Performance Evaluation of Platinum Dispersed Self-humidifying Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Prepared by Using RF Magnetron Sputter

  • The performance evaluation on Pt loading in the self-humidifying polymer electrolyte membrane for Polymer Electrolyte Mem-Brane Fuel Cell(PEMFC) was investigated by using single cell test and measurement of membrane resistance. The self-humidifying membrane comprised two membranes made of perfluorosulfonylfluroride copolymer resin and fine Pt particles tying between them, coated by sputtering. From the results of performance characteristics of self-humidifying membrane cell with different Pt loading, a single cell using self-humidifying membrane with 0.15 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ Pt loading showed better performance than that with the others over entire current density. Also, a single cell with 0.15 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ Pt loading had a lower resistance value than the other cells under externally nonhumidifying condition. It is indicated that the water produced in the membrane cell with 0.15 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ Pt loading showed a higher provision to maintain ionic conductivity of the membrane than the other cells. The optimum amount of Pt particles embedded in the membrane for self-humidifying PEMFC was determined to be about 0.15 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

Determining differentially expressed genes in a microarray expression dataset based on the global connectivity structure of pathway information

  • Microarray expression datasets are incessantly cumulated with the aid of recent technological advances. One of the first steps for analyzing these data under various experimental conditions is determining differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in each condition. Reasonable choices of thresholds for determining differentially expressed genes are used for the next -step-analysis with suitable statistical significances. We present a model for identifying DEGs using pathway information based on the global connectivity structure. Pathway information can be regarded as a collection of biological knowledge, thus we are tying to determine the optimal threshold so that the consequential connectivity structure can be the most compatible with the existing pathway information. The significant feature of our model is that it uses established knowledge as a reference to determine the direction of analyzing microarray dataset. In the most of previous work, only intrinsic information in the miroarray is used for the identifying DEGs. We hope that our proposed method could contribute to construct biologically meaningful network structure from microarray datasets.

  • There have been many developments in super precision working technique and working method up to, now. But, it is very difficult to evaluate working surface accurately without the technicians experience and judgment. Surface roughness tester using stylus was used to measure surface condition generally But this method is not so desirable because of damage on test piece caused by contact between the workpiece and the stylus sensor. As a result, non-contact method was known as a good way to carry, out this process without damage. However, this is a difficult one among the various measuring methods. So we are tying to suggest a new method using texture analysis through image processing to get a surface information in worked test piece. Co-occurrence matrix using difference of gray levels between a pixel and its neighboring one was used to study behavior of surface roughness and to J acquire data for analysis. Standard specimen was adapted to verify this research. We suggest texture information method in order to evaluate surface state for the best measurement system.

  • This expressway passing the address region that is sightseeing of our country must consider in what do a convenience sincerity chase and a cultural side view. A region with development possibility and a spinoff about a cultural element must hold consideration at the same time to a sightseeing resort. This route that passed Gang-Reung, Yang-Yang, Sok-cho was connecting an obstetrics acid, and accessibility along investigation was a hard place. 현대여성패션에 나타난 벨트의 외적 특성에 관한 연구 (The Role of Exterior Features of Belts in Modern Women's Fashion)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the roles that the exterior features of belts play in modem women's fashion. Providing a new prospective on belt expression could be useful for developing and producing belts with newer and more unique fashion designs. This study included related studies, fashion magazines and collections produced both in Korea and abroad since 2000. The results of the study were as follows: 1. A belt can be used to stress femininity. For example wearing a broad belt rather than a thin belt emphasizes the waist, breasts or hips depending on the position of the belt, whereas simply Wearing a belt loosely on a tight or see-through dress can also emphasize femininity. 2. A belt can be used as a design element of a dress. The basic elements of a belt, such as leather used in combination with various colors, various manufacturing methods, and ornate buckle ornaments can produce elaborate decorative effects. However, when a belt is made from materials other than leather, the belt can have an ornamental quality on an achromatic dress. Finally, designing belts to be worn in non-conventional manners, such as girding or tying them, or wearing several belts on the arms, legs, shoulders and waist can result in new and expressive styles.

현대패션에 나타난 홀치기 염에 관한 연구 (A Study of Tie-Dye in the Contemporary Fashion)

  • This study is an attempt to explore the expressive techniques and characteristics of tie-dye shown in the contemporary fashion. In doing so, the study conducted a literature review and analyzed the works show cased for 2001S/S through 2010F/W, especially from the "big four" collections in Paris, Milan, New York and London. In the contemporary fashion, tie-dye techniques such as tying, folding and sewing are used in an independent or combined manner to express unique images. They also highlight decorative images in combination with a variety of decorative techniques including draping, pleating, beading. In light of its characteristics, tie dye expresses unique formative aesthetics with diverse patterns and creates more gorgeous images than when many different colors are used for dyeing. The dyeing process works as a critical factor influencing the overall image of design, as it is expressed as a pattern by being applied on the whole of an item rather than in part of clothes. The characteristics of tie-dye techniques used in the contemporary fashion are associated with the expressions of natural beauty, abstract decorative beauty, and dynamic rhythmical beauty.

조선후기 여성속옷을 응용한 의상디자인 연구 (A Study on the Traditional Clothing Design by Applying the late Joseon's Women Underwear Style)

  • This research analyzes the late Joseon's variously developed characteristics of women's underwear and its formative elements, and ultimately aims to apply such characteristics to designing modern outfits. The main purpose of the presented work is to give guidelines on utilizing the fashion legacy in a various way, and inheriting the traditional concept of beauty by developing it into modern fashion designs. The designing and producing of the work is based on the analysis of previous researches, genre paintings, and traditional costumes in museums. Based on this research, the application of traditional underwear design to today's outfits involves the following points. First, the presented work features the formative outlines of traditional underwear as an inspiration for outer garments. Secondly, various traditional textiles are used such as ramie fabrics, damask silk, silk fabrics, fur, etc. for four seasons and they are turned to practical use for modern outfits. Third, colors of choice are white and low saturation colors to create an elegant and serene atmosphere. Finally, traditional sewing techniques are specifically applied to modern fashion designs. Included are: Nubim technique, Gob-sol technique, and the patching method. This work pursues the design of practical use by tying up clothes with straps and knots to prevent them from falling off.

김해 대성동 88호분 출토 골제 빗 모양 장신구의 보존처리 (Conservation Treatment of Comb-shaped Bone Jewelry from Daeseong-dong Tomb No.88, Gimhae)

  • 김해 대성동 88호분에서 두 점의 빗 모양 장신구가 출토되었다. 에탄올과 여러 소도구를 사용하여 유물 표면의 이물질을 제거하였고, 셀룰로오스 계통 합성수지와 에폭시 수지로 접합, 복원하였다. 복원된 부분은 아크릴 물감으로 색맞춤하여 보존처리를 완료하였다. 두 점의 빗 모양 장신구는 빗살의 개수와 두께에서 차이가 있지만 제작방법은 동일하다. 동물의 척골로 추정되는 뼈를 다듬어 양 끝의 지지대로 놓았고, 그 사이에 뼈로 만든 빗살을 배치한 뒤, 견사로 여러 번 묶고 옻칠하여 살을 고정하였다.

  • 신경망 기반의 신호 분류 시스템은 비파괴 검사 시 추출되는 많은 양의 데이터를 처리하기 위한 방법으로 꾸준히 이용되고 있다. 비파괴검사 방법 중, 초음파 탐상법은 용접 지역에서 결함들을 찾기 위하여 비파괴 검사에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 추세다. 초음파 탐상법의 중요한 특징은 특정 신호에서 발생하는 불연속성을 판별해내는 능력이다. 지금까지의 보편화되어 있는 기술은 신호를 분류하기 위해 각각의 A-scan 신호를 처리하는 반면 본 논문에서는 이웃하는 A-scan 신호의 정보를 기반으로 하는 2차원 푸리에 변환(Fourier transform)과 주성분 분석(principal component analysis) 기법을 이용하여 특징 벡터를 추출, 분류하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Background : This study focuses on the new acupuncture method of embedding method which inserts a substance on the acupuncture points for continuous stimulation. Clinical applications and cautions were examined through literary investigations. Results : Based on the literary consideration of embedding method, the following results were obtained : 1. Embedding method is a combination of traditional and embedding technique to provide longer duration of stimulation on the acupuncture points. 2. To administer the embedding method, one needs to utilize a embedding thread besides acupuncture apparatus. Sheep gut is commonly used in China and the surgical thread is the choice in Korea. 3. Embedding method may vary from the patient to patient, depending on the nature and location of the illness. Piercing, embedding, and tying are some of the possibilities. 4. Embedding method may have different arrangement of threads based on the choice of usage. 5. Embedding method is effective for various chronic illnesses such as aches, functional diseases, and the diseases of internal organs. 6. When using the embedding methods, cautions against infection and side effects due to strong stimulation are mandatory.
