현행 중등학교 과학 실험.실습 교육 실태 조사 및 그 운영 진단(I)-중학교 과학 실험.실습 교육을 중심으로- (An Analysis and Survey on the Experimental and Practical Science Education of Middle School in Korea)

  • The status of facilities, management for the experiment, practices, teaching methods in middle schools have been investigated. The present status and reasonable management of the middle school science education have been grasped from the questionaires. To do this 125 secondary science teachers, 1,745 students and 70 principals of schools in Korea are administered questionaires of Science Education Reserch Institute of Kyungpook National University(1996). The results of this study are as follows : The reasonable management for experiments and practices of science education were scanty in the middle school around the urban and rural school owing to the shortage of facilities and equipments, crowded class, excessive class works for teacher, excessive contents of present textbooks and insufficiency of the administrative supports etc. The current teaching method of middle school science has emphasized knowledge. This fact does not satisfy the objective of learning due to lack of the teaching method. Desirable directions for the improvement of present status of middle school science education were proposed in this paper

영동지역 영양사의 1일 보행수, 활동계수 및 에너지 소비량 평가 (Assessment of Daily Steps, Activity Coefficient and Daily Energy Expenditures of Dieticians in Youngdong-area)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the energy expenditure and investigate the relationship between related variables of 57 dieticians in Youngdong-area. The average daily number of steps was found to be 9358.0$\pm$2714.3 steps/day on weekdays and 7862.9$\pm$2504.9 steps/day during weekends. Hourly step rates on weekdays and weekends came to 570.6$\pm$249.8 steps/hr and 564.0$\pm$224.8 steps/hr, respectively. Activity coefficient of subjects was higher on weekdays (1.56) than weekends (1.51, p<0.05). Resting energy expenditure estimated by the Harris-Benedict formula, WHO/NAO/FAO formula as well as formulas based on body surface area and DRIs (Dietary Reference Intake for Koreans) were calculated to be 1333.7$\pm$89.5kcal/day, 1351.0$\pm$123.3kcal/day, 1388.5$\pm$100.3kcal/day and 1295.9$\pm$90.8kcal/day, respectively. Using these resting energy expenditures and the activity coefficients, daily energy expenditures were calculated to be from 2039.7kcal/day to 2183.5kcal/day on weekdays and from 2016.1kcal/day to 2159.2kcal/day on weekends. Meanwhile energy intakes of subjects on weekdays and weekends were 1594.7$\pm$698.3kcal and 2152.9$\pm$768.0kcal, respectively. The activity coefficient (1.49) of dieticians who managed less than 500 meals per day was significantly lower than that of dieticians who served more than 500 meals per day. Dieticians of schools located in rural areas had higher activity coefficient (1.59) than those of schools located in urban or island settings. These results suggest that work analysis and development of management strategies are necessary to improve dieticians' productivity.

외국의 교육제도와 교육시설의 특징 - 독일, 싱가포르, 미국의 사례를 중심으로 - (The Study on the foreign education system and educational facilities - Cases of the Germany, Singapore and the United States -)

  • Nowadays, the knowledge of modern society through education has become more and more complicated. The education system and the educational philosophy have created various education systems and methods for each country due to the difference of history and culture. In Korea, there are various teaching methods in recent years. However, if the traditional teaching method in Korea is based on educating teachers with a good understanding of the contents taught, some foreign countries such as USA and Germany can express their thoughts of the total population. In this situation, this study researches cases of other countries that have different educational systems from ours. It compares the differences of social background, educational program, and educational space in Germany, Singapore and the United States. As a result of this study, the following contents can be derived. The educational program is based on the social background of each country and plans an educational space suitable for the education program. In Germany, the emphasis is on the students' experience and community consciousness rather than on the amount of knowledge, so a home base space is planned between the classrooms to solve the problem of lack of solidarity and belonging among the students who are lacking in the curriculum. Some practical courses are run in the community. In Singapore, educational programs are elite-oriented compared to the other country, and because of the typical tropical climate, educational facilities are characterized by a lot of common space in semi-exterior space. Many schools in the United States have IMC in the central part of their schools that adopt self-directed learning and discussion.

도서관과 학생수련시설에 대한 교육시설 안전인증 요소의 확대적용 방안 연구 (A Study on the Expanded Application of the Educational Facility Safety Certification Toward Libraries and Student Training Facilities)

  • 안전하고 쾌적한 교육환경 조성 및 교육 질 향상을 위하여, 2021년 「교육시설 등의 안전 및 유지관리 등에 관한 법률」이 제정되었다. 이에 따라 「교육시설 안전 인증 운영 규정」이 수립되었으며, 유치원, 초·중·고등학교 및 특수학교, 대학 및 기타 교육시설의 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 분류되어 평가되어진다. 기타 교육시설에는 도서관, 학생수련원이 포함된다. 하지만, 학생수련원, 도서관은 수련, 독서 등의 특수 활동이 발생하는 시설로 학교와 차이점을 두고 있다. 때문에 학생수련원 도서관 시설만의 특수성이 「교육시설 안전 인증 운영 규정」에 반영될 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 기타시설에 해당되는 학생수련원과 도서관의 특수성을 「교육시설 안전 인증 운영 규정」이 어떻게 반영하고 있는지에 대한 분석이 수행되었다. 선행 인증제도 및 가이드라인과 비교 분석되었으며, 현장 조사방법이 이용되었다. 최종적으로 도서관과 학생수련원에 대하여 각각 9가지의 세부 기준 검토가 필요한 것으로 확인되었다.

일 지역 학령기 아동의 비만수준과 비만관련 요인 (Distribution and Correlates of Obesity School Children in a Region)

  • Purpose : This study is descriptive correlation research to provide basic materials for developing program which can give practical assistance in preventing and managing obesity through more comprehensive approaches of influential factors on obesity found in existing literatures. Methods : Data were collected from the 4th, 5th and 6th graders at 2 elementary schools in Gwangju Metropolitan City and 4 elementary schools in Jeollanamdo province using questionnaire and students' physical examination results from June 15 to July 27, 2006 and data obtained from 1,866 students were used for analysis. Data collected were analyzed with technical statistics and correlation analysis using SPSS/PC(version 12.0). Results : 1. Obesity level of elementary school students was examined as follows; 33.2% had low weight, 44.3% normal, 10.8% overweight and 11.7% obese. 14.8% of boys and 8.6% of girls, 13.5% of the 4th graders, 12.1% of the 5th graders and 9.2% of the 6th graders, and 13.7% of urban students and 9.6% of rural students were obese. 2. According to general characteristics and obesity of the subjects, there were significant differences by sex(${\chi}^2=29.55$, p= .000), grade(${\chi}^2=12.84$, p= .046), region(${\chi}^2=41.96$, p= .000) and pocket money(${\chi}^2=33.43$, p= .001). 3. As genetic factors, all variables including sibling's obesity r= .128(p= .000), mother's obesity r= .098(p= .000) and father's obesity r= .081(p= .001) had influence on children's obesity. 4. Concerning environmental factors, there was positive correlation between eating habits r=- .052(p= .02) and school record r=- .048(p= .04) and there was negative correlation between internet using time r= .050(p= .03) and conflict with parents r= .048(p= .04). 5. Self-respect as psychological factor had negative correlation as r=- .048(p= .04). Conclusion : Consequently, the influential factors on obesity of elementary school students were as follows. Obesity was higher in boys than in girls, in urban areas than in rural areas, in lower grade than in higher grade, in children with obese siblings, obese father and mother, irregular and wrong eating habits, frequent internet uses, parents in conflict and lower school record and self-respect. Therefore, since it was found that these variables were more exact causes to increase children's obesity, development of various obesity mediation programs considering these variables at home, school and society is urgently required.

도시와 농촌 초등학생의 성의식 및 성가치관에 관한 비교 연구 (A comparative study on sex-consciousness and sexual values between urban and rural elementary schoolers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the sex-consciousness and sexual values of school children by geographic region. It's specifically attempted to make a comparative analysis of sex-consciousness and sexual values between urban and rural elementary schoolers to help provide efficient sex education for them to build the right sexual values. The subjects in this study were 400 elementary schoolers in their sixth year of elementary schools located in Danyang-gun and Chungju city, north Chungcheong province. After a survey was conducted, answer sheets from 387 students that were analyzable were analyzed. For data handling, SPSS program was employed, and t-test was utilized to see if there's any differences between the urban and rural elementary school youngsters in sex consciousness and sexual values. And $x^2$ test was used to make a comparative analysis of their view of sex education. The findings of the study were as follows : First, regarding sex-consciousness, they had general knowledge on sex. Especially, they were highly aware of sexual violence and the generation of baby, but many of them didn't know about where and how egg cells were produced. This indicated that systematic education should be offered in various ways. Concerning geographic gap, there was a significant difference in sexual knowledge between the urban and rural students. As to sexual attitude, they took a relatively positive attitude toward display of affection or sex-related talk on TV or in movies, as they viewed it as natural. This finding implied that the elementary schoolers were recipient toward sex and took an active attitude toward sexual expressions. Concerning geographic gap, there was no difference between the rural and urban students. As for sexual practices, the largest group of the students had a liking for the opposite sex, which showed that their needs for sex were unveiled in the course of having some trouble due to the other sex rather than through firsthand experiences or activities. As to geographic gap, there was a significant difference between the urban and rural students in that regard. Besides, the urban students put their sex-consciousness in practice more often than the rural students did. After they are educated to build the right sexual values, systematic sex-education programs should also be offered for them to be exposed to sustained sex education and to team how to apply their sex-consciousness to real life. Second, as for sexual values, the school children had relatively positive and equalitarian sexual values. Regarding geographic gap, there were significant gaps between the two groups' view of the opposite sex, sexual roles and chastity. Concerning view of the opposite sex, they attached more importance to the inner aspects of the opposite sex than his or her look, and they wanted to date in a natural manner. Regarding sexual roles, they were relatively well cognizant of gender equity and the importance of male and female roles. As to view of chastity, they looked upon sex as natural, not as what's ugly or ashamed of. Third, concerning their outlook on sex education, approximately more than half the students felt the needs for sex education, and there was a significant difference between the urban and rural students. They wanted to receive education about the prevention of sexual violence and physical changes during puberty the most, and there was a significant gap between the urban and rural students in this aspect. As to the time for sex education, they thought that students should start to be exposed to sex education in their fifth or sixth year. This finding signified that fifth or sixth graders who were in the beginning of puberty started to have a lot of interest in their own physical changes. Therefore, sex education would produce better effects when it's provided to fifth or sixth graders. Nearly half them preferred single-gender class when they received sex education, and there's no gap between the urban and rural students in that regard.

일부 농어촌과 도시 청소년들의 식행동 특성 및 식품기호도 (Food Behaviors and Food Preferences of the Teenagers in Urban, Fishing, and Rural Areas)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the food behaviors and food preferences of teenagers by regional groups. The subjects were composed of 365 third grade students in middle schools from urban, rural and fishing areas in Kyungpook province. The data was collected by using a survey questionnaire. The results of the study are summarized as follows: Eating habits of 21-47% of the subjects, according to the regions, were poor and female students in large city showed the best eating habits while female students in fishing village showed the poorest eating habits. Out of the three regional groups studied, the subjects from the fishing villages had the highest rates of skipping meals and eating between meals. Out of all the people investigated, thirty to forty percent had unbalanced diets, the highest percentage coming from the urban areas and the lowest from the fishing villages. All together an allergic reaction to food was the highest in the fishing villages' subjects and female students were more sensitive compared to the male students. Students from the urban area had higher frequency of symptoms of lactose intolerance. Upon the investigation of the subjects 'food preferences, they preferred boiled rice to any other rice as a staple food. Cha jang myun was the most preferred out of all noodles and breads. It was found that teenagers preferred one course meal such as fried rice to a rice-centered regular meal. Out of all various meat soups, beef soup and beef-rib soup were preferred the most. As for subsidiary foods the most preferred were soybean paste stew and cuttlefish stew which they ate daily. There was a very high preference for fried foods, the most favored being pork cutlet followed by fried vegetables, sweet potatoes, and minced meat. The most preferred cooked vegetables were bean sprouts and seasoned cucumber. Seasoned cubed radish roots were the most preferred kind of kimchi. For desserts there was a very high preference for the following fruits: apples, plums, strawberries, and oranges. For beverages the most popular choice were chocolate drinks followed by orange juice, apple juice, milk and tomato juice. According to these investigations, most teenagers liked daily foods which they are used to. The study showed that on the whole the teenagers had poor eating habits. A problem that needs immediate attention is that female students and students from the fishing villages have a high rate of skipping meals. It is expected that the results of this food preference test of teenagers could be useful in the meal planning of middle school lunch programs in the future.

일 도시지역 노인의 삶의 질 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Quality of Life of Elders in Urban Regions)

  • 본 연구는 도시지역 노인의 삶의 질 정도 및 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 2012년 10월 2일부터 10월 25일까지 부산광역시에 소재한 4개의 노인대학에 다니는 65세 이상의 노인 300명을 대상으로 설문조사 수집하였으며 최종 245부를 분석하였다. 노인의 삶의 질 정도를 파악하였고, 삶의 질 영역간의 상관관계 분석과 다중회귀분석을 통해 삶의 질에 미치는 요인들을 분석하였으며 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도시 노인의 삶의 질 평균평점은 3.17(5점척도)로 중간정도의 결과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 연구대상자의 삶의 질 하위영역별간에는 우울영역을 제외한 모든 영역 간에서 유의미한 양의관계를 보였다. 셋째, 삶의 질에 가장 영향을 주는 요인으로는 심리적 건강, 사회적 관계, 신체적 관계 순으로 유의한 수준을 보였다(p<0.001). 본 연구결과를 토대로 삶의 질에 심리적 건강인 우울증상이 주요 요인으로 나타난 만큼 우울증 완화를 시킬 수 있는 간호중재와 프로그램의 적용방안이 요구된다.

개발종료 채석장 부지를 활용한 해외 복합 개발 사례에 대한 고찰 : 영국과 호주 사례 (A Study on Mixed-use Development Cases Using Closed Quarry Site of Overseas; the UK and Australia)

  • 21세기 들어 영국, 호주 등 해외에서도 대도시권의 주택가격 상승문제가 나타나고 있다. 이들 정부는 대도시 인근에 위치한 개발종료 채석장 부지를 택지로 적극 활용하여 주택부족 문제를 해소하고자 하고 있다. 본 연구에서 검토한 영국의 Erith Hill Quarry (The Quarry)나 Plymstock Quarry, 호주의 Lilydale Quarry (Kinley)와 Bombo Quarry는 모두 도시 계획적 제도를 통해 개발이 종료된 채석장을 주택, 상업 등 복합용도로 개발한 사례이다. 영국은 도시계획제도의 틀 안에서 Section 106이라는 계획허가 제도를 통해 지방정부가 개발종료 채석장 부지의 복합개발을 허가하는 대신 지역에 필요한 학교 등의 공공시설과 저렴한 주택을 공급하도록 하고 있다. 호주는 채석장의 토지이용을 산업에서 복합용도로 변경할 수 있도록 지방정부의 허가권한을 활용하고, 개발계획에 저렴한 주거 외에도 도시기반시설, 오픈 스페이스 등이 포함되도록 하고 있다. 특히, 호주의 사례에서 개발계획을 사전에 수립하고, 단계적 개발방식을 통해 상부 표토 및 표석을 채굴적을 메우는 충전재로 활용한 것은 사업비를 절감하는 효과도 있는 것으로 보인다. 영국과 호주 모두 개발종료 채석장 부지를 택지로 공급하는 것이 신규 녹지를 훼손하는 것보다 미래세대를 위한 지속가능한 친환경적 개발이라는 관점에서 바라보고 있다는 점에서 다소 경직된 우리의 도시개발 제도에 정책적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

COVID-19 사회적 거리두기가 도시공간이용에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of Social Distancing for COVID-19 on Urban Space Use in Seoul)

  • 이 연구에서는 COVID-19 확산에 따른 정부의 사회적 거리두기 조치가 도시민들의 공간이용행태에 미친 영향을 서울시 생활인구 자료를 이용하여 분석한다. 생활인구는 서울시와 KT가 공공빅데이터와 LTE시그널 데이터를 이용하여 추계한 특정시점, 특징지역에 존재하는 모든 인구이다. 커널밀도추정과 공간자기상관을 이용하여 COVID-19 유행 전후인 2019년과 2020년의 주중 주간생활인구를 분석한 결과, 2019년과 2020년의 생활인구분포는 전반적으로 유사한 패턴을 보였다. 이는 정부의 사회적 거리두기 조치가 COVID-19 확산을 통제하면서도 어느 정도 정상적인 활동을 가능하게 했다는 것을 의미한다. 그러나 2020년과 2019년의 차감생활인구에 대한 분석 결과는 미시적 차원에서 다른 결과를 보여주고 있다. 상업시설과 업무시설이 밀집한 지역에서는 주간생활인구가 감소하였으며 주거지역에서는 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 COVID-19 사회적 거리두기 조치가 공간적으로 균등하지 않은 영향을 발생시켰다는 것을 의미한다. 공간회귀분석을 통해 지역, 토지이용, 경제, 교육, 접근성 특성의 생활인구 변화 영향을 분석한 결과, 상업과 업무시설 밀도가 높을수록, 규제를 받는 업종들과 비대면 수업을 하는 학교와 대학교가 많을수록 주간생활인구가 더 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 재택근무와 야외활동 증가로 주택과 공원이 많을수록 주간생활인구가 더 증가한 것으로 나타났다.
