본 연구는 우리나라 개화기 이후 해방될 때까지 근대 시기에 발행된 한국기독교 관련 자료를 다수 소장하고 있는 S대학교 한국기독교박물관의 자료목록을 분석하여 이를 대상으로 디지털 아카이브 시스템을 구축하는데 목적이 있다. 한국 근대 시기의 기독교자료에 관한 디지털 아카이브 시스템 구축을 위해 대상 자료에 대한 색인과 메타데이터를 형식에 맞게 작성하였다. 선별된 자료를 디지털화한 후, 메타데이터 정보를 이용하여 데이터베이스를 구축하였고, 실제 시스템은 웹 표준 기반의 관리시스템과 이용자서비스시스템으로 나누어 구축하였다. 디지털 아카이브의 원활한 이용을 위해 내용기반의 검색시스템을 구축하였으며, 한 글자 단위의 검색결과 매칭값을 제공하고 검색어 자동완성 기능을 구현함으로써 이용자의 편의성을 제고하였다. 이를 통해 원문접근이 어려운 박물관 자료를 손쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 디지털화하여 제공함으로써 인문학 콘텐츠의 장기적 발전의 토대를 마련하여 연구자 및 대중들의 자료 접근성 및 활용성을 제고할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.

Un jour, à la fin d'un symposium autour du célèbre film « La Bataille d'Alger » de Pontecorvo, quelqu'un a dit que l'histoire véridique était trop difficile à retrouver (à savoir ce qu'il s'était vraiment passé), il fallait donc la créer (dans le sens d'inventer). J'étais si surpris par cette conclusion anti-historique que je n'ai pu répondre. Nous pouvons faire l'histoire au présent par nos actions, mais ce qui a été fait est fait, et restera historique autant que possible dans la mesure où des historiens sérieux et libres pourront faire leur travail. Max Stirner a dit « Nous ne pouvons être libre de tout, mais nous pouvons tenter de faire nos écrits aussi libres que nous sommes ». Si nous rapportons cette idée à l'Histoire, cela veut dire que ce n'est pas parce que l'histoire est le résultat des recherches faites par des humains qu'elle doit être faussée. L'homme est faillible mais il est aussi perfectible. En tant qu'historien du cinéma, les questions importantes sont de savoir ce qui constitue une archive, (le Mal d'archive de Derrida, qui développe la pensée sur la constitution de la connaissance selon Foucault, intervient très à propos, ici) et comment les utiliser, dans les films en particulier, fiction ou documentaire.

종래의 문화유산 디지털 아카이브는 사지이나 자료를 디지털화하여 보관되고 있는 것이 대부분이었으나, 최근에는 3차원 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 3차원 디지털 아카이브의 구축이 확산되고 있다. 이러한 차원에서, 본 연구는 가상현실(Virtual Reality:VR)기술을 이용한 3차원 디지털 아카이브 열람 시스템의 개발에 관한 내용들로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구의 목적은, 이용자가 보존된 아카이브의 열람을 통하여 문화유산을 보다 쉽게 이해하고 지식을 습득할 수 있는 시스템의 개발이다. 시스템 개발에 활용된 기술은 DirectX기술의 가상현실이며, 각 콘텐츠의 이해를 돕기 위하여 두 가지 이상의 콘텐츠를 같은 화면에 제시하여 비교하면서 볼 수 있는 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 이러한 시스템은 터키공화국의 Gemiler섬에 있는 교회의 데이터를 이용하여 현재 남아있는 유적과 창건당시의 모습을 복원하여 비교하면서 콘텐츠에 대한 이해를 높이고 보다 많은 지식을 얻을 수 있도록 구축되었다.

이 연구에서는 국립중앙도서관이 구축 운영하는 웹 아카이브인 OASIS 콘텐츠의 특성과 문제점을 살펴보았다. 2011년 5월 20일부터 6월 10일 사이 OASIS 웹사이트를 통해 제공되는 주제별 디렉토리에서 철학, 종교 등 5개 주제와 사회과학과 기술과학 소주제의 수집 웹사이트 55종 및 '최신 자료'와 '많이 본 자료' 리스트를 분석하였다. OASIS는 수집 콘텐츠의 주제 분포의 편중, 웹사이트 저작자/발행자 권위 및 학술적 가치의 근거 미약, 아카이빙 대상의 정의 부적합, 수집 및 이용 통계 처리의 모호성 등 문제점이 나타났고, 이에 대한 포괄적이며 체계적인 개선책 마련이 시급한 상황이다.

The objectives of this paper are to examine some of the factors which may account for the rise in predominance of British textile manufacture in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This paper identifies a range of important eighteenth century British inventions and associated developments, such as the 'factory' system, which stimulated expansion in textile manufacture in the British Isles and led to the rise in international importance of various 'heritage textile industries', including the Lancashire cotton industry, the Yorkshire woollen and worsted industry, the Dundee jute industry and the Irish linen industry.

세계적으로 아카이브를 둘러싼 큰 변화로 지역 공동체 아카이브의 등장과 아카이브 예술의 확산을 볼 수 있다. 한 걸음 더 나아가 아카이브 예술이 지역 공동체 아카이브에 접목되는 경우들이 근래 국내에 늘고 있다. 이 연구는 아카이브 예술이 실제 지역공동체 아카이브로서 기능할 수 있는지와 기능한다면 어떠한 특징을 가지는지를 탐색해 보고자 한다. 이를 위해 《경기 아카이브_지금,》(2018)과 《성북도큐멘타》(2014~2020)의 3~5회(2016~2018) 전시 사례를 분석하였다. 경기의 지역 정체성 강화를 목표에 둔 경기아카이브와 소실될 위험에 처한 한옥이나 상가아파트에 대한 아카이빙 작업이 수행된 성북도큐멘타에서 나타난 아카이브 예술 활동을 분석함으로써 아카이브 예술의 수행과 활용 과정에서 나타나는 예술가의 역할과 아카이빙 작업의 다양성을 파악하고, 지역의 정체성 구성 및 장소성 재발견의 전략과 효과를 살펴보았다. 아카이브 예술은 공동체 아카이브의 흐름을 확장하고 다양한 창작적 활용을 진작시킬 수 있는 가능성을 갖고 있지만, 지역공동체 아카이브로 기능함에 있어 기억의 보존체로서뿐만 아니라 새로운 지식과 담론 생산의 계기로 활용되기 위한 필요성이 제기되었다.

This paper presents an efficient algorithm to retrieve similar music files from a large archive of digital music database. Users are able to navigate and discover new music files which sound similar to a given query music file by searching for the archive. Since most of the methods for finding similar music files from a large database requires on computing the distance between a given query music file and every music file in the database, they are very time-consuming procedures. By measuring the acoustic distance between the pre-classified music files with the same type of emotion, the proposed method significantly speeds up the search process and increases the precision in comparison with the brute-force method.

We investigate the narrow emission-line ratios of 64 radio-loud (log $L_{1.4GHz}$ > 40) AGNs available in the SDSS archive, in order to examine whether there is a systematic difference in the accretion disk condition of radio-loud AGNs compared to radio-quiet AGNs and compact young radio-loud AGNs. The fluxes of narrow-emission lines, [O II], [Ne III], [O III], [O I], [Ar III], are measured for diagnostics. Based on the [O I]/[O III] and [Ar III]/[O III] ratios with photoionization models, we constrain the states of the accretion disk. We will present the results of the emission-line diagnostics.

We have developed a method that enables a user to better understand and enjoy the contents of 3D digital archives, thereby enhancing the user's experience. The system's interactive interface, built using virtual reality technology, enables the user to "walk through" the archives, comparing two or the same content at different points in time. For example, a user can compare the proposed design for a building with the actual building and can compare the states of restoration of a cultural heritage site over time. This ability to perform multilateral comparisons enables the user to clarify the relationship between contents, the influence of one content on another, and the causal relationship between contents. Testing of a prototype system for a 3D digital archive of cultural heritage sites showed that it worked smoothly and that the users could easily operate the navigation system.

A cabin for Mr. and Mrs. Popenoe of 1922 was designed by the eminent Los Angeles architect, Rudolph M. Schindler. It stands out as an early exemplar of Schindler's most notable work in its unique employment of compositional strategy. Unfortunately, the cabin was demolished before an in-depth research was executed. In addition, there remains no documentary record with regard to the construction process, structural details and the use of materials of the built cabin. However, a set of drawings of the house are housed in the Schindler Archive. Reworking drawings and fabricating a scale model based on the materials obtained from the Archive, this article first depicts the evolution of the design, and then, attempts to investigate underlying principles governing the spatial composition of the cabin.
