  • Internet Data is hugely increased for high quality multimedia services and the related techniques is also developed rapidly. This paper is aimed to develop integrated internet data and Digital-Television receiving system with high performance and optimization, which is obtained by one-board integration with load control. It is applicable to various devices like computer, set-top box, home multimedia gateway etc. The performance is proved by evaluation test. It shows that the developed device can be TV tuner and internet AP for more robust multimedia services.

  • Since the middle of 1990's, domestic apartment building suppliers have set up brand images to overcome the difficulties in financial situation after IMF foreign exchange crisis. The main trends in recent apartment buildings could be classified generally into several types, such as 'Ubiquitous Intelligent(standing for High-tech)', 'Walkable Community(community-friendly)', 'Eco-friendly', 'Ergonomic Humanity(Human Engineering)', 'e-easy Home through Internet(Digital Home)'. With those brand images, construction enterprises have been making inroads into local apartment markets, especially one of the region around Dae-gu. It is meaningful and worth researching and analyzing the local residents' preferences and tendencies to form marketing strategies of brand images. Here, this research and analysis is of pre-examination before getting down the study of this subject.

  • Recently, keyword spotting system is greatly in the limelight as UI(User Interface) technology of ubiquitous home network system. Keyword spotting system is vulnerable to non-stationary noises such as TV, radio, dialogue. Especially, speech recognition rate goes down drastically under the embedded DSP(Digital Signal Processor) environments because it is relatively low in the computational capability to process input speech in real-time. In this paper, we propose a new keyword spotting system using the call-command method, which is consisted of small number of recognition networks. We select the call-command such as 'narae', 'home manager' and compose the small network as a token which is consisted of silence with the noise and call commands to carry the real-time recognition continuously for input speeches.

  • Due to the rapid popularization of mobile multimedia devices and the Internet as well as the realization of high-speed data transmission and large-volume data recording media, high quality content distribution and ubiquitous information services are making progress and a new type of information distribution and network sharing service has gradually emerged into the market. It is capable of utilizing terabyte sized home servers also in private homes. Under these circumstances, in distribution of content over shared networks, it is crucial to establish DRM (Digital Rights Management) technologies to protect the content from illegal copying and usage. A truly successful DRM system must be built on open worldwide specifications and provide maximum interoperability and user acceptance. An open interoperability of DRM is able to construct highly expandable PKI based DRM, targeting usage between systems, considering the expansion of recent content distribution services and clients This document gives protocol specifications for the exchange of rights information between the DRM module, description of specifications for rights information and encrypted content formats.

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 네트워크 기술의 발전으로 가정 내 정보가전기기의 네트워크가 중요해지는 점에 따라 기존의 네트워크 기반의 홈 오토메이션 시스템의 단점을 극복할 HCAS(implementation of house customize automation system based on smart-phone)를 구현하고자 하였다. 기존의 단점으로는 필요한 기능을 사용자에 따라 쉽게 변경하지 못하는 점과 홈 오토메이션 시스템의 높은 비용 등이 있다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기위해 Customize 즉, 사용자의 선택에 따라 제어 가능한 가전기기의 추가 및 제거가 가능한 기능을 구현하였고 ZigBee기술을 사용함으로써 저 전력 무선네트워크를 구현하였다. 그리고 최근의 이슈인 스마트폰을 이용함으로써 기존의 월패드형 이나 리모컨형의 불편한 휴대성을 보완하였고 직관적이며 이미지기반의 사용자 인터페이스는 HCAS의 사용자들이 시스템 제어를 조금 더 편리하고 쉽게 할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 실제로 제작한 모델 하우스에 적용시켜보고 추후의 연구 방향을 제시 하였다.

  • In this paper, we designed the authentication system for home network service and applied it to actual sensor nodes. SNEP protocol of SPINS provides confidentiality of data and authentication. We achieved authentication key, encryption and decryption applied RCS encryption algorithm of SNEP. In addition, we used pair-wise key pre-distribution for prevention of authentication sniffing in wireless sensor network. The experiment environment consists of a base station receiving data and sensor nodes sending data. Each sensor nodes sends both the data and encrypted authentication key to the base station. The experiences had shown that the malfunction doesn't happen in communication among other groups. And we confirmed in tests that the system is secure when a sensor having malicious propose is added.

무선 홈 네트워킹 기술 표준화 동향 및 발전 전망

  • 홈 네트워킹은 다양한 유ㆍ무선 네트워킹 기술을 적용하여 개개인의 생활을 더 윤택하게 해 주는 서비스를 제공하고 이를 통해 커다란 시장을 형성할 수 있는 미래의 신 성장 동력 산업이다. 이를 위해 PLC, IEEE 1394, HomePNA와 같은 유선 홈 네트워킹 기술은 물론 WLAN, WPAN, UWB 등과 같은 무선 네트워킹 기술이 여러 가지의 응용 분야를 무기로 자신의 영역을 차지하려 하고 있다. 따라서 댁내의 기기는 이와 같은 네트워킹 기술을 지원하도록 설계되어야 하지만, 그 위에 UPnP나 HAVi, Jini, HNCP 등과 같은 미들웨어가 탑재되어야 상호 호환성이 지원된다. 그리고 하나의 표준화된 H/W나 S/W 플랫폼 위에 혼 게이트웨이가 동작하면 집 외부에서 원격으로 새로운 서비스를 지원할 수 있게 되며 응용 분야가 다양하게 확장될 수 있다. 그 위에 유비퀴터스 네트워킹 개념을 도입하여 홈 네트워크가 필요로 하는 서비스를 지원함으로써 커다란 시장을 이끌어 갈 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워킹 기술의 표준화 현황에 대해 정리하고, 차세대 성장 동력으로서의 홈 네트워킹을 위해 반드시 적용해야 할 유비퀴터스 네트워킹 개념과 이로부터 효과를 얻기 위해 집안에 홈 네트워크를 어떻게 수용하게 할 것인지에 대해 논하였다. 끝으로 유비퀴터스 네트리킹을 통한 막대한 시장을 먼저 확보하기 위한 무선 홈 네트워킹 기술의 아키텍처를 정하면서 이를 구현하기 위해 먼저 수행해야 할 Mesh Networking 기술 및 Multi-Hop 네트워킹 기술과 같은 연구분야에 대해 논하였다.(중략)

Position Recognition and User Identification System Using Signal Strength Map in Home Healthcare Based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) (무선 센서네트워크 기반 신호강도 맵을 이용한 재택형 위치인식 및 사용자 식별 시스템)

  • Ubiquitous location based services (u-LBS) will be interested to an important services. They can easily recognize object position at anytime, anywhere. At present, many researchers are making a study of the position recognition and tracking. This paper consists of postion recognition and user identification system. The position recognition is based on location under services (LBS) using a signal strength map, a database is previously made use of empirical measured received signal strength indicator (RSSI). The user identification system automatically controls instruments which is located in home. Moreover users are able to measures body signal freely. We implemented the multi-hop routing method using the Star-Mesh networks. Also, we use the sensor devices which are satisfied with the IEEE 802.15.4 specification. The used devices are the Nano-24 modules in Octacomm Co. Ltd. A RSSI is very important factor in position recognition analysis. It makes use of the way that decides position recognition and user identification in narrow indoor space. In experiments, we can analyze properties of the RSSI, draw the parameter about position recognition. The experimental result is that RSSI value is attenuated according to increasing distances. It also derives property of the radio frequency (RF) signal. Moreover, we express the monitoring program using the Microsoft C#. Finally, the proposed methods are expected to protect a sudden death and an accident in home.

  • 스마트 홈은 단순한 가정 내 네트워크 연결이 아닌 주택(건물)내의 정보 기술 요소를 구현하는 토털 홈 정보 제어 시스템 서비스, 솔루션을 총칭한다. 현재는 언제, 어디서, 어떤 기기로건 인터넷에 접속할 수 있는 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 시대이자, 개별 사물들이 인터넷에 연결되어 스스로 필요한 정보를 주고받게 될 시대가 도래함에 따라 사람들의 주요 생활공간에서도 활용도가 점차 커지는 것이다. 수시로 변화하는 상황에 적응하며 정확도가 높은 스마트 서비스의 제공을 위해서는 사용자의 의도에 부합하는 Semantic-Context 정보생성을 위한 SOM(Self-Organizing Map)추론 방식의 알고리즘과 정보의 의미화로 다양한 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 인프라 대비 최대 서비스가 요구된다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 스마트 홈에서 이종 가전기기들의 상황정보를 센서 데이터로부터 추출하여 사용자 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하기 위한 SOM 추론 기반의 스마트 홈을 설계한다.

Speed Optimized Implementation of HUMMINGBIRD Cryptography for Sensor Network

  • The wireless sensor network (WSN) is well known for an enabling technology for the ubiquitous environment such as real-time surveillance system, habitat monitoring, home automation and healthcare applications. However, the WSN featuring wireless communication through air, a resource constraints device and irregular network topology, is threatened by malicious nodes such as eavesdropping, forgery, illegal modification or denial of services. For this reason, security in the WSN is key factor for utilizing the sensor network into the commercial way. There is a series of symmetric cryptography proposed by laboratory or industry for a long time. Among of them, recently proposed HUMMINGBIRD algorithm, motivated by the design of the well-known Enigma machine, is much more suitable to resource constrained devices, including smart card, sensor node and RFID tags in terms of computational complexity and block size. It also provides resistance to the most common attacks such as linear and differential cryptanalysis. In this paper, we implements ultra-lightweight cryptography, HUMMINGBIRD algorithm into the resource constrained device, sensor node as a perfectly customized design of sensor node.
