In nuclear power plants, nondestructive examinations(NDE) plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and reliability operation. As the number of plants and operational time increased, manual handling of voluminous data associated with PSI/ISI(preservice/inservice inspection) could result in many errors or mistakes in writing the examination plan or other reports. Several new approaches to process the data have been attempted and DBMS(Data Base Management System) has been well known concept with a faster and more accurate data processing. This paper proposes an application program, called NDTSYS designed with DBMS in micro computer. The program could be used for a tool to add new records to a data base, change existing records, delete records and request reports with the data base. It would be helpful to the user who manage the PSI/ISI data with minimal time and effort.

In this work, the digital simulator for testing of digital protective relay is presented. The proposed simulator software has EMTP simulation data file conversion, sequence waveform generation, user define simulation data generation, communication engine, data analysis engine and measurements function etc. The simulator hardware is designed using 32bit floating point DSP architecture to achieve flexibility and high speed operation. This simulator is tested to evaluate the performance of relay simulator by using a output data of simulation model on EMTP.

This study aims to evaluate smartphone gaming controllers. Diffusion of smartphone makes its users to play smartphone games in ease and comfort and its built-in sensors deliver new gaming experience to the users. Based on the concept how the controller system is important, the current research also implies the importance of customizing service which gives users a selection to deploy a controller. To explore the interaction effect of controllers and customizing on interactivity, flow, usability, attitude, and intention, the research constructs 3(gyroscope, wheel, and button controllers) by 2(default and customizing setting) experimental design and forty college students played Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne in a within subject design. The results showed that interaction effect and customizing main effect were not found, but controller main effect was statistically significant. Button controller is superior to those other two in more detail. It implies that it is still not useful to play new types of gaming controller, and a customizing service. It suggests that smartphone games should more focus on improving optimal user experience with built-in sensor controllers.

Cartridge filters are widely used in liquid-solid separation processes. To select a proper filter system for the requirements of a given application, a knowledge of filter efficiency and dirt capacity is required. The filter manufacturer needs to provide data which are based on test procedures simulating real parameters on a laboratory scale. There does not exist at present a standard for liquid filter testing (with the exception of the Multipass Test to ISO4752 for hydraulic filters). Users have to work with data based on different test procedures. This paper will discuss principles of filter testing, efficiency andd dirt capacity results as a function of test parameters, and data interpretion to provide a guideline for the end user.

The existence of Internet revolutionized the computer and communications world. With the rising demand for accessing the Internet, the mobile technology has incorporated the use of Internet in mobile phones. Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) has combined two of the widest utilized technology today: mobile phones and Internet. This study aims to assess the existing WAP pages offered by the top service providers in the Philippines through usability testing experiments. The paper also aims to identify existing problems in WAP interface by focusing on the errors committed by the users. From the usability study, it was found out that common usability problems are wrong selection of links, unclear grouping of categories, wrong feedback, and redundant links. The type of service provider used is significant in determining the performance of users while experience in accessing WAP is insignificant.

컴퓨터 분야에서 에이전트의 개념은 전자 상거래, 정보 검색과 같은 많은 어플리케이션들에 응용되어 중요 시 되고 있다. 하지만, 아직까지 지능성을 가진 테스트 도구는 없었다. 이 논문에서 제안하는 테스트 에이전트 시스템은 에이전트의 특성을 가지고 테스터를 도와주는 테스트 도구이다. 테스트 에이전트 시스템은 객체지향 테스트 프로세스를 따라 테스터의 일을 대행해 주고, 테스터의 간섭을 최소화 시켜 준다. 이 시스템은 자동 생성된 많은 양의 테스트케이스에서 중복이 없고 일관성 있는 테스트케이스를 지능적으로 선택하여 테스트 시간을 단축시켜 준다. 테스트 에이전트 시스템은 3개의 에이전트 User Interface Agent, Test Case Selection & Testing Agent, Regression Test Agent로 구성된다. 특히 Test Case Selection & Testing Agent은 RE-Rule과 CTS-Rule을 통하여 중복이 없고 일관성 있는 테스트케이스를 지능적으로 선택하며, Regression Test Agent는 RRTIS-Rule을 통해 리그래션 테스트 항목을 지능적으로 선택한다.

Less than 30 years ago a new method was introduced in wind-tunnel testing of tall buildings, known variously as the High-Frequency Base Balance or High-Frequency Force Balance, which revolutionized the determination of design wind loads using model studies. The method is reviewed in hindsight, in the perspective of the present, and with a crystal ball to speculate on future developments. These viewpoints focus on various technical issues that have been solved, are being solved, and need to be solved. The intent is to assist the uninitiated develop appreciation for the technology involved, to identify various pitfalls awaiting those who embark in the method, and to identify areas of need so that practicing design engineers-the users of such studies-can appreciate the limitations and collaborate on future advances while promoting improved communication between executor and user.
