Effect of the variable visco-Pasternak foundations on the bending and dynamic behaviors of FG plates using integral HSDT model

  • In this work, the bending and dynamic behaviors of advanced composite plates resting on variable visco-Pasternak foundations are studied using a simple shear deformation integral plate model. The research is carried out with a view to a three-parameter foundation including the influences of the variable Winkler coefficient, the constant Pasternak coefficient and the damping coefficient of the elastic medium. The present theory uses a displacement field with integral terms instead of derivative terms by including also the shear deformation effect without introducing the shear correction factors. The equations of motion for advanced composite plates are obtained using the Hamilton principle. Analytical solutions for the bending and dynamic analysis are deduced for simply supported plates resting on variable visco-Pasternak foundations. Some numerical results are presented to demonstrate the impact of material index, elastic foundation type, and damping coefficient of the foundation, on the bending and dynamic responses of advanced composite plates.

  • We generate simplex polynomials by using a method, which produces an OPS in (d + 1) variables from an OPS in d variables and the Jacobi polynomials. Also we obtain a partial differential equation of the form $${\Sigma}_{i,j=1}^{d+1}\;A_ij{\frac{{\partial}^2u}{{\partial}x_i{\partial}x_j}}+{\Sigma}_{i=1}^{d+1}\;B_iu\;=\;{\lambda}u$$, which has simplex polynomials as solutions, where ${\lambda}$ is the eigenvalue parameter.

  • In this paper an FIR(finite impulse response) filter and smoother are introduced for discrete time-invariant state-space models with driving noises. The FIR structure not only quarantees the BIBO stability and the robustness to parameter changes but also improves the filter divergence problem. It is shown that the impulse responses of the FIR filter and the smoother are obtained by Riccati-type difference equations and that they are to be time-invariant and reduced to very simple forms. For implementational purpose, recursive forms of the FIR filler and smoother are derived with each other used as the adjoint variable.

  • In the study, simulation result was studied by connecting PID controller in series to the established Neural Networks Controller. Neural Network model is composed of two layers to evaluate tracking performance improvement. The reqular dynamic characteristics was also studied for the expected error to be minimized by using Widrow-Hoff delta rule. As a result of the study, We identified that tracking performance inprovement was developed more in case of connecting PID than Neural Network Contoller and that tracking plant parameter in 251 sample was approached rapidly case of time variable.

  • This paper gives a controller design method by Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) for internal combustion engine with Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) which satisfies the given $H_\infty$ control performance and robust stability in the presence of physical parameter perturbations. To the end, the validity and applicability of this approach are illustrated by simulation in the all engine operating regions.

  • In this paper we investigate an functional central limit theorem for a nonstatioary d-parameter array of associated random variables applying the crite-rion of the tightness condition in Bickel and Wichura[1971]. Our results imply an extension to the nonstatioary case of invariance principle of Burton and Kim(1988) and analogous results for the d-dimensional associated random measure. These re-sults are also applied to show a new functional central limit theorem for Poisson cluster random variables.

  • In this paper, we described the integrated monitoring system for low-voltage panel boards. This system consists of three parts, a panel board controller, an integrated monitoring unit and a remote PC. The panel board controller which was made of CT/PT unit, control unit and power supply is able to transmit variable parameter for monitoring and diagnosis of low voltage branch circuits. Also, the integrated monitoring unit was collected monitoring data from panel boards and displayed on the touch panel.

  • In this paper, to overcome drawbacks of variable structure control system a self-tuning fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm using gradient descent method is proposed. The proposed method has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of disturbance, parameter variations and uncertainties in the sliding mode. To demonstrate its performance, the proposed control algorithm is applied to a one-degree of freedom robot arm. The results show that both alleviation of chattering and performance are achieved.

  • In this paper, we suggest a new quasi-sliding mode condition with a wighting factor which guarantees all the states to reach switching planes and improves the convergence of the state trajectories. The result of computer simulation shows that by the suitable selection of a weighting factor, all the state trajectories reach switching planes and enter the sliding mode having the property of the insensitivity to parameter variation and disturbances.

  • An attitude control of an air vehicle based on the variable structure control is proposed. For an air vehicle, minimum weight is required. Thus, it is desired to reduce the input energy. The optimal state portrait curve using time-varying sliding surface is proposed to reduce the control energy. Tracking performance of the closed loop system is guaranteed under the existence of parameter variation and external disturbances.
