농업용 액체 분무용 초음파 분사효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on The Effect of Ultrasonic Atomization in Agricultural Twin-fluid Nozzle)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate experimentally atomization characteristics for differently made an ultrasonic twin-fluid nozzle. A spray system, an ultrasonic system, and three different type(Nozzle type, Tube type, Conventional type)are made and tested by applied with ultrasonic energy. In this investigation, the measurement and calculation of spray droplet are to analyze the effects of ultrasonic energy on the agricultural atomization system. Through the measurement of suray angle, spray column using, high speed camera and PDA, it is found that nozzle type is highest efficiency than that of tube type and conventional type. It was found that the ultrasonic energy increased the atomization efficiency of spray droplets about 9% respectively and spray angle was wide spray.

  • Characteristics of the twin fluid spray with ultrasonic forcing are examined in order to obtain the high efficiency of cold fog spray of the automatic pest control machine which has been widely used for the equipment cultivation recently. An electrostrictive vibrator of PZT BLT and a magnetostrictive vibrator of ${\pi}type$ with 28 kHz are applied as the ultrasonic transducer. All experiments are made and observed in 4 methods of spray ; a conventional spray method without ultrasonic forcing, an indirect vibration method with ultrasonic forcing, an improving duality method by ultrasonic forced within liquid, and a combined use method with both of the indirect vibration method and the improving quality method. In results, It was clarified that the ultrasonic effects the atomization of spray droplets and its efficiency is about $10{\%}$ and especially much more in the case of the combined use method.

An electrostrictive vibrator of PZT BLT and a magnetostrictive $\pi$-type vibrator were used applied as the ultrasonic transducers with a frequency of 28 kHz.   • The utilization of resonance should be considered to get the maximum effect of ultrasonic to atomize liquid. The ultrasonic generator, transducer, horn, and all attached parts are used to produce the resonance, and specially the characteristics of liquids such as liquid load, property, and etc., for the liquid atomization affinity are considered. In this study, the variable device of liquid load was made and distilled water and city water selected as experimental liquids were sprayed by a twin-fluid spray method and their diameters, distributions, and spray quantum of spray droplets were measured by the light scattering system. And all data were observed, compared and considered relatively. In results, a lot of phenomena of liquid atomization affinity by ultrasonic appeared in accordance with liquid loads, namely head h.

유해배기가스 저감을 위한 Hole형 노즐의 미립화 특성실험 (Atomization Characteristics Experiment of Hole Type Nozzle for the Reduction of Harmful Exhausted Gas)

  • A simplified experiment was performed to figure out the atomization characteristics of rice-bran oil which it is highly viscous liquid by applying ultrasonic energy. A spray system, an ultrasonic system, and three kinds of hole-type nozzles(hole diameter: 0.31, 0.34, 0.37mm) were manufactured. To investigate the effects of ultrasonic energy on the atomization of a highly viscous liquid, a phase doppler particle analyzer was used for measurement and calculation of spray droplets data. Nozzle opening pressures were chosen of 3 levels, i.e, 16, 20, and 24MPa. As a result, it could be concluded that the ultrasonic energy was effective to improve the spray atomization when it applied to the fuel by means of 3 different nozzles because of the effects of the liquid fuel cavitation and relaxation between molecules caused by ultrasonic energy. The improvement rate of the spray atomization by the ultrasonic method compared with the conventional spray increased about 15% in the case of hole type nozzles. By increasing of the nozzle opening pressure and decreasing of the hole diameter, the atomization of spray droplets was improved.

  • This experiment was undertaken to investigate spray characteristics of the conventional injection system and the ultrasonic energy added injection system. Sauter mean diameter was measured under the variation of injection pressure and the spray distance. To measure the droplet size, we used the Malvern system 2600C. The spray angle and mass distribution were analyzed to the CCD camera and the patternater. After experiment, it was found that the ultrasonic energy added injection system had smaller Sauter mean diameter of droplet, wider mass distribution and wider spray angle than the conventional injection system had.

  • 국내 정수장의 약품공정을 향상시켜 저비용 고효율의 정수처리 공정을 확립할 목적으로 약품 분사용 초음파 분사 노즐의 적용가능성을 평가하였다. 초음파 분사노즐은 압전세라믹스를 이용하여 제작하였으며, 이 장치를 사용하여 상수 원수를 처리한 결과와 현재 대부분의 정수장에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 약품 혼화방식에 의한 오염물질의 처리효율을 비교 평가하였다. 그 결과 혼화방식에 따른 혼화지 내 응집제 혼화특성은 초음파 노즐에 의한 혼화방식이 기계식(back-mixing) 혼화방식보다 응집제의 확산속도가 빠른 것으로 조사되었다. 오염물질 별 제거효율 역시 기계식(back-mixing) 혼화방식보다 초음파 노즐에 의한 혼화방식의 제거효율이 높은 것으로 조사되어, 초음파 분사노즐을 이용한 약품 혼화방식을 실제 정수처리 공정에 적용할 경우 응집제의 과량 주입에 의한 처리효율의 저하를 방지할 수 있고, 후속 공정에 대한 부하량을 줄임으로서, 정수공정에 사용되는 약품을 절감시키고, 혼화지가 필요없게 되어 이로 인한 경제적 효과 뿐만 아니라 보다 순도가 높은 음용수를 생산 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

PDPA에 의한 Pintle형 노즐의 미립화 특성실험 -식물유를 중심으로- (Atomization Characteristics Experiment of Pintle Type Nozzle by the PDPA)

  • 본 실험은 고점성 미강유의 액체 미립화를 향상시키기 위해 초음파 에너지를 적용하여 미립화 특성을 규명하고자 수행하였다. 식물유의 미립화 실험장치는 유사하게 1마력의 구동모터와 노즐을 장착할 수 있는 인젝터 및 소형분사 펌프 등으로 구성되어 있는 분사장치, 액적의 분산을 막기 위한 포집장치, 공급되는 연료에 초음파 진동을 가해주는 초음파 장치, 그리고 미립화 정도를 측정하기 위한 PDPA 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 핀틀형 노즐에서 된끝각을 5$^{\circ}$ $10^{\circ}$ 15$^{\circ}$이며, 분사압력은 10, 13, 16 Mpa의 조건으로 실험하였다. 이 때 포집거리 300mm로 하였다. 노즐 분사 압력에 따른 분무 평균입경을 측정하기 위하여 노즐테스터를 대기압 상태에서 핀틀링 노즐의 스프링 크기를 조절하여 분무 평균입경(SMD)은 상용연료 공급장치 보다 초음파 연료공급 장치의 경우 Pintle형 노즐에서는 SMD를 기준으로 하여 10% 미립화 상승효율을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 초음파 진동에너지를 연료에 공급함으로써 고점성연료의 미립화 개선이 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

액적 분급 장치를 적용한 분무열분해 공정으로부터 합성된 실리카 분말의 특성 (The Characteristics of Silica Powders Prepared by Spray Pyrolysis Applying Droplet Classification Apparatus)

  • Silica powders with spherical shape and narrow size distribution were prepared by large-scale ultrasonic spray pyrolysis applying the droplet classification apparatus. On the other hand, silica powders prepared by large-scale ultrasonic spray pyrolysis without droplet classification apparatus had broad size distribution. Droplet classification apparatus used in this paper applied the principles of cyclone and dispersion plate with small holes. The droplets formed from the ultrasonic spray generator applying the droplet classification apparatus had narrow size distribution. The droplets with fine and large sizes were eliminated by droplet classification apparatus. The optimum flow rate of the carrier gas and diameter of the hole of the dispersion plate were studied to reduce the size distribution of the silica powders prepared by large-scale ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. The size distribution of the silica powders prepared by large-scale ultrasonic spray pyrolysis at the optimum preparation conditions was 0.76.

압전체를 이용한 약품 분사용 초음파 분사 노즐 시스템 (Ultrasonic Spray Nozzle System with Piezoelectric Device for Chemicals Dispersion)

  • 압전 세라믹스를 이용하여 약품 분사용 초음파분사 노즐을 제작하였다. 정수장의 혼화 공정에 사용되는 약품(응집제)의 고효율 분산을 위해 분사 노즐을 설계하였으며 압전세라믹을 최적화하였다. 제작된 초음파 약품 분사 노즐을 패키징하여 정수장의 약품 혼화 과정에 적용하여 약품사용의 고 효율화와 사용량 저감을 위한 연구를 진행하였다. 압전체는 실리콘으로 마감처리를 하였으며 Al으로 패키징하였다. 본 초음파 분사 노즐 시스템을 적용하여 혼화지에 실험한 결과 약품의 순간 혼화를 촉진시키는 기술로 투입 약품량을 저감시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 초음파 발진 약품 분사시, 무발진과 비교하여 대장균 제거 효율에서 현저하게 높아졌다.
