The membrane structure is being applied in structures for various uses for its many advantages as permeableness, lightweightness, constructability, resource saving, and management cost reduction, and the usage is being expanded. However, despite the development of membrane structure, the standard for architectural membrane performance that considered fire safety is still inadequate. Therefore, this study applied basalt fiber with flame resistance on architectural membrane. Also, this study confirmed the membrane applicability of basalt fiber through comparison with existing architectural membrane.

With the advancement of the industry such as information technology, residential facilities has been consistently achieved high standard. Ubiquitous system has been introduced in apartments nowadays, and it will be general facilities in the near future. However elderly people is not generally accustomed to ubiquitous or internet environment, so degree of ubiquitous system usage is able to be less than young people. This study aims to grasp the relative importance of ubiquitous environment, and offer materials to realize residential environment's improvement of silver towns under investigation through a questionnaire survey. Skin recognition system was most preferred among various functions. Energy management system, protection system of solitude elderly person and security system by CCTV was also preferred at a high rate. Housework part such as cooking aid, height control of sink and basin etc., was not less important system relatively.

In recently, the Korea government is concerning on non-point source pollution management to improve water quality. The objective of this paper is to investigate the improvement measurement for management of livestock wastes. As a result, we find that the National Pollution Source Survey is necessary to establish the unified database system with the Korea Statistics(KOSAT) in order to minimize the difference between relevant data. The investigation for environmental impact of livestock manure should be supported the designation of control areas and establishment of the technical guidelines including target material, monitoring site, standard method, etc. In addition, it should be followed by appropriate nutrient recycling and proper fertilizer usage based on social consultation and cost-benefit analysis.

In this paper, the 128bit AES block cipher algorithm OCB (Offset Code Book) mode for privacy and authenticity of high speed packet data was efficiently designed in C language level and was optimized to support the required capacity of contents server using high performance DSP. It is known that OCB mode is about two times faster than CBC-MAC mode. As an experimental result, the encryption / decryption speed of the implemented block cipher was 308Mbps, 311 Mbps respectively at 1GHz clock speed, which is 50% faster than a general design with 3.5% more memory usage.

In IEEE 802.16j standard document, two modes about usage of RS are proposed; one is transparent mode to enhance data throughput and the other is non-transparent mode to extend coverage. In this paper, we focus on non-transparent mode and find that the mode also affects data throughput. We analyze data throughput on various RS topology and their extended coverage area in non-transparent mode. From the analysis, we see that higher throughput can be obtained when MR-BS and RS are located distantly.

This paper presented a FPGA design of SEED, which is the Korea standard 128-bit block cipher. In this work, SEED was designed technology- independently for other applications such as ASIC or core-based designs. Hence in case of changing the target of design, it is not necessary to modify design or need only minor modification to reuse the design. Since SEED algorithm requires a lot of hardware resources, each unit was designed only once and used sequentially. So, the number of gates was minimized and SEED algorithm was fitted in FPGA without additional components. It was confirmed that the rate of resource usage is about 80% in ALTERA 10KE and the SEED design operates in a clock frequency of 131.57 MHz and an encryption rate of 29 Mbps.

The rural traditional houses in Taebaek mountainous regions play important roles in figuring out values and social aspects of past time including housing life. But due to the introduction of convenient facilities in the current housing life style after industrialized society, many transformations have been taken place even to exist rural traditional folk houses such as installation of new equipment and furniture, the arrangement and function change of rooms, expansion of residential area and etc. So this study aims to secure basic data to prepare installation standard of the convenient facilities as examining convenience facility installation status of the cultural asset designated as rural traditional house, and to identify the meaning and usage of major room of rural traditional houses in order to prepare the proper balances between its original form preservation and residents' convenience living.

Hybrid electric propulsion systems are expected as future primary combat platforms because the systems can supply enough electric power, easily locate components inside vehicles, and maneuver without undesired noise. However, increasing electric/electronic/software usage causes abnormal failure patterns which have not been noticeable in conventional automotive. Recently, the functional safety standard for road vehicles were enacted and vehicle manufacturers request their components which satisfy standardized quality. This research analyzes functional safety standards(IEC 61508 and ISO 26262) and compares the standards for road vehicles with military standards of system safety. Strategies to apply functional safety in the combat hybrid electric vehicle are scrutinized.

Application Service Provider(ASP), the service provider who manages and delivers standard application functionality or associated service across a network to multiple customers using a usage-based pricing model, has appeared as a new business style in information technology market. For successful implementation of the ASP model, some critical issues should be noted. Because these issues are related to service qualities, certification and audit of ASP are important. This paper investigates characteristics of the ASP model and designs the proper frameworks for certification and audit of ASP. It is examined how the framework can remove potential threats and risks of the ASP model, and how the framework can be compared with traditional approaches.
