도서관건축의 리모델링 수법 (A Study on Remodeling Method of Library Architecture)

  • This study is to analyze the remodeling method of library in terms of space extension method and urban regeneration by repurposing function in unused facilities through case study. In many case of library extension, horizontal extensions are more frequent than vertical extensions, because there are limits to extend vertically due to high live load estimation by book stacks. Extension schemes was organized by new building extension method in connection with existing buildings, attaching method small scaled mass or linear mass to existing building, connecting method a plurality of existing small buildings, vertical extension method on the top of the structure, underground extension method using special structure. Unused facility remodeling to the library, large scaled buildings can be developed completely to the function of the library through the relocation of the space, while small scaled building needs spatial extension. In the case of spatial extension, existing space that was used for other purposes can be used as a reading room or office, avoiding high live load estimation.

  • A multiple criteria model for the facility layout problem considers both of the quantitative, the cost of the work flow, and qualitative, the closeness rating score, aspect. Rosenblatt, Fortenberry & Cox and Urban have developed multiple criteria models that consider both of the quantitative and qualitative aspect. Fortenberry & Cox's multiplicity model penalizes facilities with undesirable closeness rating and high work flows more than those undesirable closeness rating and low work flow between them to contribute to the objective function regardless of the closeness rating between these facilities. In this paper, it is intended to develops a improved multiple-criteria facility layout model considering the function for maintaning the distance between facilities.

  • GIS는 속성자료와 관련하여 공간자료를 다루는데 강력한 수단이다. 그러나 GIS는 동적인 계획문제(dynamic planning problems)를 다루는데 있어서 분석기능과 인터페이스기능이 부족하다. 의사결정지원 체계(Decision Support Systems: DSS)는 그래픽사용자인터페이스(Graphic User Interface: GUI)기능, 모델링기능과 데이터베이스기능을 제공하여 GIS의 부족한 면을 보완한다. DSS의 새로운 분류인 공간의사 결정지원체계(Spatial Decision Support Systems: SDSS)는 공간차원의 문제를 취급할 시 표현기능, 기본적인 분석기능, 그리고 공간, 비공간자료 취급기능과 같은 GIS의 기능과 그래픽사용자인터페이스기능, 모델링기능, 그리고 데이터베이스기능과 같은 DSS의 기능을 통합한다. 계획지원체계(Planning Support Systems: PSS)는 SDSS의 기능에 더 진보된 공간분석기능과 시간기능을 추가한다. 이 연구에서는 GIS, 가치공학(value engineering: VE), 그리고 생애주기비용(life cycle costing: LCC)에 의한 토지이용계획에 따른 상수도관망의 용량확장을 위한 PSS의 구축에 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 이러한 PSS는 토지이용계획에 따른 상수도 필요량을 공급하고 도시성장 규제를 위한 일련의 용량확장대안을 작성하고 도시성장에 연관되는 상수도관망의 투자에 관한 문제를 다룬다.

Mercury Concentration in Urban and Rural Atmospheres of Korea

  • The distribution of airborne mercury was investigated from several districts of Seoul, five other major cities and two rural areas during the period April, 1994 to March, 1995. The method used in this study involves absorption of gaseous mercury on CHromosorb$^R$ A coated with gold and detection by cold vapor atomic absorption spectroscopy. The atmospheric mercury concentrations in Seoul ranged from N.D. to 120.17 ng m$^3$ (mean 27.01 $\pm 9.42 ng m^{-3}, N=139$), while those in rural areas ranged from 1.72 to 8.24 ng $m^{-3} (mean 4.57 \pm 3.07 ng m^{-3}, N=5$). The spatial distribution characteristics of mercury distribution in urban air were examined by comparing mercury levels as a function of the distance from the urban center. Temporal distribution trends of airborne mercury were also studied using the monthly mean mercury data of various districts in Seoul. The atmospheric mercury concentration around Mokdong wastes incinerator in Seoul were also investigated.

중랑천의 수서동물에 관한 생태학적 연구 (An Eclogical Study on the Aquatic Animals in Jungrang Stream of Seoul)

  • Most of urban streams in Korea have been changed channel forms and suffered from direct inflow of domestic sewage, etc. Therefore, maintenance of structure and function of those ecosystem are hard. The present study was carried out to examine the life survival maintenance ability of the stream by community analysis of aquatic animals in typical urban stream (Jungrang stream) in Seoul. The aquatic animals were composed of 31 species, 18 families, 8 orders, 5 classes in 4 phyla. Seasonal species number showed big fluctuation between 8 species in Winter and 24 species in Autumn. Major dominant species in Jungrang stream were Tubificidae sp.1, Chironomidae sp.1, Chironomidae sp.2 and Physa acuta, and above endurance species for water pollution occupied very high dominance indices. But, Cercion hieroglyphicum, Ischnura asiatica, Rantra chinensis, Herochares striatus, Agabus japonicus in benthic macroinvertebrates of a few individuals are appeared. Also, fry of Carassius auratus and Silurus asotus in fish are occurred. Therefore, we can be inferred on posibility of growth and spawning of above species in the stream. Jungrang stream has a small quantity of natural riffle areas, ponds and watergrass areas by channel form of water course. Aquatic animals in Jungrang stream has been suffered by reduction of self-purification reaction ability and have mass production of attached algae on the stream bed. For analysis of fluctuation of life survival maintenance ability in Jungrang stream, long-term survey is needed.

  • Public transportation network in our country is concentrated and advanced focusing on urban area in order to secure economic feasibility. As a result, as dependence on private vehicles is relatively getting higher in public transportation vulnerable area, traffic problem occurs since the average running speed in urban area is 22.5km/h. This paper has an objective to suggest an improvement plan by selecting public transportation vulnerable area, and defining according to urban structure, formation and function, and understand traffic characteristics and draw problems. As a method selecting public transportation vulnerable area, an area with high division rate of vehicle was selected as a primary proposed site by calculating division rate of means of public transportation according to area. Final proposed site was selected by using GIS Buffering technique aiming at selected proposed site, and selecting non-benefit area 500m outside, which is the road limit distance from each subway and bus station. Lastly, the degree of improvement effect was studied by constructing imaginary public transportation network aiming at final proposed site and comparing to the amount of change in division rate of means of transportation.

최적인구와 통행량분포가 도시규모의 변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effects of Changes in the Optimal Population Density and Traffic Volume Impact of Urban Size)

  • 본 연구는 도시규모 확장에 따른 최적인구규모를 추정하고 지역간 통행량 분포를 통해 도시규모의 변화를 1기 신도시 건설의 사례를 통해 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 수도권 지역의 소득 및 지출함수, 그리고 적정인구수준의 분석과 거리별 통행량 증감에 따른 도시규모 확장과 지역경제 활성화의 가능 여부를 계측하였다. 연구 결과로서 도시규모 확장과 지역경제 활성화는 기종점에 관계없이 통행목적의 기점과 통행량은 반비례 관계에 있음을 추정할 수 있다. 약 20~40km 지점을 전후로 한 지역을 중심으로 통행량이 증가하는 경향이 있는 것으로 도출되었다. 따라서 이 구역을 중심으로 신도시를 건설하는 것이 지리적, 기능적으로 효과적이라고 평가할 수 있다.

  • Since 1970's rapid urbanization and economic growth, the population was highly increased and residential type was changed from single detached house to high density and high-rise apartment. Recently more high-rise residential building generates more traffic volumes and it makes spatial concentration. The highly traffic volumed road and high residential building was constructed nearby, it occurs noise problem. The purpose of this study is comparing the performance of three type noise barrier between noise source and receiver using a noise map simulation. Three types were composed as road side planting trees, building side planting trees and noise barrier wall. Planting trees is less effective than noise barrier wall as a noise barrier. And they are all effective under 3 stories than over 5 stories, especially noise barrier function can't work over 5 stories.

  • 본 연구는 도시 재래시장의 기능과, 시장이 점유하는 공간을 도시의 다른 활동과 공유할 수 있는 가능성을 고찰하고 이를 위하여 필요한 계획요소와 공간계획방법을 바탕으로 성남시 모란 민속5일장 계획안을 제시하고자 하는 연구이다. 이를 위하여 기존의 재래시장이 갖고 있는 문제점과 그 개선방안을 살펴보고, 이를 건축 프로그램과 공간구성요소로 정리하며, 본 연구의 대상인 성남 모란시장의 특성인 5일마다 열리는 정기시장으로서의 시장의 기능과 시장이 열리지 않는 기간 동안의 공간 활용을 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 계획요소를 구체화하여, 도시 공공공간으로서의 모란 민속5일장 계획안을 제시한다.

The Composition and Characteristics of the Coastal Space of Chongqing: An Interpretative Study Based on the Ten-year Draft Construction Plan of the Alternate Capital

  • This study focused on the buildings, wharves, and parks of the coastal space of Chongqing based on the ten-year construction draft plan of the alternate capital. From an investigation of these three components according to their type, structure, terrain, function, spatial layer, and so on, the following conclusions were drawn: The coastal space of Chongqing is composed of three different layers. The first and second layers consisted of the two-river intersection basin with the transportation and commemorative space at the center, the Yangtze River basin with the commercial space at the center, and the Jialing River with the military and recreational space at the center. The third-layer is centered around the commemorative space. The coastal space of Chongqing manifested the limitations of the times, its traditionality, and an integrated development process.
