다감각놀이치료 프로그램이 ADHD 아동의 주의집중력과 학습에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Multi-Sensory Play Therapy Program on the Attention and Learning of Children with ADHD)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of multi-sensory treatment programs on attention and learning in ADHD children. Methods : The program was provided for 50 minutes twice a week for a total of 12 times over 6 weeks. The FAIR concentration test was used to identify the children's concentration of attention before and after the intervention. The children's learning ability was evaluated using K-ABC. Results : When attention was evaluated using FAIR, there was a significant increase in all dependencies of performance value (P), quality value (Q), and continuity value (C) (p>.05). In addition, when learning ability was evaluated using K-ABC, learning ability in general increased significantly (p>.05). The multi-sensory play therapy program had a positive effect on the children's attention and learning ability and thus it is a positive intervention method for children with ADHD. Conclusion : In addition to providing challenging activities, the program showed that it was possible to elicit the children's interest by engaging a variety of senses at the same time. This is believed to have motivated them internally to engage actively in the program.

미학적 놀이 개념과 알바 알토의 건축 (Aesthetic Concept of Play and Architecture of Alvar Aalto)

  • The purpose of this research is to rethink Alvar Aalto's architecture on the basis of the aesthetic concept of play. This attempt is valid because he had asserted the importance of play in his design. But more fundamentally, his critical view of the instrumentalised rationalism implied the idea that a human being is "Man the Player" as well as "Man the Thinker", of which theory was elaborated in Johan Huizinga's Homo Ludens (1938). Premised on it, this paper investigated the evolution of the play idea in aesthetics and located Aalto's concept within the map. Summing up, his play was an intuitively grasped desire opposed to a rational requirement, which leads to a dialectical synthesis. This schema is similar to that of Schiller, in which Spiel reconciles the reason and the sense. However, Aalto's play could be differentiated into the "astonishingly rational" and "a jest", each of which roughly corresponds to the Spieltrieb (play impulse) and the sinnliche Trieb (sensuous impulse) in Schiller's thinking. On the other hand, Aalto's architecture illustrates play that could be interpreted as the overflow of surplus energy. This play is the very concept that can bridge the gap in the form-function formula of modern architecture. Aalto's play idea seemed to basically originate from his personality but its value must be confirmed by the Finnish litterateur Yrjo Hirn as Aalto mentioned in his statements (1953 & 1972). It appears that Aalto's play concept was materialised in architecture through his typical design language, such as the undulating wall, the aperspective space, the imitation of nature and the collage of heterogenous elements. However, we should be careful not to reductively analyse the application of play in practise. As Huizinga's comprehensive theory suggests, the play element exists in any cultural areas including any architectural activities. In conclusion, this paper argues that Alvar Aalto the Homo Ludens presented the possibility of critical rationalism in modern architecture by imbuing dry modernism with "the life enhancing charm" of "the art of play".

Uncertainty, View, and Hedging: Optimal Choice of Instrument and Strike for Value Maximization

  • This paper analytically studies how to choose hedging instrument for firms with steady operating cash flows from value maximization perspective. I derive a formula to determine option's optimal strike that makes hedged cash flow have the best monetary payoff given a hedger's view on the underlying asset. I find that not only the expected mean but also the expected standard deviation of the underlying asset in relation to the forward price and the implied volatility play a crucial role in making optimal hedging decision. Higher moments play a certain part in hedging decision but to a lesser degree.

새터가을굿놀이의 전승과 음악적 양상 (The tradition and musical aspect of the Saeteo-gaeulgut-nori(Play))

  • 새터가을굿놀이는 밀양시 초동면 신호리(일명 새터)에서 가을걷이를 할 때 부른 민요를 놀이와 결부시킨 것으로, 가을타작이 끝날 무렵 당산제를 지내고 풍년잔치를 벌인 것에서 유래한다. 새터가을굿놀이는 크게 세 마당으로 구성된다. 첫째마당은 도입부에 해당되는 1)입장굿, 둘째마당은 2)성황고사마당, 3)공상타작소리, 4)가을작마당, 5)뿍대기타작, 6)목메놀이 등의 놀이마당, 셋째마당은 7)판굿인 대동화합마당으로 구성된다. 밀양은 상원(上元)놀이와 중원(中元)놀이가 각각 무형문화재로 지정되어 있을 정도로, 농경의식이 발달하였다. 특히 하원놀이의 전승이 전국적으로 미약하다는 점에서 새터가을굿놀이의 전승적 가치는 매우 높다. 새터가을굿놀이의 전반적인 소리는 모두 메나리토리가 근간을 이루고 있으며, 경상도 민요의 특징을 잘 지니고 있다.

어린이 놀이터 놀이시설의 안전도에 관한 조사 (An Actual Measurement on Safety of Play Equipments in the Outdoor Playground)

  • The purposes of this study actually measure to the dimension and the quality of material play equipment's examine whether they meet safety standards or not, and intend to offer basic data to present proper safety standards concerning the dimension of play equipment in the end. The subjects for this study were 59 outdoor playgrounds, 30 among them located in apartment sites and the remainder did in residential districts. The time of actual measurement was in June 1999, and June 2000. Data were analyzed into frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation by using SPSSWIN program. The main results were as follows.: First, more than half of playgrounds were assessed for being traffic hazards due to the adjacent streets. And they were hardly equipped with the toilet and drinking water facilities, but were almost equipped with the shade of a tree and benches. Second, it was caused in inconvenience of children's use and difficulty of play equipments'management, since the quality of play equipments materials was consisted of wood or metal. Third, the standards for swing and slide were established in detail and actual measurement's results were suitable to standards'value as well, whereas the standards for seesaw and climber were not in detail and they did not design or install suitably.

교수체제개발에 기초한 놀이교육 프로그램 개발 (Play and Education Program Development Based on the Instructional Systems Development)

  • 본 연구는 교수체제개발에 기초하여 초등학생을 대상으로 한 놀이교육 프로그램을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ADDIE모형을 활용하여 협동학습과 프로젝트 기반의 과제 수행이 가능한 놀이교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 내부 연구진, 교수설계 전문가, 내용 전문가의 검토 및 수정 과정을 거쳐 개발된 최종 놀이교육 프로그램은 디자인 및 계획 세우기, 놀이 공간 모형 만들기, 전시회 준비 및 작품 감상하기의 총 세 가지 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 학생들이 자신이 원하는 놀이공간을 또래 학생들과의 협업을 통해 프로젝트를 수행하는 것을 본 프로그램의 목적으로 세웠다. 개발된 놀이교육 프로그램은 충주시 소재 초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 검증하였다. 놀이교육 프로그램이 종료된 시점에 13명의 학생을 대상으로 FGI를 시행하여 본 프로그램의 지속가능성 여부를 포함한 놀이교육 프로그램의 전반적인 가치를 측정하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 놀이교육 프로그램의 효과 및 시사점을 도출하고 향후 놀이교육 및 프로젝트에 대한 발전 방안을 제시하였다.

호두까기 인형의 아동극 무대의상 디자인 연구 (A Study on the Stage Costume Designs of the Children's Play, 'The Nutcracker')

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of stage costumes of a children's play and to creatively design them for the play, 'The Nutcracker', in an attempt to expand the means of expressing designs for stage costumes for children's plays. The Nutcracker, a play written by the German author, E. T. A. Hoffman in 1816, is better known today through its ballet adaptation by Tchaikovsky, and various versions have been presented by ballet companies and drama producers. The characteristics of the stage costume in a children's play are visual artistry, decoration, activity, and visual attention. The costume shows visual artistry because stage costumes with high artistry can increase the elements of fantasy and visual satisfaction in a play for children. The various decorative elements in stage costumes can help capture the attention of children and enhance their interest in the play. As dynamic movement and lines are often used to prevent children from becoming bored, activity must be taken into account when designing stage costumes. Visual attention is required to help children become better immersed in a play, and color selections for the stage costumes need to be emphasized. Thirteen characters were selected to develop a total of 13 pieces of stage costume in a standard size for a 9-year-old child. The design was focused on enhancing the fantastic elements and the entertainment value, and diversified surface decoration techniques were applied to the costume to draw the attention of children and express the formative beauty.

신중신탈놀이 연구 (Sinjungsin Mask Play Study)

  • 땅설법의 하나인 신중신탈놀이는 '성주신 일대기'와 관련이 있다. 신중신탈놀이는 성주신이 귀양을 가면서 만난 민속신들에 관한 이야기를 가면극으로 재구성한 것이다. 성주신일대기를 탈놀이의 형태로 진행하며, 설법을 주도하는 스님은 해설과 주요 배역을 맡는다. 다수의 신도들은 여러 배역과 악사의 역할을 한다. 신중신탈놀이에서는 많은 민속신앙이 소개되고, 흥미유발을 위한 소리, 재담 등이 포함되어있다. 신중신탈놀이는 기존 탈놀이와 마찬가지로 단어의 나열과 반복을 통한 연행 방식을 사용한다. 문장이나 구절의 반복은 관중들에게 문맥의 의미를 예지하거나 줄거리의 전개양상을 선지할 수 있는 역할을 한다. 이러한 반복은 장면의 상황을 강조하고 율동감을 조성하기 위한 것이다. 탈놀이는 서민층의 전유물이었기 때문에, 탈놀이꾼들이 민요에서 흔히 사용되는 반복방식을 대사에 활용한다. 그로인해 관중에게 친숙감을 주고, 관중의 취향에 부응하는 것이다. 신중신탈놀이는 대중의 포교를 위해 민중의 연희방식을 차용하였다. 단어 또는 문장이나 구절의 반복, 단어나 문장의 대구, 기존 가요의 차용, 공식적 표현단위 등 전통연희의 극적 형식을 계승하고 있다. 또한 반복적 연행단락을 통하여 신자들이 직간접적으로 쉽게 익히고 이해할 수 있도록 하였다. 신중신탈놀이는 신앙공동체를 중심으로 전승되었고, 불법을 확산하기 위한 민중교화의 수단으로 활용되었다. 불교가 민속신앙을 수용하는 과정을 탈놀이를 통해 외연화하고, 직간접적으로 참여한 신도의 경우 놀이를 통해 자연스럽게 화엄경의 신앙체계를 체득하게 된다. 땅설법 중 하나인 신중신탈놀이는 대중교화나 포교뿐만 아니라 무형문화유산으로서의 가치 또한 지대하다고 할 수 있다.

과학 놀이를 이용한 과학수업이 과학 탐구 능력과 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Science Process Skills and Science Related Attitude on the Science-play through the Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the science-play in the regular class, stimulate the student's curiosity, motivate them and take active part in their science class. To make an effective science class, we developed the science-play activity instead of experiments in the text, and applied it to the class. The experimental group has statistically meaningful results in the science process skills, expecially in subordinate elements such as observation, deduction, expectation, data analysis and assumption establishments(p<.01). However, the comparative group has no meaningful results in the science process skills. Though the average value of the science related attitude in the experimental group had only a little increase and had no statistically meaningful results, that in the comparative group has decreased during the same period. As for the experimental group, the science-play activities were repeated and their science related attitude has increased a little. Even though there were no meaningful statistic results(p>.05), the science-play activity was effective in the science related attitude. As a result of this research, it could be said that the science-play activity can improve the student's science process skills and the science related attitude, and the science-play program should be further developed and applied to make easy and effective science classes.

Optimum Strategies in Red & Black

  • In a game called red and black, you can stake any amount is in your possession. Suppose your goal is 1 and your current fortune is $f$, with 0$p$ and lose your stake with probability, $q$=1-$p$. In this paper, we consider optimum strategies for this game with the value of $p$ less than $^1/_2$ where the house has the advantage over the player, and with the value of $p$ greater than $^1/_2$ where the player has the advantage over the house. The optimum strategy at any $f$ when $p$<$^1/_2$ is to play boldly, which is to bet as much as you can. The optimum strategy when $p$>$^1/_2$ is to bet $f\cdot\alpha$with $\alpha$, a sufficiently small number between 0 and 1.
