  • As Internet of Things (IoT) is recently serviced in several fields, the reliability and safety issues for IoT embedded systems are emerged. During the development of embedded systems, it is not easy to build the virtual execution environment and to test the developing version. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure its reliability due to lack of unit testing. In this paper, we propose a log-based unit testing framework for embedded software, which performs on real target board by extracting information of function execution. And, according to execution paths, duplicated logs are eliminated to keep a minimal log size. As a result, during system testing, testers can efficiently decide whether the executed paths of each function are correctly performed or not.

  • The importance of ecosystem service such as green spaces has risen due to restrictions on outdoor activities amid the climate crisis and COVID-19. While gardens significantly impact economic development, quality of life, and social well-being, comprehensive studies on their multidimensional values are lacking. This research categorizes garden values into social, cultural, environmental, and health dimensions and proposes an integrated assessment framework that introduces detailed elements and evaluation methods. An empirical assessment of carbon storage index in two Korean gardens, Semiwon and Juknokwon, reveals Semiwon's higher carbon storage per unit area. The proposed framework, emphasizing a quantitative approach, enables cross-national and regional comparisons, contributing to a broader understanding and evaluation of garden values beyond specific facilities.

  • By means of coloring of plane nets a number of different tetrahedral frameworks can be derived. With the aid of this method all tetrahedral framework structures which built up of layer structures with 2, 4, 8 tetrahedra per unit cell and 6-membered ring or 4-8-membered ring are given. For the systematic derivation of all possible structures, graph theory may be introduced.

  • We characterize reducing subspaces of weighted shifts with operator weights as wandering invariant subspaces of the shifts with additional structures. We show how some earlier results on reducing subspaces of powers of weighted shifts with scalar weights on the unit disk and the polydisk can be fitted into our general framework.

  • Recently software agent has been studied as a new abstraction unit of software engineering. The agent with autonomous, adaptability and cooperation attribute is accepted as a new abstraction unit especially in distributed systems, open systems, and complex systems. However, the progress of agent research has been slow and the realization of agent programming language seems to be far distant. Because the properties of agent are diverse, the opinions of researchers can not converge to one. In this situation, software agent framework is accepted more realistic alternative solution. However the knowledge for its development doesn't have been shared among developers. So they often have to make same errors. We will help sharing of knowledge and experience by using pattern language which has been used in object technology for long times. This paper proposes a reactive agent framework pattern language and validates it based on ATAM[l] The increase of such indirect experience can reduce the waste of resource by preventing the same try and error. So agent framework developers are able to concentrate on more essential issues. Finally quality of software agent framework will be increased.

  • Modern mobile devices are equipped with various accelerated processing units to handle computationally intensive applications; therefore, Open Computing Language (OpenCL) has been proposed to fully take advantage of the computational power in heterogeneous systems. This article introduces a parallel software decoder of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes on an embedded heterogeneous platform using an OpenCL framework. The LDPC code is one of the most popular and strongest error correcting codes for mobile communication systems. Each step of LDPC decoding has different parallelization characteristics. In the proposed LDPC decoder, steps suitable for task-level parallelization are executed on the multi-core central processing unit (CPU), and steps suitable for data-level parallelization are processed by the graphics processing unit (GPU). To improve the performance of OpenCL kernels for LDPC decoding operations, explicit thread scheduling, vectorization, and effective data transfer techniques are applied. The proposed LDPC decoder achieves high performance and high power efficiency by using heterogeneous multi-core processors on a unified computing framework.

  • We developed a method of accelerating the operation speed of communication systems for SDR(Software Defined Radio) systems in WiBro environment. In this paper, we propose a new scheme of using GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) for implementing the communication system which perform with the functionality of SDR. In general, communication systems is made by DSP(Digital Signalling Processor) or FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). However, in this case, there are exist the problem of implementation and debugging caused by each CPU characteristic. The GPU is optimized for vector processing because it usually consists of multiple processors and each processor in GPU is composed of a set of threads. We also developed Framework to use GPU and CPU resources effectively for reducing the operation time. From the various simulation, it is confirmed that GPU system have good performance in WiBro system.

  • The post-war period has witnessed the emergence of new towns in a number of countries in Southeast Asia. New town development started in Malaysia with Petaling Jaya as a satellite town in 1953 to accommodate the rapid growing population of Kuala Lumpur. New towns have been designed in accordance with the British town planning principles, based on the modern ideal city. Nonetheless, they have constituted a regional character as they have incorporated local factors such as local technologies as well as site and climatic conditions. In the shaping of the new towns in modern cities, regulatory aspects have played important roles. The regulations decide the basic framework for planning of new town, block plan and unit plan. The ultimate goal of this study is to understand the identity of the new town planning of Malaysia. As a first step, we reviewed the local regulations, standards, and design guidelines which are applicable to the new town planning from the national land use to local plans. As a result, we categorized the guidelines into four areas: urban space, site plan, street system, block plan and unit plan. We expect this study to provide the framework of the Malaysia's new town planning from the perspective of the local regulations.

  • Recently, novel application areas in digital geometry processing, such as simulation, dynamics, and medical surgery simulations, have necessitated the representation of not only the surface data but also the interior volume data of a given 3D object. In this paper, we present an efficient framework for the shape approximations of spherical solid objects based on trivariate B-splines. To do this, we first constructed a smooth correspondence between a given object and a unit solid cube by computing their harmonic mapping. We set the unit solid cube as a rectilinear parametric domain for trivariate B-splines and utilized the mapping to approximate the given object with B-splines in a coarse-to-fine manner. Specifically, our framework provides user-controllability of shape approximations, based on the control of the boundary condition of the harmonic parameterization and the level of B-spline fitting. Experimental results showed that our method is efficient enough to compute trivariate B-splines for several models, each of whose topology is identical to a solid sphere.

  • Power can be generated from either renewable or non-renewable sources. Renewable sources are liked to maintain a strategic distance from contamination emanation and rely on upon fossil energizes which is decreasing day by day. The proposed sun powered vitality transformation unit comprises of a sun oriented exhibit, Bidirectional DC-DC converter, single stage inverter and AC. The inverter changes over DC control from the PV board into AC power and offered it to the heap which is associated with the lattice. The photovoltaic sun powered vitality (PV) is the most direct approach to change over sunlight based radiation into power and depends on the photovoltaic impact. The most extreme power point following of the PV yield for all daylight conditions is a key to keep the yield control per unit cost low for fruitful PV applications. Framework associated PV frameworks dependably have an association with people in general power matrix by means of an appropriate inverter in light of the fact that a PV module conveys just dc power. This project presents the new design, Development and Performance Analysis of a Grid Connected PV Inverter. Demonstrate that the proposed framework can lessen the Energy Consumption radically from the power board and give a solid support to the Grid.
