Comparative Analysis of AI Painting Using [Midjourney] and [Stable Diffusion] - A Case Study on Character Drawing -

  • The widespread discussion of AI-generated content, fueled by the emergence of consumer applications like ChatGPT and Midjourney, has attracted significant attention. Among various AI applications, AI painting has gained popularity due to its mature technology, user-friendly nature, and excellent output quality, resulting in a rapid growth in user numbers. Midjourney and Stable Diffusion are two of the most widely used AI painting tools by users. In this study, the author adopts a perspective that represents the general public and utilizes case studies and comparative analysis to summarize the distinctive features and differences between Midjourney and Stable Diffusion in the context of AI character illustration. The aim is to provide informative material forthose interested in AI painting and lay a solid foundation for further in-depth research on AI-generated content. The research findings indicate that both software can generate excellent character images but with distinct features.

생태학습장 이용객의 지각된 성과에 의한 만족도 연구 (A Study on User Satisfaction by Perceived Performance of Ecological Learning Center)

  • An ecological learning center is defined as a place which can establish the correct relationship between human and environment. Human can learn ecosystem and importance of environment throughout observation of nature and participation in program of ecological learning center. The most important aspects of ecological learning center planning are to reflect on user's demand and preservation of ecosystem. The prime goals of this study is to analyze user's characteristics in the Young Wheol Mulmurigol Ecological Learning Center. The second goal of this study is to find out the satisfaction model based on user's perceived performance of each program and facility in the center. For this study, questionnaire survey with 204 individuals was completed. The data from the questionnaire were analyzed statistical method by SPSS. There are several significant results from the study as following First, this ecological learning center as a newly operating facility is used not for educational purpose but for resting and relaxation purpose. It is due to that the most of users in this center are package tourists with historic scenes. Second, user's perceived performance evaluated by 23 attributions of programs and facilities, and these attributions could be classified by 5 factors such as environment friendly design, educational function, preservation of environment, provision of various bio-top and provision of resting area. Third, the user satisfaction model indicates that user satisfaction is depended on various factors such as preservation of environment, provision of various bio-top, provision of resting area. Among these factor affecting the satisfaction, provision of various bio-top is the most influence on user satisfaction.

  • 유니세프(UNICEF)의 아동친화도시 조성사업(Child Friendly Cities Initiative, CFCI)이 특정 지방자치단체의 특수정책에서 지방자치단체의 보편적 정책으로 전환되는 현 시점에서 도시의 대표적인 공공공간인 도시공원의 아동친화환경에 관한 전반적인 진단과 점검이 필요하다. 그러나 대부분의 공원 관련 아동친화환경 사업은 어린이에 집중되어 있고, 현재 공원의 아동친화성을 평가할 수 있는 기준도 구축되어 있지 않다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 본 연구는 18세 미만의 아동과 지역주민이 모두 이용하는 근린공원을 대상으로 연구자 현장조사, 이용자 설문조사, 청소년참여 워크숍의 방법을 통해 아동친화환경을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 파악한 아동친화도시 근린공원의 문제점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 불분명한 아동의 개념과 정의로 인해 정책의 집행과 그 수혜의 대상이 일관되게 실행되지 않고 있다. 둘째, 근린공원은 아동을 위한 공공공간으로 인지되거나 활용되지 못하고 있다. 셋째, 근린공원에서는 청소년에 대한 고려가 매우 부족하다. 넷째, 공원 내 시설뿐만 아니라, 접근성과 공원 주변의 아동친화성이 미흡하다. 이러한 측면을 고려하여 추후 공원 관련 정책 개발에 있어 청소년을 포함한 소외 연령층에 대한 고려를 구체화한다면 아동친화도시 공공공간의 아동친화성 향상과 아동의 보편적인 권리 향상에 이바지할 수 있을 것이다.

  • In Ubiquitous era. architecture is not the old building adapting ubiquitous technology. In order to take the role as new architectural paradigm in space, environment and technology, it has to develop technology continuously and experimental architecture at the same time. it must have co-evolution of architectural field and others through organic network. by that, the evolution of space will be in the way that combines space which is responded to human emotion and user-centric human-friendly. It will be the new paradigm of Ubiquitous digital space. Digital technology resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of thinking. Due to those changes, new terms or concepts come out and a new meaning is added to the conventional concepts. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for interaction design experience. This study is performed through Literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for construction elements to design. The range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type, First, Interactive space has special purpose for make a interaction by intelligent elements.(sensor, program, algorithm, New-technology) Second, Interactive space was cooperation with various professional for space purpose. Third. Interactive space is self-develop by algorithm, program, sensor network and that is harmonize with user. finally. Interaction space is show the temper elements about allness, metastatic, activeness, liquidity, relationship. That was written by ecological theory.

PID 제어기의 주파수응답 기반 다목적 설계도구 (Frequency Response Based Multi-Objective Design Toolbox for PID Controller)

  • Recently, a direct data-driven synthesis of a proportional integral derivative(PID) controller for a linear time-invariant(LTI) plant was presented in [1]. The authors showed that a complete set of PID controllers achieving robust performance and stability can be calculated directly from frequency response(FR) data without an identified transfer function model. However, it is not convenient to use this method because it requires complicated numerical algorithms to find specific frequencies which are solutions of an identical equation. The method also requires determination of the boundary of the controller's parameters from a finite set of FR data. In this paper, we present the development of a user-friendly Matlab toolbox based on the method in [1]. This toolbox allows us to obtain a complete three-dimensional(3-D) graphical solution of PID controllers that meet multiple design objectives. Several examples are given to demonstrate the use of the toolbox.

  • The rapid diffusion of the Internet and the World Wide Web is facilitating greater interaction - and potential opportunities for customization - between vendors and customers. For instance, virtual reality and multimedia technologies allow consumers to envision their designed products. The increasing pace of the business environment highlights the need to deploy intelligent systems in all stages of product design and production planning. This paper deals with a system to generate an appropriate product design by adapting customer preferences and constraints using the case based reasoning methodology. Moreover, intelligent agents are integrated with virtual reality technology to provide a friendly user interface.

주름판의 강성 및 진동수 해석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Rigidity and Frequency Analysis Program for Corrugated Plates)

  • A program is developed to analyze and design the frequency and rigidity of the corrugated plates with various corrugation shapes (the considered corrugation shapes are triangular and trapezoidal) and 36 kinds of boundary conditions using smeared theory. The system is consisted of input, solution and output routines, and its routine is made up pull-down menu type and run in Window basis using Visual Basic Language. The input routine helps the design engineers to make the input data user-friendly. The solution routine uses the homemade solver. In the output routine, automatic designs can be done using AutoCAD and Intent Tool package by interfacing the input data.

  • A design of Advisory Tutoring Agent(ATA) is proposed to help a student on the basis of a student-oriented discovery learning, The agents adaptively build a student model and interact with a student as well as each other to give a piece of advice at a proper time. The appropriateness of advice depends on the agents' reasoning sod interaction performed based on the student model. domain knowledge, teaching strategy, and user-friendly interface. The design has been applied to a simple English learning environment.

  • Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) is an optimization technique considering simultaneously multiple disciplines such as dynamics, mechanics, structural analysis, thermal and fluid analysis and electromagnetic analysis. A software system enabling multidisciplinary design optimization is called MDO framework. An MDO framework provides an integrated and automated design environment that increases product quality and reliability, and decreases design cycle time and cost. The MDO framework also works as a common collaborative workspace for design experts on multiple disciplines. In this paper, we present the architecture for an MDO framework along with the requirement analysis for the framework. The requirement analysis has been performed through interviews of design experts in industry and thus we claim that it reflects the real needs in industry. The requirements include integrated design environment, friendly user interface, highly extensible open architecture, distributed design environment, application program interface, and efficient data management to handle massive design data. The resultant MDO framework is datasever-oriented and designed around a centralized data server for extensible and effective data exchange in a distributed design environment among multiple design tools and software.

  • A design for the front section of an excavator requires kinematic and kinetic mechanism consideration for several configurations. Key parameters for an appropriate configuration can be obtained through a mechanical verification and numerical formulation with a design expert's know-how. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based system with an expert-shell(CATIA) and Visual Basic to assist for the design of the front section of an excavator. The designers can achieve more efficient design through a CAD model, implemented design knowledge, and a user friendly interface. The implemented design knowledge is retrieved through the whole design process from an early design stage to a detailed design stage based on the multiple levels of abstraction scheme.
