  • Recently in the IoT(Internet of Things) environment, a data collection in real-time through device's sensor has increased with an emergence of various devices. Collected data from IoT environment shows a large scale, non-uniform generation cycle and atypical. For this reason, the distributed processing technique is required to analyze the IoT sensor data. However if you do not consider the optimal scheduling for data and the processor of IoT in a distributed processing environment complexity increase the amount in assigning a task, the user is difficult to guarantee the QoS(Quality of Service) for the sensor data. In this paper, we propose APQTA(Adaptive Priority Queue-driven Task Allocation method for sensor data processing) to efficiently process the sensor data generated by the IoT environment. APQTA is to separate the data into job and by applying the priority allocation scheduling based on the deadline to ensure that guarantee the QoS at the same time increasing the efficiency of the data processing.

  • 본 논문에서는, 다중 안테나 다중 사용자가 존재하는 3-cell 간섭 Broadcast 채널 (IFBC: interference broadcast channel) 에서 얻을 수 있는 공간 다중화 이득 (spatial multiplexing gain)에 대해서 소개한다. 이러한 공간 다중화 이득을 최대화하면서 총 수율을 높이기 위하여, 우리는 간섭 정렬 기법 (IA: interference alignment)에 스케쥴링 기법을 더한 방법을 제안하며, 이는 IFBC 환경에서 TDMA 기법보다 높은 수율 성능을 보인다. 최적의 스케쥴링 방법은 다중 사용자 이득을 이용하여 총 수율을 최대화하는 전수 조사 알고리즘을 이용한다. 또한, 전수 조사의 계산 복잡도가 매우 높기 때문에, 이를 효과적으로 줄이는 coordinated ascent 방법을 이용한 부최적 스케쥴링 방법도 제안 한다.

조선 선체 생산설계 일정 계획을 위한 상세 이산사건 모델링기반 비즈니스 프로세스 시뮬레이션 (High-level Discrete-event Modeling-based Business Process Simulation for the Scheduling of the Ship Hull Production Design)

  • For the scheduling and the job assignment of the ship hull production design which is a process-based work, we suggest the simulation-based scheduling using the discrete-event-based business process simulation. First, we analyze the ship hull production design process from the perspective of a job assignment to make it into the simulation model using DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) which is the representative modeling method for a discrete-event simulation. Based on the APIs of the open-source discrete-event simulation engine, we implement the simulation using the Groovy script. We develop the scenario generator in which the user defines detail information of the construction drawing and its member blocks, and design engineers information, and the various setting for the simulation including the job assignment strategy. We use the XML files from this scenario generator as inputs of simulation so that we can get simulation result in forms of Gantt chart without changes of the simulation model.

계층적분석기법을 이용한 APS 개선방안 도출 (An Improvement On The Advanced Planning and Scheduling U sing The Analytical Hierarchy Process)

  • The advanced planning and scheduling(APS) is an well known enterprise information system that provides optimal production schedules and supports to complete production on time by solving the complex scheduling problems including capacity and due dates. In this paper, we focused on the improvement of the APS that is already established on a real company. The existing APS had several drawbacks, thus utilization and satisfaction were very low. We performed the focused group interviews and the process analysis and could find that the end users and developers have various objectives and the frequently used functions are different. We applied the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) to converge opinions of them on quantitative data. The results show that it is necessary to enhance visibility, to improve user interfaces and response speed, and to reconcile the real business process and the APS's process.

협력적 다중 선박 네트워크에서 유틸리티 함수 기반의 스케줄링 기법 (Utility Function-Based Scheduling in a Multi-Ship Network with Coordinated Multi-Point Transmission)

  • 본 논문은 다운링크 다중 선박 네트워크에서 동적으로 협력 전송(CoMP Transmission; Coordinated Multi-point Transmission)을 사용하는 유틸리티 함수를 도출하고 이를 기반으로 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 스케줄링 기법은 수율과 공정성을 고려한 PF 형태의 유틸리티 함수를 최대화하기 위해서 매 프레임 협력적 전송 여부를 결정하고, 유틸리티 함수를 최대화하는 사용자를 선택한다. 특히 제안하는 유틸리티 함수 기반의 스케줄링 기법은 셀 경계 지역에 위치하는 사용자의 서비스 품질을 만족시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 무선 환경에서 PF(Proportional Fair) 스케줄링을 사용할 때 제안한 유틸리티 함수를 기반으로 하는 스케줄링 기법의 성능을 평가한다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안하는 스케줄링 기법은 협력적 통신 네트워크와 비협력적 통신 네트워크를 동적으로 사용함으로써 전체 네트워크의 성능을 유지하면서 가장자리에 있는 선박의 성능을 향상시키는 것을 확인하였다.

다중사용자 다중입출력 시스템을 위한 채널품질 되돌림의 정보량 감쇄 기법 (Feedback Reduction of Channel Quality Information for Multiuser MIMO Systems)

  • 다중사용자 다중입출력 시스템에서 채널 적응 기술을 사용하면 시스템의 통신용량을 증가시킬 수 있다. 하지만 이를 위해서는 많은 양의 사용자 채널품질 정보가 송신 단에 되돌림 되어야 한다. 다중사용자 다중입출력 시스템으로 기존에 제안된 per user unitary and rate control(PU2RC)는 사전코딩(preceding) 정보와 그때의 채널품질정보가 요구되며, 스케줄링의 효율이 떨어지는 단점이 있었다. 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 되돌림 정보량 줄이는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 미리 알려진 사전코딩행렬을 사용하고 사용자의 채널상황에 따라 선택적 되돌림(opportunistic feedback) 방법을 사용한다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법이 기존의 PU2RC 대비 훨씬 적은양의 되돌림 정보량으로 비슷한 통신용량 성능을 보장함을 보인다.

사용자 응답성 향상을 위한 멀티큐 블록계층 개선 (Improvement of Multi-Queue Block Layer for Fast User Response)

  • Multi-queue I/O block layer has been recently employed in Linux kernel to support fast storage devices such as NVMe SSDs, but it lacks differentiated I/O services yet. In this paper, we propose an I/O scheduling scheme that can improve the user responsiveness of foreground processes, which are closely related to user satisfaction. To this end, we redesign the existing multi-queue block layer to classify the I/O requests from foreground processes and schedule them by exploiting the feature of NVMe interface. Experimental results show that latency and launch time of the foreground processes have been significantly improved compared to original Linux kernel.

스마트 TV 환경을 위한 4D 미디어 방송 서비스 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the 4D-Media Broadcasting Service System in a Smart TV Environment)

  • Recently, as the development of 3D contents service, production of 4D media that user can feel physical effects by the scene of movie has been increased. This 4D media uses the SMMD (Single Media Multiple Devices) method to give users enhanced effects with multiple devices playing rather than the SMSD (Single Media Single Device) method with single device playing in a smart TV environment. To give more sensible effects to users, from the beginning of making one media, we produced 4D media that consists of 3D contents and the SEM (Sensory Effect Metadata) to define effects of the scene. 4D media is transmitted to a HS (Home Server) to represent 3D contents in 3DTV and multiple devices with synchronized way. In this paper, we suggested the concept and overall 4D media broadcasting service system architecture, aggregator time acquisition, media time scheduling, real-sense device scheduling, evaluation results, user interfaces and implemented devices.

고객지원 센터의 최적 인력 일정계획 수립 모델 개발에 대한 사례연구 (Case Study : Development of Customer Support Center Staffing Model)

  • Staff scheduling is an important area, both from an academic and industrial point of view. It has become increasingly important as business becomes more service oriented and cost conscious in a global environment. There has been a lot of study to develop new and efficient staff scheduling models and methods. The purpose of this paper is not to develop new theoretical results but to develop a comprehensive user-friendly staffing model that can be applied to the real-world practice. The developed staffing software, OptStaff, provides the optimal configuration of the customer support center including the selection of customer support center locations, the allocation of staffs to each selected location, and schedules of staffs, so as to minimize the total cost while maximizing the customer satisfaction level. OptStaff also has capability to do scenario analysis by varying the levels of parameters and to create a variety of graphs and reports with user-friendly interfaces.

RSA - QoS: A Resource Loss Aware Scheduling Algorithm for Enhancing the Quality of Service in Mobile Networks

  • Adaptive Multi-Rate Codec is one of the codecs which is used for making voice calls. It helps to connect people who are scattered in various geographical areas. It adjusts its bit-rate according to the user's channel conditions. It plays a vital role in providing an improved speech quality of voice connection in Long Term Evolution (LTE). There are some constraints which need to be addressed in providing this service profitably. Quality of Service (QoS) is the dominant mechanism which determines the quality of the speech in communication. On several occasions, number of users are trying to access the same channel simultaneously by standing in a particular region for a longer period of time. It refers to Multi-user channel sharing problem which leads to resource loss very often. The main aim of this paper is to develop a novel RSA - QoS scheduling algorithm for reducing the Resource Loss Ratio. Eventually, it increases the throughput.The simulation result shows that the RSA - QoS increases the number of users for accessing the resources better than the existing algorithms in terms of resource loss and throughput. Ultimately, it enhances the QoS in Mobile Networks.
