This research aimed to understand selfie behavior in social networking sites (SNSs). The research was conducted on the basis of the functional theories of attitude, verified self-presentation attitude, and self-expression attitude that affect selfie behaviors (i.e., taking selfies, posting selfies, and taking selfies for fashion product exposure). The moderating effect of satisfaction toward one's appearance was identified. The participants of the study were SNS users aged 20-30 years who had posted selfies in the past month. A survey was performed using an online panel of an international survey firm. The data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis on SPSS 22.0. Results corroborated that self-expression attitude affected the number of selfies taken but not the number of selfies posted and those uploaded for fashion product exposure. Self-presentation attitude exerted a significant effect on the number of selfies posted and those uploaded for fashion product exposure. When satisfaction toward one's appearance was high, self-presentation attitude increased the influence of the behaviors of posting selfies and uploading selfies for fashion product exposure. Self-expression attitude also significantly influenced the number of selfies taken due to the moderating effect of satisfaction toward one's appearance. This research was made meaningful by its quantitative analysis of selfie behavior in SNSs. The results confirmed the different functions of attitudes affecting selfie behavior. With the improved understanding of selfie behavior obtained from this research, Social Media marketing may be carried out in various industrial fields in the future.
The purpose of this study was to develop an Implicit Association Test to measure students' gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics, a required subject in middle-school and to examine the effects of gender, gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics, and gender egalitarianism on the perception of the subject. A total of 508 male and female middle-school students were surveyed using Qualtrics. The results revealed that the students had a gender-biased attitude of perceiving Home Economics as feminine as a whole, and this tendency was more evident among female than male students. To the contrary, their attitudes toward Home Economics as a subject was generally favorable when asked explicitly using self-administered questions. Among the high school elective classes, students preferred 'fashion' most, followed by 'dietary life', 'technology and home economics', and 'family life culture'. Female students, students with patriarchal attitude, and students who has gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics were more likely to perceive Home Economics as an alienated and less important subject. The generally positive explicit attitude toward Home Economics may be the results the social desirability effect due to the education. However, the home economists should develop a plan to overcome the gender-biased implicit attitude in order for the value of Home Economics as a subject to be fully addressed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nursing students' knowledge and attitude toward advance directives and factors influencing the attitude. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used and 196 nursing students participated in the study. Data were collected from July 1 to August 30, 2018 using a structured questionnaire which included biomedical ethics, awareness of good death, knowledge and attitude toward advance directives. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 25.0 program with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression. Results: The mean score of biomedical ethics, awareness of good death, knowledge and attitude toward advance directives were $2.88{\pm}0.59$, $3.18{\pm}0.48$, $7.68{\pm}31.32$, $31.00{\pm}3.09$. Factors influencing the attitude toward advance directives were awareness of good death (${\beta}=.28$, p<.001), intention of writing their advance directives (${\beta}=.19$, p=.006), the knowledge related to advance directives (${\beta}=.15$, p=.029). A total of 14% of attitude toward advance directives was explained by awareness of good death, the knowledge related to advance directives, and ntention of writing their advance directives. Conclusion: The findings of the study indicate that it is necessary to provide a systemic education program regarding advance directives for nursing students in order to provide knowledge related to advance directives and to help them establish positive attitudes toward advance directives.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to identify patterns of gender role attitude among older men and women and to investigate the effects of the identified patterns on marital quality for each gender. Method: The Third National Survey of Korean Families was utilized and 981 men and 752 women aged 60 and above, who have been married for over 20 years and have at least one child, were analyzed. Using Mplus 7.3, a latent profile analysis (LPA) identified latent profiles of gender role attitude for each gender. Then, using SPSS 23.0, multiple regression analysis analyzed the effects of the identified patterns on both marital satisfaction and marital conflict. Results: The latent profile analysis identified two patterns of traditional and partially egalitarian gender role attitudes each for the older men and women. Also, means on items relevant to the male breadwinner model and the male-oriented family culture were relatively low for both men and women regardless of the patterns. For the older men, the effects of the gender role attitude patterns on marital satisfaction and marital conflict were both significant; those individuals with the partially egalitarian gender role attitude pattern reported higher levels of marital satisfaction and lower levels of marital conflict than those individuals with the traditional gender role attitude pattern. However, the effects of the gender role attitude patterns on marital satisfaction and marital conflict were both not significant for the older women. Conclusions: The findings from this study suggest that political interventions are required to promote an egalitarian family culture for older adults. Moreover, its findings may be useful in the field of marriage and family therapy to develop educational programs that seek to improve marital quality in later life.
In recent years, researches utilizing UAV for military purposes such as precision tracking and batting have been actively conducted. In order to track the preceding flight, there has been a previous research on estimating the attitude information of the flight such as roll, pitch, and yaw using images taken from the rear UAV. In this study, we propose a method to estimate the attitude information more precisely by applying the Kalman filter to the existing image processing technique. By applying the Kalman filter to the estimated attitude data using image processing, we could reduce the estimation error of the attitude angle significantly. Through the simulation experiments, it was confirmed that the estimation using the Kalman filter can estimate the posture information of the aircraft more accurately.
The objective of this study were to (1) investigate the relationship between evaluations of apparel advertising, fashion involvement, and social attitudes, (2) examine how evaluation of apparel advertising, fashion involvement, and social attitudes vary according to gender, and (3) investigate the possible differences in purchase attitudes toward the advertised apparels according to gender and advertisement slogan. Questionnaire for evaluations of apparel advertising was comprised of four sections; apparel advertising acceptance, evaluation of advertisement slogan, purchase attitude toward the advertised apparels, and perception of effective media for apparel advertising. For evaluation of advertisement slogan, 5 sets of apparel advertisements were selected. Each set had two advertisements; one advertisement contained an image-oriented slogan, while the other had a quality-oriented slogan. "The Social Attitude Scale' by Kerlinger and 'Fashion Involvement Index' by Tigert, Ring & King were used. All the items were selected on the Cronbach's alpha reliability. The subjects were 217 college male and famale students in Seoul; 60 were asked about purchase attitude toward the image-oriented slogan, 60 purchase attitude toward the quality-oriented slogan, and 97 all the items included in evaluation of the two slogans. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, X2-test, t-test, two-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were the followings. 1. Fashion involvement had positive relationship with apparel advertising acceptance. The higher the level of conservative attitude males had, the more positive attitude they had in fashion involvement and apparel advertising acceptance. Subjects high in conservative attitude, fashion involvement, and apparel advertising acceptance. Subjects high in conservative attitude, fashion involvement, and apparel advertising acceptance had more positive in purchase of the advertised apparels. 2. Females high in apparel advertising acceptance were more favorable toward image-oriented advertisements. 3. Fashion involvement and apparel advertising acceptance were significantly higher in females than in males. Liberal attitude was significantly higher in males than in females. Evaluation of advertisement slogan did not differ according to gender. 4. Males perceived 'TV' was the most effective media for apparel advertising while females perceived 'display' was the most effective. 5. No significant interactions between advertisement slogan and gender were found in purchase attitude of the advertising apparels. 6. Apparel advertising acceptance was influenced by fashion involvement, social attitude, and sex. The explanatory power of the three variables was 17%.
According to adaptive structuration theory, faithfulness of appropriation(FOA), and consensus on appropriation(COA) are variables for measuring appropriation in use of IT. FOA is the level of interpreting and using the intentions of the IT designers objectively and COA is the level of agreement on ways of using IT among or with user group independently of designers' intention. In traditional theories of IT adoption, computer self-efficacy(CSE), self evaluation on abilities of using computer, has been considered as one of the important individual differences. which would influence on beliefs of using IT. Therefore, considering the relationship among CSE, FOA, COA and attitude, we can hypothesize that CSE would play a moderation varaible among appropriation related variables relationships, FOA-attitude and COA-attitude. The objective of this study is an analysis of CSE's moderation effects in causality relationship among appropriation measuring variables. For this purpose, we propose a research model where there are four hypotheses for moderation effects of CSE on the relationships between appropriation variables. We test these hypotheses by sampling ERP and groupware users. In result, our proposed hypotheses except moderation effect of COA-usefulness are accepted. Main contribution of this study is to identify the relationship between CSE and AST. This study implies that very careful consideration of users' CSE is necessary in order to perform managerial activities based on FOA and COA in IT management department.
The problem of spacecraft attitude control is solved using an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). An ANFIS produces a control signal for one of the three axes of a spacecraft's body frame, so in total three ANFISs are constructed for 3-axis attitude control. The fuzzy inference system of the ANFIS is initialized using a subtractive clustering method. The ANFIS is trained by a hybrid learning algorithm using the data obtained from attitude control simulations using state-dependent Riccati equation controller. The training data set for each axis is composed of state errors for 3 axes (roll, pitch, and yaw) and a control signal for one of the 3 axes. The stability region of the ANFIS controller is estimated numerically based on Lyapunov stability theory using a numerical method to calculate Jacobian matrix. To measure the performance of the ANFIS controller, root mean square error and correlation factor are used as performance indicators. The performance is tested on two ANFIS controllers trained in different conditions. The test results show that the performance indicators are proper in the sense that the ANFIS controller with the larger stability region provides better performance according to the performance indicators.

This paper describes a monocular vision-based formation flight technology using two fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicles. To measuring relative position and attitude of a leader aircraft, a monocular camera installed in the front of the follower aircraft captures an image of the leader, and position and attitude are measured from the image using the KLT feature point tracker and POSIT algorithm. To verify the feasibility of this vision processing algorithm, a field test was performed using two light sports aircraft, and our experimental results show that the proposed monocular vision-based measurement algorithm is feasible. Performance verification for the proposed formation flight technology was carried out using the X-Plane flight simulator. The formation flight simulation system consists of two PCs playing the role of leader and follower. When the leader flies by the command of user, the follower aircraft tracks the leader by designed guidance and a PI control law, and all the information about leader was measured using monocular vision. This simulation shows that guidance using relative attitude information tracks the leader aircraft better than not using attitude information. This simulation shows absolute average errors for the relative position as follows: X-axis: 2.88 m, Y-axis: 2.09 m, and Z-axis: 0.44 m.
Purpose - This study presents the relationships between parent brand-self image congruence, parent brand -functional congruity, perceived fit between parent brand and extension product, and consumer's attitude toward extension product using the structural equation model. As for preceding concepts having a direct effect on consumer's attitude toward brand extension, the study focuses on parent brand-self image congruence and parent brand-functional congruity. It also looks at the effect of parent brand-self image congruence and parent brand-functional congruity on the consumer's attitude toward extension product and identifies if the perceived fit between parent brand and extension product is a concept playing a mediating role between parent brand-self image congruence or parent brand-functional congruity and consumer's attitude toward brand extension product. Research design, data, and Methodology - SPSS for Windows 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used for data analysis. Then, the Cronbach's α coefficient was obtained using SPSS for Windows 18.0 to measure reliability. In addition, the convergence and discriminative measures of the measured items were statistically verified using AMOS 18.0. Finally, we have validated a path model and a parameter model in which brand personality-self-matched attitude toward brand extension. Results - Studies have shown that the impact of parent brand-self image consistency and parent brand-functional consistency on the attitude of extended products was positive. Perceived fit between parent brand and extension products has been shown to play a role of intermediary between parent brand-self image congruence and consumer attitudes to extended products. However, perceived fit between parent brand and extension products did not play a role as intermediary between the parent brand-functional congruity and the attitude toward the extended product. Finally, in relation to the causal relationship between parent brand-congruity (self image/functionality) and attitudes to extended products. The effect of parent brand-functional coherency on attitudes toward extended products was found to be greater in groups with higher involvement than in those with lower involvement. Conclusions - Although few studies have been done on what variables mediated when parent brand-self image consistency and parent brand-functional coherency affect consumer attitude, this paper is significant in finding whether perceived fitness between the parent brand-congruity and the extension product is mediated.
