중소·중견기업을 위한 사용자 친화형 웹 기반 ezSIM 플랫폼 개발 (User-friendly Web-based ezSIM Platform Development for SMBs)

  • Structure and/or fluid analysis is gradually increased by an essential design process in the small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) because of the needs for a rapid design process and the certification about the supplement of the parts by the large business (LB). In this paper, we developed the web-based ezSIM platform installed in the resources integrated system server. The ezSIM platform is based on the heterogeneous linux and windows operating system for the user-friendly connection with the part of the analysis for the SMBs. The procedure of the structure/fluid analysis service module using the public software and the license-free open code in the ezSIM platform was explained. The convenience of the ezSIM platform service was presented by the reaction rate of the graphic motion compared with that of a local PC and the solving and pre-post processing interface compared with that of the KISTI supercomputer. The web-based ezSIM platform service was identified as a useful and essential platform to the SMBs for the usage of the structure and/or fluid analysis procedure.

  • In this paper, the automatic system generation algorithm based on the element combination algorithm discussed in the first part of this paper for designing an arbitrary type of the automatic transmissions is proposed. The powertrain design software using these algorithms is developed. This automotive powertrain design software with user-friendly graphic user interface has two main modules. The first module, the automatic power flow generation module, is already discussed in the previous paper. The second module dealing with the automatic system generation algorithm is discussed in this paper. The power-flow simulation software fur the arbitrary type of powertrain is then developed. The simulation and experimental results of the vehicle equipped with two planetary gear type automatic transmission are compared to validate the proposed algorithms and developed software. The simulation results demonstrate the good agreement with the experimental results.

  • Today, effective utilization of sophisticated networks greatly influences the activities of a business, making performance evaluations of computer network systems a necessity, We have developed a special computer network simulator capable of automatically generating a model based on data accumulated by a network analyzer to guide the user in selecting ideal parameters. The simulator was developed to provide user-friendly analysis for engineers involved in the actual network design. This paper gives an overview of the simulator and describes an example application of evaluating a network design that anticipates the future increase in traffic for a company introducing voice over frame relay (VoFR) into a wide area network (WAW).

  • Industrial ventilation is one of crucial engineering measures to protect workers from hazardous airborne contaminants. Designing a ventilation system is not an easy task. To solve this problem, U.S. computer programs and softwares have been developed. In Korea, a software, called as VPMC(Velocity Pressure Method Calculation), was developed by Korean Industrial Safety Corporation. Since VPMC is a DOS-based software, it could not be a user-friendly one. In this study, a Windows-based software was thus developed to overcome the difficulty in using a software for designing the ventilation system. As far as we know, this kind of Windows-based software is the first in the world. But this software should be kept being revised. The future work would include introduction of GUI(Graphic User Interface) and enhancement of editing functions by using Data-Base programs.

  • 본 논문은 소프트웨어-인간공학적 원칙 (Software-Ergonomic principles)이 어떻게 사용자 우호적 HCI(Human-Computer Interaction) 디자인에 있어서 효율적으로 기여할 수 있는가를 보여준다. 다양한 실증적 연구를 통하여 우리는 하나의 이론적 모델(WOB-Model)을 만들었으며, 이 모델은 다수의 시스템 개발에 적용되어 그 가치가 인정되었다. 본 모델에 기초하여 디자인 된 시스템을 가지고 행한 사용자테스트는 소프트웨어시스템에서 일반적으로 자주 나타나는 사용상의 문제점이 없어 질 수 있음을 보여주었다.

플래시 컴포넌트와 서비스 API를 이용한 X-인터넷 개발 프레임워크 설계 (A Design of X-internet Development Framework by Using Flash Component and Service API)

  • In this paper, we designed a new type of X-internet framework by using Flash component and server service API and analyzed its performance. Proposed X-internet framework uses Flash MX Professional 2004, Java, and software which opened middleware and database. Since proposed framework use the server service API that we developed in this paper and Flash player, this framework does not need server module. Proposed framework enables to obtain design with dynamic user interface compare to Web application and enables to reduce development time. In analytical results, it has been shown that proposed x-internet framework have efficient characteristics such as network traffic, low development cost and dynamic user interface implementation. Since proposed X-internet framework can operate in environment of current developer friendly, it is useful for development of various new application programs and we confirm it through Flash web mail implementation by using proposed x-internet framework.

  • We present the user-friendly graphical user interface design and implementation of Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) for computing option price of the four-underlying asset step-down equity linked securities (ELS) using the Android platform. The ELS has been one of the most important and influential financial products in South Korea. Most ELS products are based on one-, two-, and three-underlying assets. However, currently there is a demand for higher coupon payment from ELS products because of the increased interest rate in financial market. In order to allow the investors to have higher coupon payment, it is necessary to design a multi-asset ELS such as four-asset step-down ELS. We conduct the computational experiments to demonstrate the performance of the Android platform for pricing four-asset step-down ELS. Furthermore, we perform a comparison test with a three-asset step-down ELS.

  • The SK Chemical R&D center is an eco-friendly building designed as top score in the GBCC(GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATE CRITERIA). This building has applied various eco-friendly technologies such as energy /water resource cutdown, improvement of indoor quality and improvement of user convenience, etc through eco-friendly concept from the design phase. In this thesis, an economic efficiency evaluation has been performed on building energy cwater resource cutdown technologies among them and the results are as follows. The building energy has cut down about 40% compared to ordinary buildings and the investment recovery period was shown as about 5 years. The water resource has cut down about 63% compared to ordinary buildings and the investment recovery period was shown as about 10 years.

영상세대를 위한 DVD 플레이어 디자인 개발 (Development of DVD Player Design for the Film Generation)

  • 디지털시대와 영상시대가 도래하면서 DVD 시장의 성장에 힘입어 DVD 플레이어 시장 또한 지속적으로 성장하고 있으며 이의 보급 또한 지속적으로 확대되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 영상시대의 주된 소비자라고 할 수 있는 신세대의 니즈를 충족시킬 수 있는 차별화 된 형태의 DVD 플레이어를 디자인하여 제시하였다. 기존의 획일적인 형태의 DVD 플레이어 디자인을 벗어나서 개성이 뚜렷하고 차별화 된 디자인의 DVD 플레이어 형태를 제안하였고, 사용편의성을 극대화하여 사용자 중심 디자인을 제시하였다. 단순하고 직관적인 디자인으로 사용자가 시스템에 대해 쉽게 배우고 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 제품의 내부와 외부 그리고 하드웨어와 소프트웨어사이에 일관된 연계를 가지도록 해서 사용자가 별도의 학습과정 없이 쉽게 적응할 수 있도록 디자인하였다. 영상세대를 위한 필수적인 제품이라고 할 수 있는 DVD 플레이어 디자인 진행 시 고려해야 하는 여러 가지 항목들을 이해함으로써 향후 영상관련 제품의 디자인 작업에 대한 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

  • 오늘날 컴퓨터의 사용이 일반화되어 인터넷을 이용한 정보의 교환 시스템이 보편화되면서 필요한 정보를 신속하게 이용하고 공유할 수 있는 데이터 베이스 환경을 구축하는 일은 디자인 분야에서도 신속히 추진해야 할 과제 중의 하나로 떠오르게 되었다. 이러한 디자인 데이터 베이스(DB)의 체계적 구축은 디자인 정보화 산업의 추진과 더 나아가 지식기반 산업으로서의 디자인 분야 발전의 토대가 된다. 이러한 체계적 구축은 디자인 분야 발전의 토대가 된다. 이러한 체계적이고 표준화된 디자인 DB의 구축을 위하여 선행되어 져야 할 것이 사용자들이 쉽게 접근하고 이용할 수 있는, 사용자 중심의 보편화된 분류체계를 수립하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 분류체계에 대한 연구를 통하여 사용자 중심의 표준화된 분류체계의 구축과 이러한 분류체계가 오늘날의 기술환경에 적용되어 실행될 수 잇는 가능성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.
