An Equivalent Load Sharing by Wireless Parallel Operation Control in UPS

  • An equivalent load sharing control based on the frequency and voltage droop concept for parallel operation of two three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with no control interconnection lines is presented in this paper. First of all, due to the use of active power and reactive power as control variables, the characteristics of output powers according to amplitude and phase differences between output voltages of two UPS systems are analyzed. Secondly, simulation results under different line impedance demonstrate the feasibility of the wireless parallel operation control. Finally, experiments are presented to verify the theoretical discussion with two three-phase 20kVA UPS systems employed TMS320C32, a kind of real time digital signal processor (DSP).

비저작측 교합간섭이 저작근 활성도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Interference of the Non-chewing Side on Electromyographic Activity of Masticatory Muscles)

  • The purpose of this study was to standardized and classify the coordination pattern among the chewing side and non-chewing side masseter and anterior muscles, in terms of EMG values on lateral excursion, clenching, and mastication in presence of the non-chewing side. In this study, 25 subjects were selected for experiment of lateral excursion, clenching and mastication and EMG value of the masseter and anterior temporal muscle on both sides were recored 2 times respectively. The bioelectric processor model EM2(Myo-tonic research, INC. U.S.A.) with the surface electrodes were used to record the EMG activity during all experimental procedures. The results were as follows : 1. During lateral excursion on intereference of non-chewing side, the EMG values of the temporal muscle were significantly more prominent than those of the temporal muscle on the non-chewing side. The EMG values of non-chewing side were significantly more prominent than those of chewing side on the both side masseter muscle and those of chewing side were significantly more prominent than those of non-chewing side on the both side temporal muscle. 2. During clenching on the occlusal interferance, the EMG values of non-chewing side masseter muscle were most prominent. 3. During mastication on the occlusal interferance, the EMG values of the chewing side temporal muscle were most prominent and those of non-chewing side temporal muscle were the lowest. 4. The EMG values of temporal muscle of non-chewing side on interferance were significantly more prominent than those of canine guidance during lateral excursion. 5. During clenching on the occlusal interferance, the EMG values of the masseter and the temporal muscles of the non-chewing side were significantly more prominent than canine guidance, but those of chewing side temporal muscle on canine guidance were significantly more prominent than those of interferance. 6. During mastication on canine guidance, the EMG Values of the temporal muscle on the chewing side, the masseter muscle on the chewing side and the temporal muscle on the non-chewing side were more prominent than those of interferance, but temporal muscle of non-chewing side was not different between canine guidance and occlusal interferance on non-chewing side.

  • In this paper, we introduce SlimSRP, an ultra-low-power digital signal processor (DSP) solution for mobile audio and voice applications. So far, application processors (APs) have taken charge of all the tasks in mobile devices. However, they have suffered from short battery life problems to deal with complex usage scenarios, such as always-on voice trigger with continuous audio playback. From extensive analysis of audio and voice application characteristics, SlimSRP is designed to relive the performance and power burden of APs. It employs three-issue VLIW architecture, and the major low-power and high-performance techniques include: (1) an optimized register-file architecture friendly for constants generation, (2) a powerful instruction set to reduce the number of register file accesses and (3) a unique instruction compression scheme that contributes to saved memory size and reduced cache miss. An implementation of SlimSRP runs at up to 200MHz and the logic occupies 95K NAND2 gates in Samsung 28LPP process. The experimental results demonstrate that a MP3 decoder application with a 128kbps 44.1kHz input can run at 5.1MHz and the logic consumes only 22uW/MHz.

병렬 연역 데이타베이스에서 확장된 평가 알고리즘 (An Extended Evaluation Algorithm in Parallel Deductive Database)

  • 연역 데이타베이스가 병렬 컴퓨터 구조에 분할 적재될 때, 내포 술어에 대한 갱신이 결정적일 필요가 있으며, 이 결과를 이용한 내포 술어의 병렬 평가 알고리즘이 요구된 다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 연역 데이타베이스의 내포 술어에 대한 삽입과 삭제가 결정적 인 방법을 제안하고 병렬 영역 데이타베이스를 휘한 병렬 컴퓨터 구도에서 갱신 방 법이 고려된 확장된 병렬 평가 알고리즘을 제안한다. 연역 데이타베이스는 외연적 데이타베이스 즉 사실들의 집합과, 내포적 데이타베이스 즉 규칙들의 집합으로 구성된다. 이 집합들을 여러개의 처리기에 분산 적재 하였을 때, 각각의 처리기에서 갱신 방법과 그 결과를 이용한 병렬 평가방법을 연구한다. 각각의 처리기는 자신의 지역 기억장치를 가지며 연결망을 통하여 서로 메세지를 교환함으로써 통신한다.

  • 메모리의 계층적 구조는 메모리의 접근 속도를 개선하고 프로그래밍 공간을 확장 하는데 유용한 메카니즘이다. 그러나 이 구조는 데이타의 참조를 위해서 적어도 두번- 주소 변환을 위한 TLB 와 원하는 데이타를 위한 데이타 캐시-의 메모리 접근이 필요하다. 만약 캐시의 크기가 가상 메모리의 페이지 크기와 캐시 메모리의 연관 정도의 곱보다 커지면 TLB접근과 데이타 캐시의 접근을 병렬로 수행하기 어려우며, 따라서 프로세서 타이밍의 임계 경로가 길어져 성능에 영향을 미친다. 이들의 병렬 접근을 성취하기 위하여 직접 사상 TLB와 조그마한 완전 연관 사상 TLB를 결합하나 혼합 사상 TLB를 제 안한다. 전자는 TLB 접근에 따른 지연시간을 줄 일 수 있으며 후자는 전자로부터 발생한 충돌 부재를 제거할 수 있게 된다. 트레이스 구동 모의 실험 결과에 의하면 제안된 TLB 는 4개의 엔트리로만 구성된 완전사상 TLB를 추가하더라도 부재율의 상승에 의한 영향이 주소변환에 따른 지연시간 축소에 위하여 상쇄되므로 효과적이다.

LabVIEW 적용 임베디드 태양추적장치 개발 (Development of an Embedded Solar Tracker using LabVIEW)

  • 본 연구에서는 LabVIEW를 활용한 임베디드 태양추적장치가 개발되었다. 이 시스템은 LabVIEW로 작성된 소프트웨어, CompactRIO, C-계열의 모션 인터페이스 모듈, 아날로그 수집 모듈(DAQ:Data Acquisition), 스텝 드라이브, 스텝 모터, 피드백디바이스 그리고 기타 부품들로 구성되어져 있다. CompactRIO는 내부에 리얼타임 프로세서를 내장하고 있으며 이는 태양추적장치가 외부 제어없이도 자동으로 작동이 가능하게 한다. 태양 추적장치의 정확도를 높이기 위하여 천문학적인 방법과 광학적인 방법을 통합하여 개발하였다. 광학적인 방법에서는 피드백디바이스가 사용되었는데 4개의 CdS를 사용하여 지속적으로 피드백 신호를 컨트롤러로 공급하여 문제 발생시에도 태양을 지속적으로 추적한다. 태양의 고도 및 방위각의 데이터베이스는 미국의 Naval Observatory의 데이터와 비교하였다.

Dynamics and Control of 6-DOF Shaking Table with Bell Crank Structure

  • This paper describes the kinematics, dynamics and control of a 6-DOF shaking table with a bell crank structure, which converts the direction of reciprocating movements. In this shaking table, the bell crank mechanism is used to reduce the amount of space needed to install the shaking table and create horizontal displacement of the platform. In kinematics, joint design is performed using $Gr{\ddot{u}}bler's$ formula. The inverse kinematics of the shaking table is discussed. The derivation of the Jacobian matrix is presented to evaluate singularity conditions. Considering the maximum stroke of the hydraulic actuator, collision between links and singularity, workspace is computed. In dynamics, computations are based on the Newton-Euler formulation. To derive parallel algorithms, each of the contact forces is decomposed into one acting in the direction of the leg and the other acting in the plane orthogonal to the direction of the leg. Applying the Newton-Euler approach, the solution of inverse dynamics is almost completely parallel. Only one of the steps-the application of the Newton-Euler equations to the platform-must be performed on one single processor. Finally, the efficient control scheme is proposed for the tracking control of the motion platform.

의료기관 운영 효율성 제고를 위한 실시간 기업(RTE) 사례 연구 - 서울성모병원 핵심 프로세스를 중심으로 - (A Case Study on a Real-Time Enterprise to Improve Operational Efficiency of Medical Institutions - Centering on the Main Process of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital -)

  • This is a case study of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital applying a real-time enterprise (RTE) strategy to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency with the main process of medical institutions. The hospital is applying an RTE strategy to get real-time information on occurrences at each contact point of the main process of the medical institution from reservation to discharge through dashboard and to resolve issues through rapid decision-making. The RTE strategy of the hospital has some summaries: First, the hospital has linked a hospital management strategy to the RTE strategy to build a patient-centered treatment process. Second, the hospital has operated a control tower for change management and implementation monitoring in the process of implementing the RTE strategy. Third, the hospital has built systematic RTE-based environment as an application program in which the nU System is linked to Business Processor Renovation (BPR) promoted from 2006 on. Fourth, the hospital is applying a strategy to improve efficiency in operating the hospital by increasing customer satisfaction, removing inefficiency and variability, and managing medical resources efficiently through the RTE strategy. Fifth, it has established an information-sharing system through authority management for each user in terms of RTE information. Sixth, it has supplemented limitations of short-term information of the RTE strategy by linking the key performance index to the cost information system in order to improve performance of the RTE strategy. Seventh, it has improved customer satisfaction and achieved higher performance in improving operational efficiency, as compared with rival hospitals, through the RTE strategy.

K-EMS 계통해석 어플리케이션을 위한 공통 데이터 모델 구축 (Common Data Model for Network Analysis Applications of K-EMS)

  • 본 논문에서는 한국형 에너지 관리 시스템의 계통 해석용 프로그램을 위한 공통 데이터 모델의 구축에 대해 다루었다. 공통 데이터 모델이란 다양한 어플리케이션이 공유하여 사용할 수 있는 계통 모델의 데이터베이스를 가리키며 본 논문에서는 토폴로지 프로세서(topology processor, TP), 상태추정(state estimator, SE), 급전원 조류계산(dispatcher power flow, DPF), 휴전계획(outage scheduler, OS), 부하 분포계수(bus load distribution factor, BLDF), 송전 손실 민감도 계수(transmission loss sensitivity factor, TLSF) 등을 위한 공통 모델에 대해 다루었다. 공통 모델의 구축을 위해 각 어플리케이션에서 필요한 정보를 수집하여 전력계통의 토폴로지 구조과 계통 설비를 모델링 하였다. 최종적으로 계층적(hierarchy) 구조와 비계층적(non-hierarchy) 구조로 나뉘어진 직접(direct) 및 간접(indirect) 인덱스 코드를 사용하여 데이터로의 빠른 접근이 가능한 실시간 데이터베이스 형태를 제시하였다.

교합기능시 흉쇄유돌근과 교근의 관계에 대한 근전도학적 연구 (AN INTEGRATED EMG STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF STERNOCLEIDOMASTOID AND MASSETER MUSCLES DURING OCCLUSAL FUNCTION)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sternocleidomastoid (SCM) and masseter muscles during occlusal functions by means of EMG recordings of examined muscles. For the study, eighteen normal subjects were selected and the Bio-electric Processor EM2 (Myo-tronics Research, Inc., U.S.A.) with the surface electrodes was used to record the EMG activity from the right and left middle of masseter and insertion of SCM of each subject during right and left gum-chewing and isometric contraction by changing the biting force at right eccentric position of jaw. The amount of biting force ranged from 5 to 70kg during isometric contraction were measured by use of Jaw Force Meter. (Nihon Koden Kogyo, Japan.) The results were as follows: 1. The activity onset of SCM and masseter on the same side was almost at the same time, and integrated EMG values of two muscles on the chewing side were higher than the same named muscles on the non-chewing side during gum-chewing. (p<0.01) 2. The regression correlation was not present between both masseters (p>0.05), but between both SCM muscles or muscles of two kinds on the chewing or non-chewing side. ($p{\leqq}0.05$) 3. The integrated EMG value of SCM on chewing or non-chewing side were about 10 percent of that of ipsilateral masseter. 4. Mean voltage of each examined muscles were almost proportional to biting force during isometric contraction and the slope of voltage/biting force line was steepest at the ipsilateral masseter, followed by contalateral masseter, ipsi- and contra-lateral SCM muscles. 5. Mean voltage of ipsilateral masseter was highest during isometric contraction, followed by ipsilateral masseter, contra- and ipsi-lateral SCM muscles.
