  • In this study, we analyzed t he design condition for appropriate design factor at geothermal system design documents. It is intended to provide the proper information of geothermal system design condition when construct new building, designer can use design conditions more efficiently. Therefore, it is possible to plan for domestic geothermal system, through utilization at design element, to provide as a good information that can predict the approximate underground condition. Thus, provided the basic design conditions that can predict the capacity of the geothermal system. It will be the first step to solve the problem.

  • 본 연구에서는 하이브리드 모터의 연소율 증진을 위해 두 가지 방법을 사용하여 연구하였다. 첫째로, 산화제 유입 시에 스월 유동을 적용하여 연소율 향상을 이룰 수 있도록 산화제 스월 인젝터를 적용하여 실험하였다. 둘째로 연소 면적 증대와 스월 유동을 유도하기 위하여 나사산 형상의 연료 그레인을 제작하여 연구하였으며 PMMA 고체 연료와 기체 산소가 사용하였다. 이전에 진행되었던 실험 결과를 바탕으로 새로운 실험결과를 분석하고, 각 방법의 문제점을 살펴보고 개선점을 연구하였다.

Bio 필터를 이용한 Toluene 제거에서 미생물분해에 관한 연구 (A Study on Microbial Degradation for Removal of Toluene Vapour by Biofilter)

  • A biological filter for treatment of toluene among volatile organic compounds was studied. The investigation was conducted using specially built stainless steel columns packed with granular activated carbon and cold for removal of toluene. The G.A. and mold as filter material was also coated with Pseudomonas putida microorganisms.The biofilter unit was operated in the condition of moisture content vairation at gas loading rate of 12.5 l/min. Gaseous toluene taken from tedlar bag was analyzed by the use of G.C equipped with F.I.d detector. The removal efficiency of gaseous toluene was 95% at average inlet concentration of 950 ppm during bio-degradation operating condition. Effective removal efficiency was obtained with moisture content 27.5% at activated carbon and 32% at mold in this study. The effective operating condition were obtained with pH 6-8, temperature 28-42℃ for microbial degradation at gas loading rate of 12.5 l/min in packed material.

Optimal Design of Partially Accelerated Life Testing for Multi-Component Mixed Systems

  • In this paper we consider optimal designs of partially accelerated life testing which is devised for multi-component mixed systems with the considerably long lifetime. Test items are run at both use condition and accelerated condition until a specified censoring time. The optimal criterion for the sample-proportion allocated to accelerated condition is to minimize asymptotic variance of the maximum likelihood estimators of the acceleration factor and hazard rates.

  • Under certain conditions, we use augmented Lagrangians to transform a class of generalized semi-infinite min-max problems into common semi-infinite min-max problems, with the same set of local and global solutions. We give two conditions for the transformation. One is a necessary and sufficient condition, the other is a sufficient condition which can be verified easily in practice. From the transformation, we obtain a new first-order optimality condition for this class of generalized semi-infinite min-max problems.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to aid the scientists and engineers in applying response surface procedures to obtain optimum operating conditions for many technical fields, particularly, for industrial manufacturing process. When a set of data is available from an experimental design, it is often of interest to fit a second order polynomial regression model in k independent variables, and find the condition of the independent variables (e. g., temperature, pressure, etc.) that optimize the response variable (e. g., yield, strength, etc.). This paper proposes a method how to obtain the optimum operating condition, and how 10 find the condition by using the computer. A computer program written in FORTRAN language is attached for the readers who may want to use the computer program.

고온용 세라믹 열교환기 설계를 위한 수치 연구 (A Numerical Simulation for Design of High Temperature Ceramic Heat Exchanger)

  • To improve its efficiency, most of the industrial furnace had been used recuperator. However, commonly used metal recuperator is not suitable under condition of temperature higher than $1000^{\circ}C$. The other hand, ceramic recuperator is able to use in high temperature condition. In the present study, the design program based on the basic heat exchanger design theory, and CFD modelling are applied to ceramic recuperator to verify the design results. Using design program to find the optimum design factor on the variation of recuperator condition. The result of this study are as follows : Thinner fin-plate thickness reduces pressure drop and increases heat-transfer rate, However, thin plate or plate with thin thickness(< 5 mm) is difficult to manufacture, due to limited mechanically strength.

  • We are concerned with the question of servicing warranties for repairable items. During the warranty period, each time an item fails the manufacturer has the obligation to restore the item to operational condition either by repairing the item or by replacing it by a new item. In this paper, we consider the repair-replacement strategies based on the condition of the failed item. For products with phase-type lifetime distributions where the phases represent the condition of the item, we develop algorithms to determine the expected cost of servicing a warranty and use it in making the repair-replacement decision. Illustrative numerical examples are presented. We also propose a dynamic strategy by taking the expected remaining warranty cost into consideration.

고주파 기판용 PTFE 복합체 형성 압력에 따른 유전 특성 (Dielectric Characteristics of Polytetrafluoroethylene-based Composites for Microwave Substrates with Formation Pressure)

  • PTFE composites for use of microwave substrate were fabricated by impregnation and heat treatment fabrication with glass fabric. This study shows dielectric properties such as dielectric constant and loss can be controlled by thickness of PTFE composite with change of pressure condition in heating press process. The dielectric constant of the PTFE composites has decreasing tendency as given higher pressure condition. The dielectric loss has similar result too. Especially, the case of the dielectric loss was affected by the condition of pressure at heating press and had the best performance under 3 MPa. In order to see the reason why thickness conditions make different, their microstructures were also observed.
