  • The decision tree approach is most useful in classification problems and to divide the search space into rectangular regions. Decision tree algorithms are used extensively for data mining in many domains such as retail target marketing, fraud dection, data reduction and variable screening, category merging, etc. We analyze Gyeongnam social indicator survey data using decision tree techniques for environmental information. We can use these decision tree outputs for environmental preservation and improvement.

  • We develop a smart tourism information system that provides smart tourism services to free independent tourists (FITs) through various content distribution channels such as mobile apps, Instagram, YouTube, and chatbots. The smart tourism information system provides location and storytelling-based tourism information, accommodation, restaurant information, and recommended travel products so that tourists can create a travel itinerary based on personalized situation awareness. The smart tourism information system also provides smart tourism services using commercial maps, navigation, and weather forecast APIs from the Korea Meteorological Administration to provide smart tour guide services to tourists who travel according to the travel itinerary. In this paper, we develop the React Native app that provides smart tourism services provided by the smart tourism information system. The smart tourism React Native app has implemented two methods: a method that directly connects to the smart tourism information system, and a method that provides services by interworking through the GraphQL Query Language developed by META (Facebook). The smart tourism React Native app implements OSMU (One Source Multi-use) by providing tourism information from mobile apps, photos from Instagram, and drone videos from YouTube as an integrated UI.

  • Geotechnical Information Database Project was began by Ministry of Construction Transport at the 1999, because many people need a sharing and reusing the geotechnical report in construction process. In the beginning, target was report of national highway construction. the whole of country has been target on since the 2005. Today, the 60,581 number of geotechnical data(counted by boring number) is maintained. In this study, Geotechnical Information Distribute System(GIDS) was developed, in order to improve practical use and to be connected to National Geographic Information Center(NGIC). and program to be applicable to construction was suggested. We expect that GIDS make a effect to improve geotechnical data application and to be use in all part of construction process.

  • Node which plays the role of cache server does not exist in the wireless ad-hoc network consisting of only mobile nodes. Even if it exists, it is difficult to provide cache services due to the movement of nodes. Therefore, the cooperative cache technique is necessary in order to improve the efficiency of information access by reducing data access time and use of bandwidth in the wireless ad-hoc network. In this paper, the whole network is divided into zones which don't overlap and master node of each zone is elected. General node of each zone has ZICT and manages cache data to cooperative cache and gateway node use NZCT to manage cache information of neighbor zone. We proposed security structure which can accomplish send and receive in the only node issued id key in the elected master node in order to prepare for cache consistent attack which is vulnerability of distributed caching techniques. The performance of the proposed method in this paper could confirm the excellent performance through comparative experiments of GCC and GC techniques.

  • Active networks allow active node’s functionality to be extended dynamically through the use of active extensions. This flexible architecture facilitates the deployment of new network protocols and services. However, the active nature of a network also raises serious safety and security concerns. These concerns must be addressed before active networks can be deployed. In this paper we look at how we can control active extension’s access to different active nodes. Specifically, the authentication between active nodes is very important in this case. We use unique identity each node has for transferring access policies between active nodes. In this paper, we suggest a new method of transferring access policies performing authentications using identities between active nodes.

  • Korea Telecom provides a wide range of communicat ion services and plays an important role in bring advanced technologies to the society. Increasing needs for utility management lead up to develop a Telephone Outside plant Management System(TOMS) which combines facility management with Geog¬raphic Information System (GIS). TOMS is a powerful, flexible and effective outside plant facility management system. TOMS provides value added applic¬at ion softwares and easy-to-use user interfaces which make TOMS eas i ly adapted and extended to the individual sites. TOMS is now in use in 30 percent of central offices and will be used nation-wide by 1996.

The smart grid using various protocol need to use independent middleware system for exchanging information data. The application system of Smart Grid is exchanging information on the almost All-IP system. The current All-IP middleware system consist of SOAP and RESTful. This paper analysis SOAP and RESTful.   • Mobile internet access using such devices as PDAs and cellular phones becomes popular as mobile technologies grow. However, the characteristics of small screen devices such as small screen size and pen-based input cause many usability problems. In this study, a human factors experiment was conducted to identify the factors affecting the usability of information search on a PDA. Factors manipulated in the experiment included use of wheel equipment, scroll dimension, and screen orientation. Task completion time, error frequency, and subjective satisfaction level were measured. In addition, various users' behavioral patterns such as scanning routes and mainly used scrolling methods were analyzed. Scroll dimension has a significant effect on task completion time. Scroll equipment and screen orientation affect subjective satisfaction level. The results could be applied to designing information structure of web sites for mobile use by providing vertical scroll and using external scroll equipments.

Interoperability of Spatial Data through Open Web Map Server

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.
