Purpose: Few studies have considered the psychosocial work environment factors in relation to employee health. This study explored the relationship between psychosocial work characteristics and self-rated health among Korean employees. Methods: The study population of 21,476 employees was derived from the 2014 Korean Work Environment Survey (KWES). Psychosocial work environment was measured by Copenhagen psychosocial questionnaire scales. Results: Among employees at workplaces (n=21,476), 23.3% rated their health as poor. Among 12 indicators of psychosocial work environment characteristics, 'higher emotional demand', 'demands for hiding emotions', 'work-family conflict', and 'social community at work' were independently associated with risk of poor self-rated health of Korean employees after adjustment of all sociodemographics, work condition characteristics and physical work environment exposure. In addition, higher 'possibilities for development' and 'social support from supervisor' were more likely to decrease the risk of poor health. Conclusion: We suggest that psychosocial work environment is an important determinant of employees' health. The study results provide a good starting point for developing intervention and strategies for health improvement.

This study considered network quotient (NQ) of deluxe hotel employees and schematized characteristic attributes of being selected by employees with image through correspondence analysis in terms of cognition degree. Self-administrated questionnaires were completed by employees (292 samples) and data were analysed by frequency, t-test, one-way ANOVA, reliability and correspondence analysis. First, the hotel employees indicated the high average value in "participating in special education or seminar for improving ability ($3.85{\pm}0.76$). Second, as a result of analyzing difference according to gender, the average value in men was higher than in women. It was indicated that the higher age and career lead to a rise even in the average value of relationship index. Third, in consequence of carrying out correspondence analysis in order to prepare image map according to cognition level on relationship index in hotel employees, the measurement item that is placed in the closest distance to the response as saying of not so very was the response as saying of "having a lunch (dinner) engagement twice or three times a week." The purposes of this study were to assess the nutrition service importance and performance level in views of industrial employees and to explore the ways to improve the nutrition service quality. A survey of industrial foodservice operations scatterly located in Korea was undertaken and detailed information was collected from each, including surveys of 1,002 industrial employees. Statistical data analysis was using SAS PC 6.04 for descriptive analysis, t-test, and analysis of variance. The whole industrial employees assessed the importance and performance of the dieticians' role on nutrition service as '4.03' and '3.32' out of 5 respectively, which suggests that the industrial nutrition service needs to be improved. The variables which received higher scores than the average mean were safe meal provision, sanitation management and equipment & facilities management, whereas the score of individual nutrition counselling was low compared to other variables of nutrition service. Dietician's performance level scored by industrial employees was statistically correlated with the effect of industrial foodservice(p<0.01). The groups who scored low performance were characterized by labor work, experience with less than 10 years, single, aged below 29 years old, and female.
