부모의 유아교육기관 유형별 선택요인 및 만족도 (The Selection Factors and the Satisfaction Degree of Parents on Early Childhood Education Institutions)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine parents' selection factors and satisfaction degree in selecting an early childhood education institute according to various types of early childhood education institutes. The subjects were 650 parents of early childhood education institutes from Andong city. The result of the study can be summarized as follows. The parents' consideration degrees in the selection factors were different according to the types of early childhood education institutes. The parents' satisfaction degree on the early childhood education institutes was also different according to the types of early childhood education institutes. This result might be helpful in determining future directions for the improvement of the qualitative growth of early childhood education reflecting the demands and characteristics of parents.

기업부설연구소의 공간적 입지 유형 (The Location Patterns of Company-affiliated Research and Development Institutes)

  • 현대 경제는 첨단 산업의 발달로 연구개발 활동의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 우리나라의 기업 연구개발 활동의 공간적 분포 특징을 파악하고자 거시적으로 접근하였다. 분석 결과, 우리나라 기업부설연구소는 수도권 지역에서 높은 집중현상을 나타냈으나, 세부 분석에서 연구소들은 업종에 따라 상이한 입지 경향을 보였으며, 첨단산업의 성격이 낮을수록 연구소의 수도권 집중 현상은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기업의 규모가 클수록, 고급 연구 인력 확보 수준이 높을수록 연구소의 입지는 분산되는 경향을 보였다. 이외에도 기업부설연구소들은 본사나 공장과 한 장소에 입지하거나 같은 업종의 연구소들과 한 장소에 입지하는 경향이 있으며, 이러한 입지 행태는 지역적으로 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 특징들을 종합하여 본 연구에서는 연구소의 입지 유형을 4가지로 분류하였다.

  • In the 21st century, the traffic culture is changing suddenly with the advent of high-speed train era so called the traffic revolution age. The policy management for inducing the creativity becomes important for research institutes since the research institutes play an important role for the lead and distribution of new technologies. Therefore, the approach strategy of this investigation is based on the viewpoint of the organizational culture for better performance of research and development through stimulating inducements of creativity and active action of members. A questionnaire survey was performed on five research institutes including a professional railway research institute (PRRI) and four industrial research institutes for the current research, and a development plan for organizational culture of a PRRI has been presented based on the comparison study between two different types of research institutes.

  • Cyclooxygenase-2 ( COX-2 ) is an inducible enzyme which produces prostanoids by various stimuli. Overexpression of COX-2 in many tumor types indicates its association with tumor progression, which has been a promising target for chemoprevention and chemomodulation. We studied conc- and time-dependency of COX-2 inhibition, growth inhibition, and cell cycle arrest induced by celecoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor, in human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells. 정부출연연구기관의 산학연 공동연구 성과 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Collaborative Research in Government Research Institutes)

  • Research collaboration is regarded as core source to lead various innovations in all countries. This paper compares and analyzes the performance of Industry-University-Government Research Institutes (GRI) collaboration based on the four types of research collaborations; GRI-GRI, Industry-GRI, University-GRI and Industry-University-GRI. So this paper will show which collaboration type has the best work on each R&D step. We use four R&D steps; research, development, commercialization and overall. We also evaluate the performance of research collaboration of GRIs based on the collaboration types. In order to evaluate the performance of research collaboration, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is employed for measuring the efficiency of GRIs in this paper. DEA is a non-parametric approach to measuring the relative efficiency of decision-making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. The empirical results represent that the performance of collaboration with industry is generally superior to other collaboration types. These findings from this paper are expected to provide basic information for national collaboration strategy making.

  • Korea has been ranked at the top consecutively in UN e-Government Survey. This fact reflects consistent efforts by public institutes in Korea. However, there were some duplicate efforts and inefficiency in the investment into IS(information systems). In other words, management and decision making on e-government have yet to improved. Accordingly, governmental institutes have long been promoting policies for EA in order to carry out and manage effectively IT projects including the e-Government projects. EA is being regarded as a means to facilitate IT Governance for systematic management of IT projects, A major objective is to firmly establish the decision making process for IS investment through EA, since the each institute is a large organization with so complicated and specialized demand for IS. As a result, systematic decision making is becoming quite difficult. Thus, this study attempts to identify different types of IT investment decision making and to figure out the relationship between the decision types and the organizational performance of public institutes where EA was implemented.

  • A systematic support system that develops technology support policies for SMEs (Small and Medium sized Enterprises) and solves technical problems faced by SMEs will increase the productivity and competitiveness of SMEs. To this end, it is necessary to identify the types and level of technology required for SMEs, and to find ways to utilize the technologies possessed by government-funded research institutes leading technology development. It is important to develop a new production technology and to establish a cooperation system between SMEs and government- funded research institutes to solve various pending problems.

교사가 지각한 유아교육기관 원장의 지도성유형과 교사의 직무만족도 (The relationships between the leadership types of a chief in a preschool institute perceived by a teacher and the teacher's occupational satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between the leadership type of the chief and the occupational satisfaction of a teacher as well as the desirable type to fullfill the educational purpose of pre-school institutes. The subject of this study were 191 teachers in private pre-school institutes. Halpin's "Leadership Behavior Description Questionnaire" and Paula Jorde Bloom(1989)'s "Early Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey" have been modified and used for this study. The results are as follows: First, the leadership types of the chief teacher is recognizing can be classified into effective leadership, initiating structure, consideration, and ineffective leadership. Second, in regard to the occupational satisfaction of teachers they are satisfied with occupation itself and relationship between people rather than pay, social stability, and the environment of working. Third, the relationship between the leadership types of the chief and the occupational satisfaction shows the meaningful difference and consideration among the leadership types indicates the higher satisfaction of teachers. On the other hand, the type of ineffective leadership shows the lower satisfaction. As a result, the type of leadership of consideration contributes to the satisfaction rather than the types of leadership such as effective, ineffective, and initiating structure.

유형별 부채의 보유결정에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Determinants of the Household Use of Different Types of Debt)

  • This study investigated the effect of socio-demographic variables and the ownership of asset and the other types of debts on the use of a specific type of household debt. Household debts were categorized into six types according to borrowing sources: debts from banks, other financial institutes, employers, private sources, Gye, and retailers. The 1996 Korean Household Panel Study were analyzed using logistic model. It was found that socio-demographic factors influenced differently on the probabilities of debt holdings according to the types of debt. There were interrelationships among the ownerships of a specific type of debt and other types of debt and asset.

  • There have been fierce debates on the issue of generalizability of management functions, techniques, and practices between public and private sectors. Recognizing the growing concerns for the similarities and differences in R&D settings between the two sectors, we compared three public and three private R&D institutes in terms of environment and resources, project management, and R&D productivity. Our results show that there coexist similarities and differences at the same time between the two types of R&D institutes. So, we cannot conclude definitely whether R&D management is really generic or not. But, the authors weakly reject the assertion of generic property of management as far as R&D management is concerned.
