firstly, the relationship between total harmonic distortion(THD) of current and output power of DG: secondly, the harmonic mitigation ability of passive and active filters. The system, furthermore, is obliged to satisfy the regulations made by Korean Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO). In the regulations, power factor should be maintained between 0.9 and 1 in a grid-connected mode. Thus, this paper suggests two methods for the system to control its power factor. First, the inverter of DG should control power factor rather than an active filter because it brings dramatic decrease in the capacity of the active filter. Second, DG should absorb reactive power only in the range of low output power in order to prevent useless capacity increase of the inverter. This method is expected to result in the variable power factor of the system according to its output power.

  • The PWM(Pulse Width Modulated) converter for the AC to DC rectification has become attractive in the industrial variable-speed drive application and the electric utilities due to the following benefits: Nearly the sinusoidal input current with unity power factor; Controllable DC link voltage; Bidirectional power flow. This paper presents a quantitative analysis of single and three phase PWM converter's input and output characteristics as a function of the input filter inductance under balanced and unbalanced conditions. Also, its performance under the supply voltage including harmonics is investigated by simulation with Matlab Simlulink and experiments. These results provide a reference for selecting the reasonable converter's input filter inductance for given harmonics or power factor criterion.

  • This paper presents a novel single-stage high frequency resonant DC-DC converter using zero voltage switching with high input power factor. The proposed high frequency resonant converter integrates half-bridge boost rectifier as power factor corrector (PFC) and half-bridge resonant converter into a single stage. The input stage of the half-bridge boost rectifier is working in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) with constant duty cycle and variable switching frequency. So that a high power factor is achieved naturally. Simulation results through the Pspice have demonstrated the feasibility of the Proposed DC-DC converter. This proposed converter will be able to be practically used as a power supply in various fields as induction heating applications, DC-DC converter etc.
