The Development of Ubiquitous Road Disaster Management System (유비쿼터스 도로재해관리시스템 개발연구)

  • Because the cost of road management is increasing proportional to road construction, there are needs to build general and systematic road management system. To solving such problems, Ministry of Construction and Transportation started research and development of Highway Management System(HMS), and established a foundation for systematic road management system. But, the implementation of HMS has some limitations because it is just converting roads of physical space to roads of electronic space and managing roads of electronic space. Although HMS offers many conveniences compared to old system which was based hard-copy and paper maps or unit operations, it can not overcome the problem of inefficency of road management due to the separation of operation between outer field and inner office. Therefore, to overcome such inefficency, this study focused on Road Disaster Management System development based on Ubiquotous.

  • 본 논문에서는 통신 방송 융합 환경하에서 다양한 이동 통신 단말을 가지고 있는 최종 소비자(End-user)에게 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 서비스(간단히, UCA(Ubiquotous Contens Access) 라고 함) 해 주는 기술들을 소개하고 이 기술들이 적용된 시스템을 모델을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 서비스 기술에 대해 소비자 측면에서 보여지는 서비스 기술의 상대적 우위성과 오락성을 분석하였다. 통신 방송 융합 서비스 모델의 특성은 End to End(E2E) media QoS와 소비자 맞춤형 콘텐츠 소비 제공으로써 콘텐츠의 제작에서 적응, 전달, 그리고 최종 소비자에게 맞춤형 콘텐츠 소비를 가능하게 하는 유통 시스템을 가진다. 이와 같은 통신 방송 융합 환경에서의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 서비스를 위한 서비스 모델을 제안하고 소비자 관점에서 바라본 통방 융합서비스 기술에 대해 상대적 우위성 및 오락성을 분석함으로써 제안된 통신 방송 융합 서비스 모델이 소비자 관점에서의 사업적인 가치가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • USN(Ubiquotous Sensor Network) has been applied to various fields of industries such as logistics, environment management, traffic management, as well as IT industries including home network and telematics. Among the important techniques required to implement aforementioned applications, location management scheme is essential. In this paper, we proposed and implemented a new location measurement scheme based on RSSI of sensor node for campus car location management.

  • This study is to survey on the status of human resource training programs related to ubiquitous technologies and services of domestic universities. So, this study develop a classification system about human resource related to ubiquitous technologies and services. We propose the implications and plans which are based on the status of human resource training programs related to ubiquitous technologies and services. Human resources related to ubiquitous technology are classified by the flow of information in ubiquitous environment. And human resources related to ubiquitous service are classified by ubiquitous user view. This study can be used to find collaboration alternatives for breeding up ubiquitous human resources and referred to analyzing on the supply and demand of ubiquotous human resources.

A Low Power Consumption Management Scheme Based on Touch & Play for Smart Memory Tags (스마트 메모리 태그를 위한 Touch & Play 기반 저전력 소모 관리 기법)

  • QR/NFC tags have been utilized in various fields like exhibition, museum, and so on, but they have a drawback that they are read-only fundamentally. We devise a novel device called a smart memory tag (below mem-tag) which is supplemented with the write function through combining a flash memory into a NFC tag. A mem-tag is composed of an NFC tag, an MCU, a flash memory, a bluetooth module, and a battery, and is inter-operating with smartphones via bluetooth communication. It can be used in a bulletin board to support writing replies and in a check-in service to verify the presence of the site. What matters is that users' inter-operations are borne to be asynchronous, which leads to the energy consumption to wait for users' actions. Sleep mechanisms and asynchronous MAC protocols used in ubiquotous sensor networks cannot avoid the consumption of battery. In this paper, we propose a touch and play scheme for minimizing the consumption of battery that the MCU wakes up and PLAY when a user TOUCH the mem-tag. We implemented the system to show that our scheme lets the mem-tag work 50 times longer than the sleep and wake-up scheme.

  • Portable navigation markets grew up to 95% last year. This study aims to develop a business model for pedestrian-oriented portable navigator for street shoppers. Related previous studies developed successfully the alogrithm for a portable navigator, and the current study seeks for diverse ways to turn this system into a new type of on & off line-based LBS business. The business model proposed in this study adopted two different approaches of benefit yields based on the structural analysis of so-called Wanavi navigation system. One is segmented approach seeking for benefits from each individual system component such as communication network, contents, and platform. The other approach is to run the business by integrating relevant system componts in every possible way to attract customers to this portable navigator. The purpose of this proposal is not limited to activate emerging walking navigator markets, but to aim at creating idealistic free market system where all the shoppers are furnished complete market information to the fullest extent when they go on shopping.
