The goal of the present study is to develop the Human Interface Elements(HIE's) for evaluating the physical suitability of office chairs. HIE is generally defined as the physical characteristic of manufacturing goods, and it is closely related to the body dimension of a user and environment that it is used. In the present study the design elements of a chair were investigated, and from here, HIE's of office chair were developed based on relatedness of the design components, the physical characteristics of users, and characteristics of an environment that it used. As a result, components of a chair were classified as 6 major parts: Seat pan, back rest, arm rest, function control unit, seat supports and whole system. 43 HIE's were extracted from there 6 components. Also, the method for measuring HIE were developed.

An attempt to clarify the landscape structure of urban areas was carried out on Mt. Hwangryung located in the center of Pusan, southern Korea. By means of aerial photographs and field survey, a vegetation map including land-use pattern was made. Landscape structure was described by analyzing the vegetation map. Landscape element types were classified into secondary forest, introduced plantation, and other elements including urbanized area. almus firma and Pinus thunbergii communities, introduced plantation elements, formed matrix and some secondary forest elements and the other artificial plantations of small scale tended to distribute as small patches in such matrix. The number of patches per unit area in secondary forest elements was more than that in introduced plantation element. The result on patech size was vice versa. As the results of landscape ecological analyses, it was estimated that differentiation of patches recognized in community level would be related to artificial interference and those in sub-communities levels to natural process such as progression of succession. On the other hand, restoration plans in viewpoints of restoration and landscape ecology were suggested to improve ecological quality of Mt. hwangryung.

In this paper we introduce rings that satisfy regular 1-stable range. These rings are left-right symmetric and are generalizations of unit 1-stable range. We investigate characterizations of these kind of rings and show that these rings are closed under matrix rings and Morita Context rings.

In this paper, we propose a method for automatic generation of equivalent circuit for unit cell of LCDTV. In order to extract a circuit model, computer program generates electrical connectivity of resistors and capacitors from the layout through pattern analysis with electrode and port information. For combining two types of independent equivalent circuits, we propose a node insertion algorithm. As a consequence, we can generate an equivalent RC circuit without increasing the capacitive elements.

In this paper, we consider hyperstructures (H,.) defined on the set H = {e, a, b}. We study the hyperstructure of H when every element is one of a scalar unit, a unit or a weak scalar. On those conditions the $H_{\upsilon}$-quasigroups are classified. And we obtain the 15 minimal $H_{\upsilon}$-groups and 2 non-quasi $H_{\upsilon}$-semigroups For these we use the Mathematica 3.0 computer programs.

In this paper, we investigate the sums of the elements in the finite set $\{x^k:1{\leq}x{\leq}{\frac{n}{m}},\;gcd_u(x,n)=1\}$, where k, m and n are positive integers and gcd_u(x, n) is the unitary greatest common divisor of x and n. Moreover, for some cases of k and m, we can give the explicit formulae for the sums involving some well-known arithmetic functions.

Architectural design guideline of Korea prescribed that district unit plan was established for development over fixed scale since 2000 and it was based on the intention to make district view contextually. But, it was not applicable to practice and as a result of research, setting of district image was not clear when development of district unit plan was completed and elements and contents of district unit plan for embodying it were finite or theoretical. In addition, architectural design neglected contextual view of the whole district based on district unit plan and was inclined to individual view within district, and architectural deliberation was also inclined to individual view within the district rather than contextual view rather than contextual view. Therefore, district unit plan requires decision of element and range as design management for setting image and embodying it when development is completed and architectural design or deliberation must be also premised on district view.

This study analyzes the middle school Home Economics textbook's 'Adolescence consumption life' unit using framework of Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) to examine correlation with the current Home Economics ESD, and aims to provide the base data for the composition of the educational curriculum that can help the students cultivate the capability for leading sustainable life from the future oriented perspective and for the selection of educational contents. This study analyzes the 'Adolescence consumption life' unit in the Home Economics textbook of the 12 type revised curriculum of 2009. As for the analysis method, Romey's content analysis method is used to carry out in-depth analysis of the ESD content elements. The analysis demonstrates the following. First, content elements extracted commonly from the 'Adolescence consumption life' unit are analyzed with the ESD's criteria of analysis (environment, economic and social domain), which led to the composition with the sub content elements following 23 related topics. Secondly, content elements of 12 types of Home Economics textbook's 'Adolescence consumption life' unit used in middle school are analyzed in three domains, which led to social domain (68%), economic domain (58%) and environmental domain (40%) in the order mentioned. This focused on the role of the Adolescent-consumer on the active consumer that is presented in the 2009 revised educational curriculum, and it is possible to see that this is very closely related to the right to organize and to be active in terms of the human safety, consumption culture, social interest and group.

Ignition Safe-Arm-Unit using micro-electromechanical systems(MEMS) for propulsion system was designed and manufactured. MEMS was designed according to the design schemes for conventional mechanical elements. By comparing the design results and the test data of the prototype, small discrepancy was found, which is due to the nonlinear characteristic of the structure and the machining accuracy. The applicability of MEMS for Safe-Arm-Unit was proved by testing MEMS which is assembled into SAU.

After elderly long term care insurance implementation (July 1, 2008), the elderly medical and welfare facilities covered by medical insurance continuously increases 30 to 63% sanction annually. Rapid growth of senior citizen welfare facilities arises in a poor residential environment issues. In most cases, it is the legal minimum criteria tailored for 4 persons accommodated in nature, such as the hospital. Therefore, 'Hometown-style traditional Korean House' is needed to rest comfortable for elderly people. Research goal is to provide direction and design materials by developing a type of architectural planning for the elderly welfare facilities unit care of the atmosphere of a traditional Korean House. The following two elements are applied to the elderly welfare facilities. Senior citizen welfare facilities in the main living space are applied to modern residential space of the elderly-friendly atmosphere of a traditional Korean House. It is applied for the Korean lifestyle and residential culture are through an analysis of Japan's leading development unit care system.
