Analysis of the Travel Distance in the Multiple-load Carrying Automated Guided Vehicle Systems (다부하를 운반하는 무인운반차시스템에서 운반거리의 분석)

  • This paper is to analyze the travel distance and the transport size of the vehicle when the AGV carries multiple-load in the tandem automated guided vehicle systems. The size of multiple-load represents the number of load that the AGV can carry simultaneously. The AGV can carry simultaneously multiple-load that load types are different. The transport system of the manufacturing system is a tandem configuration automated guided vehicle system, which is based on the partitioning of all the stations into several non-overlapping single closed loops. Each loop divided has only one vehicle traveling unidirectionally around it. The AGV of each loop has to have sufficient transport capacity that can carry all loads for given unit time. In this paper, the average loaded travel distance and the size of feasible multiple-load of the vehicle are analyzed. A numerical example is shown.

  • The present study has been conducted to study the performance of dedicated outdoor air handling unit in central and personal air-conditioning. With conventional central and personal air-conditioning systems which are designed according to the maximum load, humidity increase above comfort level can not be avoided as the cooling load decreases. The adoption of dedicated outdoor air handling unit, however, can solve this problem. Moreover, the dedicated outdoor air handling unit has the characteristics of anti-bacteria due to dry coil, energy saving and good indoor air quality. During cooling seasons, dedicated outdoor air handling unit can save energy up to 30% than the conventional cooling+reheating system for controlling both temperature and humidity.

  • The new HVAC system to lower the conveyance energy and building height using IAV (Increasing Air Volume) technique is developed. IAV units which are equipped in each zone carry out air-conditioning and supply fresh air by induction of outdoor air in main duct. The design program which decides size of OAHU and IAV unit according to air conditioning load and fresh air demand of each zone is presented. The control system is developed to operate efficiently HVAC system and IAV unit, so that individual zone operation and well-deal with partial load and IAQ problem are possible. The new system is investigated in model building and makes more profit in conveyance energy, size of air conditioning facilities room and building height than VAV system. But in construction cost it is worse by about 15 per-centage.

  • Photovoltaic energy and wind energy are highly dependent on the season, time and extremely intermittent energy sources. Because of these reasons, in view of the reliability the photovoltaic and the wind power generation system have many problems(energy conversion, energy storage, load control etc.) comparing with conventional power plant. In order to solve these existing problems, hybrid generation system composed of photovoltaic(500W) and wind power system(400W) was suggested. But, hybrid generation system cannot always generate stable output due to the varying weather condition. So, the auxiliary power compensation unit that uses elastic energy of spiral spring was added to hybrid generation system for the present study. It was partly confirmed that hybrid generation system was generated a stable outputs by spiral spring was continuously provided to load.

  • This paper proposes a new control method for the supercapacitor (SC) to compensate the pulsed load and to enhance the power quality of the DC microgrid. By coordinating the operating frequency, the SC is controlled to handle the surge current, while the low-frequency current component is dealt with by the remaining sources in the system. The operation mode of the SC unit is automatically changed based on the state of charge and DC bus voltage level. Meanwhile, the mismatch in the power demand is covered by the SC unit by regulating the DC bus voltage level. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified experimentally by the prototype with two distributed generators and one SC unit.

  • In general, Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems (AS/RS ) have racks of equal sized cells to utilize the concept of unit-load. Most of the techniques for the performance estimation of a unit-load AS/RS are a static model or computer simulation. Especially, their models were developed under assumption that the Storage/Retrieval (S/R) machine performs only single command (SC) or dual command (DC). In reality, defending on the operating policy and the status of the system at a particular time, the S/B machine performs a SC or a DC, or becomes .: idle. In order to resolve these weak points, we propose a stochastic model for the performance estimation of unit-load AS/RS by using a single-server queueing model.   • This paper describes the result of structure analysis and load test of torque arm for driving gear unit. The purpose of the analysis and test is to evaluate an safety which torque arm shall be considered fully sufficient rigidity so as to satisfy proper system function under maximum load. Driving gear unit consist of gearbox and torque arm. Both components, torque arm is significant component subjected to the vehicle and motor loads. The evaluation methode is used the FEM analysis, static and fatigue test. The test results have been very safety and stable for design load conditions.

  • Apartment Housing has been increasing steadily, particularly our current super high-rise apartment houses that represent the culture has become a trend in Korea. These super high-rise apartment houses' curtain wall system increases heating and cooling loads, it is expected to vary by each unit's thermal properties. In this study, measured indoor environment and energy simulation results were compared to actual energy consumption. As a result, the various factors that affect heating and cooling loads, such as direction, plan type and glazing area, influence each unit's load characteristic. In particular, according to the electricity costs savings behavior, the occupant's thermal discomfort is expected to be large in summer. Therefore, to reduce heating and cooling load for each unit requires a reasonable plan.
