Recently, a digital divide has gotten worse in the information age. So LG Sangnam library developed the ubiquitous library for the improvement of information accessability of the blind. It utilizes a mobile phone applied with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology and automates a user's identification process and serve library services at anytime from anywhere. Users can use three access points of a web service, a mobile service and a telephone library service. As a conclusion of this paper. Several recommendations were proposed. For the development of ubiquitous library, various instruments should be considered to diversify user's access points and a usability test and analysis about user's environmental context should be done simultaneously.

The conventional markets in small towns have showed a different trend, compared with those of urban district. As the conventional markets, which are located in urban districts, are being depressed, those in small towns are being activated by each local government. The activation of conventional market is being recognized as an important means for developing communities, and the project for fostering conventional market is being competitively carried out by each local government. The active center of conventional market is constituted centering on the central area of the market. However, in case of the small towns' conventional markets, it is known that the market site, which is secured at market day, heavily influences on the central area. Thus, in order that the small towns' conventional markets may be activated, securing territories of conventional markets and market site should be considered. Altogether, in order to activate the conventional markets, some conclusions were derived as follows: Expanding market site through improving the usability of space by territories, Controlling peddlers by territories and balancing business items, Amplifying the convenient facilities for users, Securing and improving the central area, Standardizing the facilities that were installed by stores and peddlers.

According to the activation of the fashion electronic commerce, this research investigated the merits and demerits and improvement plan of the 3D virtual try-on technology using the qualitative research method. This research was performed by interview with 70 evaluation group. The evaluation group of 3D virtual try-on was organized and the fit evaluation process by 3D human body scan and the 3D virtual try-on of the i-Fashion technology center were experienced. This study was performed by interview after the actual and virtual try-on about the casual shirt. The convenience and accuracy of measurement, usability in online shopping, body evaluation, complement of sizing system, and body shape management were discovered as merits. The requirement of high accuracy in sizing and avatar, limits of fabric expression, practical limitation by cost, vexatious of measurement garment, differences between real and virtual fittings, personal information leakage risk, and etc were pointed out as demerits. The mass customization, customized garment connected with medical service, humanized avatar, improved fitting report, entertainment, coordination, wardrobe manager were proposed as improvement plan.

This paper is to investigate the employees' corresponding types and casual analysis. It proposes the legal and practical measures for improvement of Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance's usability. The results from the empirical analysis indicate that (1) 91.4 percent of the respondents feel the necessity of Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance, (2) 67.4 percent of the respondents perceive that Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance is useful, (3) employers' perceptions of the specific items of Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance appears to be low. (4) 35.9 percent of the respondents deal with industrial accidents through other ways such as health insurance and car insurance. The study ends with discussion of the findings and provides several theoretical and managerial implications and recommendations for future research and applications.

Chungnam-Do is the major agricultural province, supplies the large amount of rice and has the best situation in rice production. Rice production in Chungnam region is the major income source of farmers in the Chungnam province. In spite of the best quality, the rice quality which is produced in Chungnam province has been underestimated. For the improvement of this situation. Chungnam local government has developed the 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' brand. The objective of the study is to give marketing information on 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice for its sales promotion. The survey data on consumption patterns of consumers in the Taejon city who consume the 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice were used in the analysis. The conclusions of this study may be summarized as follows : Generally the people who live in the Taejon city and consume the 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice satisfy its quality, but the sales promotion of 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice is needed For the sales promotion of 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice, diversification of products, efficient usability of market agency, improvement of packing design, adequate advertisement, guarantee of 'Cheong-Pung-Myeong-Wall' rice taste and food safety, introduction of differentiated price by the producing region are required.

Crane is an important equipment for the transport of heavy goods in industrial sites, but it is also known as one of the most fatal machines. In order to reduce crane accidents, it is necessary to minimize human errors during crane operations. To achieve this, ergonomic design principles are recommended to be reflected from the crane design stage. The study analyzed the safety certification standards for crane that should be fulfilled at the crane design and manufacturing stage. This study selected five representative ergonomic design principles (feedback, compatibility, consistency, full-proof, and fail-safe) by surveying heuristic evaluation principles that are widely used for usability evaluation in early design stage. Next, the principles were applied to the safety certification standards to identify insufficient clauses. This study identified 12 insufficient clauses out of 119 in the current safety certification standards for crane and discussed their improvement directions to comply the ergonomic principles. The analysis results of this study can help of improving the safety certification standards and the method used in this study can also be applied to identify insufficient clauses in the safety certification standards for other industrial machines such as press machine and lift.

This paper aimed at contributing to the improvement of objectivity and reliability of operating audit, quantitative audit result, being able to comparing with best practice and past operating status, through providing quantitative operation check sheet. Quantitative operation check sheet is comprised of thirteen basic check sheet area. The auditors evaluate the current operation status level with basis of basic check sheet area. It is hoped that this thesis on a quantitative operation check sheet for the Improvement of the operation Audit will become the basis for the applicaton and effectiveness of an operation audit that not only the improvement of the quality of information system audit but also usability of operation audit.

To improve and optimize user interfaces of the system, the accurate understanding of users' behavior is an essential prerequisite. Direct questions depend on user' s ambiguous memory and usability tests depend on the researchers' intention instead of users'. Furthermore, they do not provide with natural context of use. In this paper we described the work which examined users' behavior through log analysis in their own environment. 50 users were recruited by consumer segmentation and they were downloaded logging-software in their mobile phone. After two weeks, logged data were gathered and analyzed. The complementary methods such as a user diary and an interview were conducted. The result of the analysis showed the frequency of menu and key access, used time, data storage and several usage patterns. Also, it was found that users could be segmented into new groups by their usage patterns. The improvement of the mobile phone user interface was proposed based on the result of this study.

Wireless Sensor Networks is applied to improvement of life convenience or service like U-City as well as environment pollution, tunnel and structural health monitoring, storm, and earthquake diagnostic system. To increase the usability of sensor data and applicability, mobile devices and their facilities allow the applications of sensor networks to give mobile users and actuators the results of event detection at anytime and anywhere. In this paper, we present MUSNEMO(Multi-sensor centric Ubiquitous Smart sensor NEtwork using Mobile devices) developed system for providing more efficient and valuable information services with a variety of mobile devices and network camera integrated to WSN. Our system is performed based on IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack. To validate system usability, we built sensor network environments where were equipped with five application sensors such magnetic, photodiode, microphone, motion and vibration. We also built and tested proposed MUSNEMO to provide a novel model for event detection systems with mobile framework.

The mobility and accessibility enhancement is gradually becoming a global interest due to the growth in the aging population and concerns about people with disabilities. The main purpose of this study is to know the current situation in barrier-free level in railroad facilities in order to allow the mobility handicapped to travel in a safe and convenient manner. The research has started with investigating current situation for the mobility handicapped people and explores the needs of barrier-free facilities. 84 domestic railroad facilities were evaluated based on assessment tool developed from the mobility handicapped act. As a result, the fact that the mobility handicapped experienced limited accessibility due to various types of obstacles in the facilities was discovered. Based on the evaluation, obstacles in the facilities were analyzed and categorized by specific dimensions, users' accessibility, mobility, usability, and clarity (way-finding). This study suggests barrier-free design for passenger facilities focused on train station. Because mobility and accessibility are emphasized in current society, improvement of the mobility handicapped' movement should be considered. Barrier-free design for passenger facilities should be realized throughout comprehending the reasons why these obstacles occur in the facilities not using installation convenience facilities. This study has meaning in finding out the obstacles in each cause of occurrence(accessibility, mobility, usability, and clarity (way-finding)).
