As the performance of mobile devices has dramatically improved, users can perform many tasks in a mobile environment. This means that the use of behavior information stored in the mobile device can tell a lot of users. For example, a user's text message and frequently used application information (behavioral information) can be utilized to create useful information, such as whether the user is interested in parenting(profile prediction). In this study, I investigate the behavior information of the user that can be collected in the mobile device and propose the item that can profile the user. And I also suggest ideas about how to utilize profiling information.

While a user is using an adaptive hypermedia system, the user can also use an external application. If the user accesses the information which is related to the contents provided by the adaptive hypermedia system, it can affect a user profile that contains the information about the knowledge or interests of the user. However, the adaptive hypermedia system understands user's behavior based on whether a page is accessed or not and it is difficult for the system to recognize user's behavior that can occur outside the adaptive hypermedia system. In this paper, we propose an approach that can detect user's behavior using a message hooking mechanism so that both user's behavior inside an adaptive hypermedia system and behaviors that occur outside the system can be reflected in a user profile. We analyze user events using a hooking mechanism and update a user profile using an XML parser.

Due to the uncertainty of intention recognition for behaviors of users, the intention is differently recognized according to the situation for the same behavior by the same user, the accuracy of user intention recognition by minimizing the uncertainty is able to be improved. This paper suggests a novel ontology-based method to recognize user intentions, and able to minimize the uncertainties that are the obstacles against the precise recognition of user intention. This approach creates ontology for user intention, makes a hierarchy and relationship among user intentions by using RuleML as well as Dynamic Bayesian Network, and improves the accuracy of user intention recognition by using the defined RuleML as well as the gathered sensor data such as temperature, humidity, vision, and auditory. To evaluate the performance of robot proactive planning mechanism, we developed a simulator, carried out some experiments to measure the accuracy of user intention recognition for all possible situations, and analyzed and detailed described the results. The result of our experiments represented relatively high level the accuracy of user intention recognition. On the other hand, the result of experiments tells us the fact that the actions including the uncertainty get in the way the precise user intention recognition.

User needs in residential environment have very complicated and variety connection with others. u-home system for the near future is need to be combined acceptance of exist user needs as well as needs on new technology relating with u-Home. The study proposes a User Behavior Analysis Framework - UBAF for applying the user needs to the system more efficiently and developing the system by classifying patterns for the needs based on date of user behavior analysis. UBAF is a developing framework getting the basic idea of combining system modeling methods on SE and user modeling methods considering on HCI. It will be applicable to develop the system with core user behaviors by applying a standard way on u-Home. For example, the study transforms information into knowledge the system modeling and user modeling with analyzing a scenario for indoor temperature controlling on u-Home.
Social viewing has become an increasingly common viewing pattern by combining SNS use with video-watching. Accordingly, social viewing has attracted much scholarly attention, but a more comprehensive understanding of the process and effects of social viewing is warranted. For this, this study incorporated social viewing motivations, viewer satisfaction, and the continuous use intention, taking the viewer's communicative behavior into account as a possible moderator. This study conducted an online survey (N=334). Among four motivations, enjoyment, sharing and expression were significant predictors of program and communication satisfaction. Information, however, was only associated with program satisfaction but not with communication satisfaction. The moderating effects of three communication behaviors, production, sharing, and reception, were discussed in the relationship between user motivations and viewing satisfaction and continuous use intention. Production behaviors played a significant moderating role in between enjoyment, information, sharing, and communication satisfaction. Sharing moderatied information, sharing, and program satisfaction, whereas reception was not a significant moderator.

Using grounded theory, this study investigated users' information seeking behaviors associated with their perceptions of uncertainty. Based on a theoretical sampling, 17 doctoral students in the field of business management were recruited. Data was collected through the methods of questionnaire, interviewing, and think-aloud descriptions. The results identified user perceptions of uncertainty in the following stages: identification of information needs, selection of information systems, selection of search terms, actual use of systems, and evaluation of search results. In addition, positive aspects of uncertainties were presented. Major implications relate to information system and service improvements.

An efficient aerodynamic thermal load element is developed to reflect the effect of coupled aero-thermo-elastic behaviors in the early design stage of hypersonic vehicle. To this aim, semi-analytic relationships depending on structural deformation are adopted for pressure and thermal load, and the element is formulated based on the relations. The proposed element is implemented in the form of ABAQUS user subroutine, and coupled finite element analysis is carried out to investigate the aero-thermo-elastic behaviors of control surface of hypersonic vehicle. Through the analysis, usefulness of the proposed aerodynamic thermal load element is identified.
The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between Juvenile alcohol use and their criminal patterns. The data were collected through questionnaire surveys. Subjects serving for this study were 971 delinquent adolescents in Korea, sampled from 6 juvenile corrective institutions and 2 classification judging institutions, using a census method. Their age range was between 12 and 21. Data were analysed by IBM PC using SAS program. Statistical methods employed were Chi-square and frequency analysis. 1. Of 877 respondents, the number of adolescents committed criminal behaviors while the intoxicated were 230(26.2%), and 647(73.8%) were in a non-intoxicated state. 2. Adolescent under intoxication showed a higher rate of aggressive crimes and assault crimes, whereas adolescents under the non-influence of liquor tended to commit property climes and violations of criminal special law Drunken state adolescents during committing criminal behaviors used knifes, stones or fist-kicking as criminal tools, whereas drug use or without weapons in non drunken state. Most crimes have happened without any tools in both group. 3. In comparison of the alcohol user and the non-user, most alcohol-related crimes among adolescents were committed at AM 0:00 to AM 4:00 during the weekend in the dark, cloudy, and stormy-rainy day, while non-alcohol related crimes were at afternoon of weekday in the clear day. The places that the criminal activities occurred were streets, amusement places such as disco-theque, fields and their own house among alcohol users, whereas victim's house, another person's house and restaurant were chosen among non-alcohol users. 4. The victims assaulted by Juvenile offenders in both drunken and non-drunken state were mostly passer-by(65.4%), followed by their friends(25.1%). And the conditions of victims showed a significant differences between the drunken adolescents and the non-drunken adolescents. The victim's conditions assaulted by intoxicated delinquent adolescents were in quarreling or drunken state, whereas non-alcohol related crimes were directed against victims in a sleeping or irresistible state. 5. Almost over the half of delinquent adolescents perceived their delinquency as wrong behaviors. and alcohol non-user tended to more significantly perceive their criminal acts as wrong conducts. About the half of respondents answered that they committed their criminal acts in spite of having a very good Judgement while doing crimes, the author did not found a significant difference between the two groups. The reasons given for crimes were manifested as follows: it can be seen that ‘to get money for amusements’(30.4 % of all motives) were most common, followed by ‘to commit accidentally the offences’(23.8%), ‘curiosity or heroism’(18.9%). alcohol related crimes tended to be accidental and impulsively without any clear planning, while non-alcohol related crimes tended to be purposeful, directed to make money motivated by curiosity or a desire to live heroically. In Conclusions. the correlation between alcohol use and Juvenile criminal behaviors has been examined in this study. Generally, alcohol use had been found to be highly correlated with aggressive assault crimes including robbery, burglary and rape etc.
Many JavaScript programs are event-driven in the sense that they heavily use event functions that take user inputs to manipulate program behaviors. Thus, in order to statically analyze event-driven JavaScript programs effectively and precisely, static analyzers should be able to understand and precisely analyze the behaviors of events in terms of how they are created and evaluated. In this paper, we describe several reasons why static analysis of event behaviors in JavaScript programs is particularly difficult, and present a new event modeling mechanism that can represent behaviors of events precisely and efficiently for effective analysis of event-based JavaScript programs.
