Calculation method about the water temperature variable inside hot water pipe had proposed in the past does not correspond with branch pipe system, variable of water volume, variable of entrance water temperature, using and so on. A calculation method proposed in this paper can solve above problems, and calculate the kinds variation of the water temperature inside pipe in the real use state of the hot water pipe.
The purpose of this study was to analyze of Information-related subjects on industry department of college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan. These were compared with information-related foundation and data-technology foundation, programming on industry department test of vocational education area in college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan and suggest implications of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Based on the results of study, the following recommendations were made for new direction of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. First, Information-related foundation on industry department of National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of basic informations of agricultural, industry, commercial department etc. of vocational education area. Similarly it is necessary to introduce 'computer-related foundation' consist of common contents of several departments of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Second, it is necessary to diverse sub-item situations different from main item situations and introduce diverse situations of set type items of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Third, test for National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of several types items like this selecting answers on multi-answer group. it is necessary to introduce short answer type, completion type and supply type of college scholastic ability test in Korea.
This research suggests a solution to the problem of excessive shadow education in Korea as a way to compare the shadow education and income redistribution programs of advanced welfare states. The government has introduced a variety of measures to overcome the problem of excessive shadow education for a long time. However, the trend of increasing shadow education costs has not stopped. The excessive use of shadow education is definitely related to university entrance. But university entrance is not the only concern. In our country, the meaning of university is closely related to the standard of future life. Therefore, participation in shadow education is a reasonable choice by parents or students to ensure a stable future. The belief that the future life can be stabilized when you go to a prestigious university and the reality in the labor market, which reflects this belief, is the essential cause of excessive shadow education. Advanced welfare states such as Sweden and Germany provide hope for our nation. There are shadow education in these countries, too. However, the importance is not so great and its roles are not necessarily directly related to college entrance exams. For the income redistribution programs guarantee the life of all members of society at a certain level. The solution to the problem of excessive shadow education is not the admission system but the improvement of the income security system.

Tides at both of northern and southern entrances of Kamag Bay were compared by deploying tide gauges for 18 days during July-August 1994. To examine the response of the inner bay to the tidal waves through both entrances, a current meter was moored at the eastern pan of the inner bay. Current meter mooring failed at the northern entrance (Yosu) while the current data was collected for only 5 days at the southern site (Songdo). Maximum range was 357 and 352 cm at Yosu and Songdo, respectively. Respective amplitudes for M2, S2 Kl O1 tides of 95.5, 48.8, 20.5, 14.0cm at Yosu and 93.6, 47.2, 21.3, 13.1cm at Songdo yielded the form numbers of 0.23 and 0.24, respectively, both of which belong to the predominantly semidiurnal tide, Contributions from the overtides and compound tides were less than $4\%^ at both sites. Differences in Greenwich phase of major partial tides between two sites were negligible. Maximum speed of tidal current was about 100cm/sec at the southern entrance and about 40cm/sec at the inner bay. Residual current speed was 17cm/sec southwestward at the southern entrance and 0.9cm/sec southeastward at the inner bay. Temporal change in current at the inner bay showed that the wind had a significant influence upon the circulation in Kamag Bay.

The mutation rate of proline in the position 197 (Pro197) in acetohydroxy acid synthase (AHAS) is highest among sulfonylurea (SU) herbicide-resistance mutants. Therefore, it is significant to investigate the resistance mechanism for the mutation and to develop the herbicides specific to the mutants. SU herbicide resistance mechanism of the mutants, 197Ser, 197Thr and 197Ala, in AHAS were targeted for designing new SU-herbicide. We did molecular dynamics (MD) simulation for understanding SU herbicide-resistance mechanisms of AHAS mutants and designed new herbicides with docking and MD evaluations. We have found that mutation to 197Ala and 197Ser enlarged the entrance of the active site, while 197Thr contracted. Map of the root mean square derivation (RMSD) and radius gyrations (Rg) revealed the domain indicating the conformations for herbicide resistant. Based on the enlarging-contracting mechanism of active site entrance, we designed new herbicides with substitution at the heterocyclic moiety of a SU herbicide for the complementary binding to the changed active site entrances of mutants, and designed new herbicides. We confirmed that our screened new herbicides bonded to both AHAS wild type and mutants with higher affinity, showing more stable binding conformation than the existing herbicides.
The purpose of this research is to evaluate teachers' perception of Korean's achievement standard-based testing system (ASTS) and its process of implementation, and to propose a method of evaluating students' academic aptitude based on university entrance examinations. The core of the 2015 Revised National Curriculum is asserted by changes in classroom instruction, specifically encouraging students' participation in class based on a new method to evaluate student achievement. A total of 124 teachers in charge of student career counseling in middle and high schools in the Jeonbuk province participated in the study. The schools implementing the new method of ASTS were using 61.6% for unit school cut-off point, as opposed to the existing fixed cut-off point of 38.4%. The teachers understanding of the achievement evaluation method was rated 3.54 on the 5-point Likert scale, implying that they had a relatively good understanding of the method. Some of the challenges associated with reflecting the scores from the new student ASTS include difficulty of comparing scores across schools; grade inflation; advantages and disadvantages associated with the type of high school; and the increased importance of university entrance examination. In the ASTS, the fairness during the evaluation of the high school grades and the consequently the reliability of the evaluation prove worrying. As an ultimate result, selecting students based on university admissions data became untrustworthy. There should be further discussions on how students' achievement obtained from the new ASTS should be applied during the university admission process and how students' academic aptitude can be assessed in order to set a direction for secondary school education.

Research groups in the field of PET instrumentation are studying time-of-flight(TOF) technology to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of PET images. Scintillation light transport and collection plays an important role in improving the coincidence resolving time(CRT) of PET detector based on a pixelated crystal array. Four crystal arrays were designed by the different optical reflection configuration such as external reflectors and surface treatment on the CRT and compared with the light output, energy resolution and CRT. The design proposed in the study was composed of 8 × 8 LYSO crystal array consisted of 3 × 3 × 15 mm3 pixels. The entrance side was roughened while the other five surfaces were polished. Four sides of all crystal pixels were wrapped with ESR-film, and the entrance surface was covered by Teflon-tape. The design provided an excellent timing resolution of 210 ps and improved the CRT by 16% compared to the conventional method using a polishing treatment and ESR-film. This study provided a method for improving the light output and CRT of a pixelated scintillation crystal-based brain TOF PET detector. The proposed configuration might be an attractive detector design for TOF brain PET requiring fast timing performance with high cost-effectiveness.

Also, those students' and the high school science teacher's opinions about the tests and the new college entrance exam were surveyed. The evaluation objectives of those test items were analyzed and the test item analyses were done. The natural science course students had significantly higher mean than the humanities course students in all of the test:(1st, F=12.643, p=0.0004 ; 2nd, F=45.757, p=0.0001 ; 3rd, F=36.162, p=0.0001). A significant interaction of sex and course was found in only 1st test( F=11.352. p=0.0008). (3) Most students answered the test was difficult and they needed more time to finish it Also, they added they had to study in a different way from the traditional one in order to prepare the new college entrance exam. Science teachers answered that those evaluation objectives of the tests corresponded well with the educational objectives of high school science and that the tests were suitable as measuring instruments of the scientific thinking abilities. But they pointed out it would be very difficult for them to teach students for preparing the exam under the exsting educational conditions. To carry out successfully the competency exam for college education, the following improvements were suggested. (1) Good evaluation methodology should be developed. (2) In-service science teacher training models on evaluation should be put in force. (3) Effective teaching models and strategies should be developed.(4) The high school science curriculum should be revised.

This study is for understanding differences of satisfaction followed by learning and teaching presence perceived by learners and participation motivation on learning in a distance education. General characteristics of learner are classified as an entrance type, sex, age, new/transfer of distance university learners. Perceived presence is classified with learning presence and teaching presence. Participation motivation on learning is classified with the directivity of activity, goal, and study based on the reason of participating in classes in a distance university. And this research tried out to find the effects of learner's characteristics, perceived presence, and participation motivation on learning satisfaction. The results are as follows. First, there was no meaningful difference of general characteristic on satisfaction. It means sex, age, and entrance type did not have an effect on satisfaction. Second, with the level of presence perceived by learner, satisfaction has meaningful differences. It means that students who had higher learning presence perceived of distance university showed higher satisfaction, and so as in teaching presence perceived on satisfaction. Third, factors effecting satisfaction based on participation motivation on learning differ with types of motivation. There was no meaningful difference of the level of activity directivity study participant on satisfaction, but was a meaningful difference of goal directivity and of study directivity in participation motivation on learning satisfaction. It was the learning presence that had a significant effect on learning satisfaction of adult learning.
Cave on the Moon is considered as the most appropriate place for human to live during the frontier lunar exploration. While the lava flows, the outer crust gets cooled and solidified. Then, the empty space is remained inside after lava flow stops. Such empty space is called the lava caves. Those lava tubes on the Earth are formed mostly by volcanic activity. However, the lava tubes on satellite like Moon and planet like Mars without volcanic activity are mostly formed by the lava flow inside of the crater made by large meteorite impact. Some part of lava tube with collapsed ceiling appears as the entrance of the cave. Such area looks like a deep crater so called a pit crater. Four large pit craters with diameter of > 60 m and depth of > 40 m are found without difficulty from Kaguya and LRO mission image archives. However, those are too deep to use as easily accessible human frontier base. Therefore, now we are going to identify some smaller lunar caves with accessible entrances using LRO camera images of 0.5 m/pixel resolution. Earth's lava caves and their entrances are well photographed by surface and aerial camera in immense volume. Thus, if the image data are sorted and archived well, those images can be used in comparison with the less distinct lunar cave and entrance images due to its smaller size. Then, we can identify the regions on the Moon where there exist caves with accessible entrances. The database will be also useful in modeling geomorphology for lunar and Martian caves for future artificial intelligence investigation of the caves in any size.
