Proportional-integral-derivative(P1D) controllers have been still widely used in industrial processes due to their
simplicity, effectiveness, robustness for a wide range of operating conditions, and the familiarity of control engineers.
And a number of recent papers in fuzzy systems are showing that fuzzy systems are universal approximators.
That is, fuzzy controllers are capable of approximating any real continuous function on a compact set of arbitrary
accuracy.
In this paper, we derive the linear PID control law from the fuzzy control algorithm where all fuzzy sets for
representing plant state variables and a control variable use common triangular types. We first lead a linear PD
control law from a fuzzy logic control with only two fuzzy sets for error and change-of-error. And then we derive
the linear PID control law from a fuzzy controller. We here assumed that the intervals of error, change-of-error,
and integral error could be partitioned into arbitrary numbers, respectively. As a result, a linear PID controller is
only a sort of various fuzzy logic controls.

PURPOSE. Plasma activation of hydrophobic zirconia surfaces might be suitable to improve the bond strength of luting materials. The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of nonthermal argon-plasma on the shear bond strength (SBS) between zirconia and different combinations of 10-MDP adhesive systems and luting composites after artificial aging. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Two hundred forty Y-TZP specimens were ground automatically with $165{\mu}m$ grit and water cooling. Half of the specimens received surface activation with nonthermal argon-plasma. The specimens were evenly distributed into three groups according to the adhesive systems ([Futurabond U, Futurabond M, Futurabond M + DCA], VOCO GmbH, Germany, Cuxhaven) and into further two subgroups according to the luting materials ([Bifix SE, Bifix QM], VOCO GmbH). Each specimen underwent artificial aging by thermocycling and water storage. SBS was measured in a universal testing machine. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA and $Scheff{\grave{e}}$ procedure with the level of significance set to 0.05. RESULTS. Surface activation with nonthermal plasma did not improve the bond strength between zirconia and the tested combinations of adhesive systems and luting materials. The plasma-activation trended to reveal higher bond strength if the self-etch luting material (Bifix SE) was used, irrespective of the adhesive system. CONCLUSION. Plasma-activation seems to be suitable to improve bond strength between zirconia and self-etch resin materials. However, further research is necessary to identify the influence of varying plasma-parameters.
Purpose: This study is to compare the flexural strength and modulus by inserting a mesh and stick type fiberglass reinforcement into resin specimens. Methods: Wax specimens (length 64 mm, width 39 mm, thickness 5 mm) are prepared according to ISO 20795-1:2013. Mesh type and stick type glass fiber reinforcements were prepared. The prepared wax specimens were used plaster and flask for investment. The flask was separated and the wax was removed. The heat curing resin was injected into the flask, and then a mesh type and stick type fiberglass reinforcement were inserted. The prepared resin specimen was cut into three equal parts (length 64 mm, width 10 mm, thickness 3.3 mm). The mesh type glass fiber reinforcement (MT group) and the stick type glass fiber reinforcement (ST group) were classified into two groups. The prepared specimen was measured using a universal testing machine (UTM). The data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test, and the significance level was set to 0.05. Results: In the flexural strength, the ST group was higher than the MT group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05). In the flexural modulus, the ST group was higher than the MT group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: The stick-type glass fiber inreased the flexural strength than the mesh-type glass fiber reinforcement.

The effect of multiple process parameters on a set of continuous response variables is, especially in experimental designs, difficult and intricate to determine. Due to the complexity in aeroacoustic and vibroacoustic studies, the often-performed simple one-factor-at-a-time method turns out to be the least effective approach. In contrast, the statistical Design of Experiments is a technique used with the objective to maximize the obtained information while keeping the experimental effort at a minimum. The presented work aims at giving insights on Design of Experiments applied to aeroacoustic and vibroacoustic problems while comparing different experimental designs and approximation models. For this purpose, an experimental rig of a ducted low-pressure fan is developed that allows gathering data of both, aerodynamic and aeroacoustic nature while analysing three independent process parameters. The experimental designs used to sample the design space are a Central Composite design and a Box-Behnken design, both used to model a response surface regression, and Latin Hypercube sampling to model an Artificial Neural network. The results indicate that Latin Hypercube sampling extracts information that is more diverse and, in combination with an Artificial Neural network, outperforms the quadratic response surface regressions. It is shown that the Latin Hypercube sampling, initially developed for computer-aided experiments, can also be used as an experimental design. To further increase the benefit of the presented approach, spectral information of every experimental test point is extracted and Artificial Neural networks are chosen for modelling the spectral information since they show to be the most universal approximators.

This study has been done to review the historical development of the cataloging system of books with emphasis on those in England and the U. S. The findings can be summarized as follows: (1) In 1844, Sir Panizzi invented what seems to be the first of its kind in history to list the inventory systematically at the British Museum. It is believed to be a complete system consisting of 91 articles. (2) A comparatively systematic system was developed in America by Jewett. in 1852. Composed of only 39 articles, the system is considered a renovative one worked out with due regard to the infrastructure of a library. (3) In 1876, a classic system based on a lexicographical order was set up by Cutter. Rated as the best one that was designed by an individual, the theory has since exercised widespreading effects on cataloging. (4) American and British library scientists collaborated in printing several editions of numerous volumes on the principles of classification, but they are not believed fully successful in establishing a consistent and compressive system. Their efforts found significance rather in their being the first international collaboration and setting a foundation upon which the international system of today has been developed. (5) The ALA Rule, published concurrently in ALA and LC in 1949, had two parts in its classification, the list of authors and that of titles. Its scientific classification has completed the cataloging of books in its developmental stage. (6) The 1967 American-British Rules integrated the cataloging systems published under separate covers by authors and titles. The system as well as the 1961 Paris System has greatly contributed to the standardization of bibliographical description throughout the English-speaking countries. The International Standard Book Description standardized Bibliographic system has enabled the librarians in different countries to exchange their bibliographical sources easily, helped to overcome the language barrier in listing and contributed to the efficient reading of bibliographical records through machines. (7) The second edition of the Angelo-American cataloging Rules, promulgated in 1978 under the influence of the international standard bibliographical description, was the one in which all the previous Rules were revised to have their strong points. The adoption of punctuation system to employ the computerized data processing and the standardization of description are expected to improve the cataloging system not only in the English speaking countries but in the Universal Bibliographic Control as well.
PURPOSE. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of 3 silicone primers and 3 surface characterization of acrylic resin surface on bond strength between silicone elastomer and acrylic resin. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 96 Cosmesil silicones bonded to heat-curing acrylic resin were fabricated with the dimension of $75{\times}10{\times}3$ mm. The 3 primers used in this study were G611 platinum primer, A-330 Gold platinum primer, and cyanoacrylates resin. Specimens without primer were used as control. The 3 types of surface characterization done were retentive holes with 1.5 mm in diameter and 0.5 mm deep, retentive beads of 0.6 mm diameter and the third type which was plain without any characterization. The specimens were then checked for bond strength by subjecting them to $180^{\circ}$ peel test on a universal testing machine. The obtained results were then subjected to statistical analysis using 2-way ANOVA and Scheff$\acute{e}$ multiple post hoc procedures. The statistical significance was set at 5% level of significance. RESULTS. The maximum bond strength was seen for samples in which A-330G primer was used followed by G611 primer. The control group showed the minimum bond strength. Surface characterization of retentive holes increased the bond strength considerably as compared to retentive beads and samples without any surface characterization. CONCLUSION. Within the limitations of the study, A-330G primer was more compatible with Cosmesil M511 silicone and has better bonding of Cosmesil to acrylic resin. Retentive holes made on acrylic surface increased the bond strength considerably than those without any surface characterization.

Ground reaction force (GRF) measures are one of the most commonly used in biomechanical study. GRF system is very useful educational tool to explain and demonstrate the Newton's law of universal gravitation and laws of motion as well. However, accuracy, intra- and inter- force platform measures' consistency, reliability, noise, and the effect of platform mounting to GRF measures were not clearly viewed. The aim of this study was to examine the above. GRFs of a plastic dummy and two subjects' quiet upright standing were collected at four university laboratories eight force platforms. The types of platforms, analysis programs, and platform set-up were various. Three 100s-trials were conducted with sampling frequency of 100 Hz. First two trials' vertical component of GRFs, Fz, and CoP sway ranges of mid-60s-portion of 100s trials were analyzed by the paired t-tests and one-way ANOVA. Six of eight platforms' 1st and 2nd trial dummy Fz were statistically different (p<.05) and all platforms ICC were poor (<.28). Fz of the two platforms in every four laboratories were statistically different (p<.05). There were white noises and/or very distinctive noises at specific frequency ranges in all Fz measures. 5 Hz low-pass filtering made clear the Fz differences. CoP ranges of dummy were less than 0.5 cm and the best was 0.02 cm. This CoP range finding agrees with previous results suggests the importance of force platform mounting and A/D card resolution.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of surface treatment on the flexural strength of glass ionomer cement with time elapsed. Glass ionomer cement (Fuji ionomer type II, (GC Co.) was used as experimental materials. Glass ionomer cement was placed in a beam-shaped teflon mold (3mm ${\times}$ 3mm ${\times}$ 25mm) that was rest on a glass plate. Another flat glass was placed on the top of the mold with pressure. After the cement was set, the specimens were divided into three groups and thirty two specimens in each group were surface-treated as follows: No treatment group: Specimens were no surface-treated and stored at $35.6^{\circ}C$ in distilled water. Fuji varnish application (FA) group: Specimens were surface-treated with Fuji varnish (GC Co.) and stored at $35.6^{\circ}C$ in distilled water. Vaseline storage (VS) group: Specimens were no surface-treated and stored at $35.6^{\circ}C$ in vaseline. The flexural strength was measured after I day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks from the start of mixing using Instron Universal Testing Instruments. Results were as follows: 1. After 4 weeks, vaseline storage group exhibited the maximum flexural strength (p <0.0005). 2. The flexural strengths in no treatment group were slightly increased with time elapsed, but its difference was not significant, statistically. 3. The flexural strengths in Fuji varnish application group were increased with time elapsed (p <0.05). 4. The flexural strengths in Fuji varnish application group and vaseline storage group were greater than that in no treatment group (p <0.0005).

This study measured the mechanical and damping properties of EPDM compounds including fillers. Semi-reinforcing furnace black (SRF), high abrasion furnace black (HAF) and acetylene black were used as fillers. Dicumyl peroxide (DCP) were used as curing agents. The measurements were conducted using a moving die rheometer (MDR), durometer, universal testing machine (UTM), compression set and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The tensile strength and elongation at break increased with increasing SRF contents in EPDM compounds. However, they decreased with increasing the amount of acetylene black. In the inspecting temperature range, EPDM compound filled acetylene black had stable storage modulus. Furthermore, the tan ${\delta}$ of the EPDM compounds obtained was enhanced by compounding with acetylene black.
We are so used to the concept of the term 'space' that we do not question its conceptual validity. However, this paper argues that the notion of space prevailing all over the world, is not a universal concept that can be applicable to all architectures of the world, but is a particular concept that is generated from the Western way of thinking. This paper alms to identify the conceptual structure of the idea of space as it is originated in the tradition of the West, and, as an alternative view of space, tries to identify the nature of the view of space perceived in the tradition of the Eastern architecture. Comparison of the two views, that of the East and the West, and their meaning in the future of architecture, is another task to discuss in this paper. To be able to clarify the meaning of space in East Asian tradition, a set of new perspective of understanding of space was invited. They are ; 1. sky-earth(天地); insisting that the notion of space should be replaced within the context of sky, which is one half of sky-earth totality 2. energy of the air (空氣), space is not empty part inside of a building, but is a dynamic condition of air that is a part of the sky which always exist in form of energy 3. place(자리): instead of space, which, basically. is a man-made concept, idea of place is necessary, which include not only space but also earth Such concept of space which is different from the notion of space of the West, is meaningful not only to identify the idea of space in the East, but also to be able to contribute for more dynamic, varied, and balanced understanding of space.
