Purpose The number of Tablet PC users has recently increased in steep, which started to offer media companies more opportunities to enter into a new business field. Based on Information System Success model, this study finds that tablet magazine's quality factors influence perceived usefulness, user satisfaction and intention of continuous use. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a survey for 20-40's Tablet PC users. After pilot study, we analyzed the main survey data by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0, and employed structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. Findings Our research results are summarized as follows : First, information quality has a positive impact on user satisfaction, but not on perceived usefulness. Second, service quality has a positive impact on perceived usefulness, but not on user satisfaction. Third, perceived usefulness positively influences user satisfaction. Fourth, user satisfaction positively influences the intention of continuous use. In particular we found that Tablet PC usage experience had a moderating effect on the relationship between perceived usefulness and user satisfaction.

The user interface (UI) is the part of the systems that users can see, hear and feel. That means, a user can interact with the systems through the user interface. Effective user interfaces create positive feelings of success and competence. In addition, they enable users to concentrate on their work, exploration, or pleasure. The German word "Gestalt" means "whole" as well as a figure or a shape. A comprehensive information systems (IS) literature review found that there has been little empirical evidence on the Gestalt principles in UIs that affect online users' perceived usability in a Web context. Therefore, the goals of this study are to 1) examine the relationships between Gestalt principles in UIs and online users' perceived usability in a Web context and 2) come up with design guidelines to enhance user success. Using a survey, this study explored the relationships between Gestalt principles used in six Web sites and 17 aspects of usability. The results showed that in terms of 16 aspects of usability, there are significant differences among the UIs that have different levels of Gestalt principles. In practice, online stores may use these findings to improve their Web pages. Specifically, the sixteen usability attributes can be used to check whether online stores' Web pages meet customers' user interface quality expectations.

Purpose One of the success factors of information system projects is to reduce requirements uncertainty through user engagement. So, in many recent IS development environment, a business analyst or business analysts are positioned between users and developers to drive user engagement to reduce requirements uncertainty. But, there are few studies that research about the competencies of business analysts for training and staffing. So, this study analyzed which underlying and practical competencies that positively influence user engagement are required. Design/methodology/approach The level of underlying and practical competencies required for business analysts and the level of user enagement in the IS development environment are collected through the survey. And, the causal relationship between the construct concepts which are underlying competencies, practical competencies and the user participation is analzed through the PLS analysis. Findings The results of this study show that the practial competencies of business analysts that positively have a significant impact on user engaement were studied as requirements development skills. Additionally, the underlying competencies of business analysts which have a significant impact on requirements development skills were examined as business knowledge and interaction skills rather than technical knowledge and communication skills.

Purpose Along with increasing use of mobile devices, the sharing economy platform services, which generate profits by sharing products owned or labor, have been activated. A representative example of the sharing economy platform service is Airbnb, which connects providers having idle residential space with users. The results revealed that the cases of superhosts and professional companies had a positive and negative effect on user satisfaction, respectively. Based on signaling theory, this study drew the following implications: residential space providers should make an effort to meet the superhost conditions suggested by Airbnb, and offering residential spaces by individual suppliers rather than professional accommodation companies can more heighten user satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach Because sharing behavior is promoted through trust between interested parties, this study aimed to verify the effects of provider characteristics on user satisfaction in a sharing economy platform service. Specifically, it analyzed user satisfaction, according to host attributes (i.e., "superhost or not," gender, and "professional company or not") among the characteristics of Airbnb suppliers. Findings The results revealed that the cases of superhosts and professional companies had a positive and negative effect on user satisfaction, respectively. Based on these analyses results, this study drew the following implications: residential space providers should make an effort to meet the superhost conditions suggested by Airbnb, and offering residential spaces by individual suppliers rather than professional accommodation companies can more heighten user satisfaction.

This paper classifies the success factors of collaboration system in the shipbuilding industry. We propose the structural model that identifies the relationship between the success factors and organizational performance. To test empirically the relationship between the factors, we developed the measurement of each factors. This paper has examined the relationship between the independent variables and the mediating variables, also has examined the relationship between the parameters and a final dependent variable. The independent variables are as follows, (1) quality of system including reliability, flexibility, and accessibility, (2) the quality of information including contents, expressiveness, and (3) the partner relationship including the information sharing and the compatibility of strategies. The mediating variables are user involvement, parter trust, and user satisfaction. The final dependent variable is business performance. The hypotheses test proved that the system quality significantly affect user satisfaction, the information quality positively influence on the user participation, and the information sharing and strategic fit of partner relationship positively affect partner trust. Also, the user participation and partner trust significantly affect user satisfaction. Finally, the user participation, user satisfaction, and partner trust have a decisive effect on the organizational performance. The results of hypothesis test verified that the quality of information and system, also partner relationship are important to operate successfully the collaboration system in the shipbuilding industry. Also, the mediating variables are important to explain the structural relationship between the independent variables and organizational performance.

Purpose The proliferation of data on the internet has created a need for innovative methods to analyze user satisfaction data. Traditional survey methods are becoming inadequate in dealing with the increasing volume and diversity of data, and new methods using unstructured internet data are being explored. While numerous comment-based user satisfaction studies have been conducted, only a few have explored user satisfaction through video and audio data. Multimodal sentiment analysis, which integrates multiple modalities, has gained attention due to its high accuracy and broad applicability. Design/methodology/approach This study uses multimodal sentiment analysis to analyze user satisfaction of iPhone and Samsung products through online videos. The research reveals that the combination model integrating multiple data sources showed the most superior performance. Findings The findings also indicate that price is a crucial factor influencing user satisfaction, and users tend to exhibit more positive emotions when content with a product's price. The study highlights the importance of considering multiple factors when evaluating user satisfaction and provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of different data sources for sentiment analysis of product reviews.

모바일 컴퓨팅 분야의 발전에 따라 휴대전화는 더욱 높은 정보처리 기능을 갖춘 스마트 폰(smart phone)으로 변화하고 있지만, 현재의 휴대성 및 사용 용이성을 유지하기 위해 제한된 입출력 기능을 가질 수밖에 없다. 이러한 제한 때문에 사용자 인터페이스 역시 순차적 검색이라는 비효율적인 방식을 사용할 수밖에 없게 한다. 현재의 고정적인 비효율적인 사용자 인터페이스를 극복하고 사용자의 작업 편의성을 높이기 위하여 본 논문에서는 지능적이고 적응적인 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하는 기술을 제안한다 이 기술은사용자의 과거 행동 등을 기반으로 지능적으로 변화하는 사용자 인터페이스를 자동 생성함으로써 모바일 장치의 사용 효율을 극대화 할 수 있는 기술이다.

본 논문에서는 사용자의 재생 시간을 이용한 멀티미디어 추천 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 사용자에 의해 요청된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠와 그것이 재생된 시간을 기록하고, 기록된 데이터를 가지고 퍼지 연관규칙 탐사 방법을 이용하여 사용자가 관심을 보일 만한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠와 사용자에 의해 재생된 시간에 기반하여 선호 등급을 예측한다. 제안하는 방법은 사용자의 선호 정보를 별도로 입력 받지 않고도 예측된 선호 등급에 따라서 추천 목록에 대한 선호정도를 예측할 수 있으며, 거짓된 선호 정보의 유입을 방지하는 장점이 있다. 유효성 검증을 위해 제안하는 시스템을 구현하고 실험한 결과, 사용자로부터 입력 받은 선호 정보를 포함하지 않은 트랜잭션으로부터 사용자가 높은 선호도를 보일 것이라 예상되는 추천 목록을 선별하여 추천 시스템에 적용할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

필요한 정보를 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 이동형 유비쿼터스 환경이 급속히 발전하고 있다. 이동형 유비쿼터스 단말기 뿐 아니라 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 발전은 이를 더욱 가속화 하고 있으며 대표적인 이동형 단말기인 PDA, 셀룰라 폰, 스마트 폰, 노트북 등에 이동형 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술이 사용되고 있다. 현재 그래픽 또는 음성을 통한 다양한 사용자 인터페이스 환경이 이동형 유비쿼터스 단말기를 위하여 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 사용 방식을 분석하여 각 사용자 특성에 맞는 표준화된 형식의 XML 정보를 이동형 단말기 사용자에게 전달하고 상대적으로 적은 화면을 가지는 이동형 단말기에 효과적으로 정보를 제공할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스 환경을 제시한다.

쿠키는 단순한 텍스트 파일로 사용자가 웹 서비스를 제공 받은 서비스 내용이 기록되어 있다. 쿠키파일에 기록 되는 정보 중에는 사용자의 개인정보도 포함된다. 개인정보가 기록된 쿠키파일을 공격자 획득하게 되면 사용자의 개인정보 유출로 인해 금전적인 피해까지 입을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 쿠키 파일의 보안성 향상을 위해 제시된 관련연구와 쿠키파일의 낮은 보안성으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 취약성을 살펴본다. 관련 연구와 쿠키 파일의 취약성 분석을 통해 쿠키 파일을 안전하게 보관할 수 있는 보안영역에 대한 설계와 효율적인 보안영역을 제시를 위해 보안영역을 구현할 수 있는 방법에 대해서 알아본다. 또한, 성능평가를 통해서 보안성을 확인해 보았다. 보안영역을 통해서 사용자 PC에 저장된 쿠키파일의 보안성을 향상시켜 사용자의 개인정보를 안전하게 유지할 수 있을 것이다.
