선분분류를 이용한 실내영상의 소실점 추출 (Vanishing Points Detection in Indoor Scene Using Line Segment Classification)

  • 본 논문에서는 선분분류를 이용하여 실내영상의 소실점을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 실내영상을 효율적으로 검출하기 위하여 2 단계로 소실점을 추출한다. 1 단계에서는 이미지가 1 점 투시인지 2 점 투시인지 판별한다. 만일 이미지가 2 점 투시이면, 선분분류를 위하여 검출된 소실점을 지나는 수평선을 구한다. 2 단계에서는 선분분류를 이용하여 2 개의 소실점을 정확히 검출한다. 또 본 논문에서는 인공영상과 이미지 DB를 이용하여 제안한 방법을 평가하였다. 노이즈를 첨가한 인공 영상에 대해서는 노이즈가 60%를 차지할 때까지 검출한 소실점과 실제 소실점과의 차이가 16 픽셀 이하였다. A. Quattoni 와 A. Torralba가 제안한 이미지 DB를 이용한 평가에서는 87% 이상의 이미지에 대하여 소실점을 검출하였다.

재활용 PET 폴리머 콘크리트의 휨 크리프모델 (Flexural Creep Model of Recycled-PET Polymer Concrete)

  • As polymer concrete become more widely used by design engineers, it is important that the viscoelastic mechanical behavior of these materials is properly taken into account. Also, an important consideration in the design of polymer concrete is the behavior of creep according to ages of polymer concrete. In this study, flexural creep test was performed on recycled-PET polymer concrete. An method of accelerating the flexural creep tests, called the two-point method, was developed. The two-point method uses the results of three 24-hours creep tests performed at elevated temperatures to develop a Prony series equation that predicts the long-term creep strains at room temperature. The test results demonstrated that two-point method can predict long-term creep strain with sufficient accuracy. The difference between the predicted creep compliance values from those obtained experimentally was less than 5 percent.

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two families of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings and a family of equilibrium problems by a new monotone hybrid method in Banach spaces. Because the hybrid method presented in this paper is monotone, so that the method of the proof is different from the original one. We shall give an example which is weak relatively nonexpansive mapping but not relatively nonexpansive mapping in Banach space $l^2$. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced in [W. Takahashi and K. Zembayashi, Strong convergence theorem by a new hybrid method for equilibrium problems and relatively nonexpansive mappings, Fixed Point Theory Appl. (2008), Article ID 528476, 11 pages; doi:10.1155/2008/528476] and [Y. Su, Z. Wang, and H. Xu, Strong convergence theorems for a common fixed point of two hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009), no. 11, 5616?5628] and some other papers.

Optimal locations of point supports in laminated rectangular plates for maximum fundamental frequency

  • This paper investigates the optimal locations of internal point supports in a symmetric crossply laminated rectangular plate for maximum fundamental frequency of vibration. The method used for solving this optimization problem involves the Rayleigh-Ritz method for the vibration analysis and the simplex method of Nelder and Mead for the iterative search of the optimum support locations. Being a continuum method, the Rayleigh-Ritz method allows easy handling of the changing point support locations during the optimization search. Rectangular plates of various boundary conditions, aspect ratios, composed of different numbers of layers, and with one, two and three internal point supports are analysed. The interesting results on the optimal locations of the point supports showed that (a) there are multiple solutions; (b) the locations are dependent on both the plate aspect ratios and the number of layers (c) the fundamental frequency may be raised significantly with appropriate positioning of the point supports.

  • The anchor is laid on seabed and the main engine is worked to against incident environmental loads in typoon. As the main engine is broken down in the storm, the anchor chain is cutted and the vessel is drifted. Although a ship is moored by two point mooring lines to keep the her position, a ship is crashed into a rock because of typoon and the accident of oil spilling may be occured. In this paper, we studied the position-keeping of a ship which is analyized based on the slow motion maneuvering equations considering wave, current and wind. The direct integration method is employed to estimate wave loads. The current forces are calculated by using mathematical of MMG. The two point mooring forces are quasisatatically evaluated by using the catenary equation. The coefficeints of wind forces are modeled from Isherwood’s emperical data and the variation of wind speed is estimated by wind spectrum. The nonlinear motions of a two point moored ship are simulated considering wave, current, wind load in time domain.

Although a ship is moored by two-point mooring lines to maintain her position, it has crashed into a rock because of a typhoon, resulting in a possible accidental oil spillage. In this paper, we studied maintenance of a ship's position, which is analyzed based on the slow motion maneuvering equations considering wave, current, and wind. Rapid Detection of H-RAS Point Mutation Using Two-Step Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism

  • Mutations in codon 12, 13 and 61 of one of the three ras genes, H-ras, K-ras and N-ras, convert these genes into active oncogenes. The presence of H-ras gene mutations have important prognostic implications in various cancers. In this study, the H-ras gene mutations were investigated by two-step PCRRFLP in patients with bladder and stomach cancer. For the control experiments, T24 and SK2 cell lines were used. In a total of 36 bladder cancer patient cases, five (13.9%) mutations were found by this method. Of these, point 12 mutations were two (5.6%) cases and point 61 mutations were three (8.3%) cases. On the other hand, H-ras mutation was not found in 29 cases of stomach cancer. The results of the mutated H-ras gene confirmed by direct sequencing analysis were correlated well with PCR analysis. From the sensitivity test, the H-ras mutation was found to have about 0.2% of mutated DNA mingled in normal DNA. In conclusion, the H-ras mutation has a higher clinical Significance in bladder cancer than stomach cancer. Moreover the two-step PCR-RFLP method is sensitive, rapid and relatively simple for clinical work in detecting H-ras point mutations.

The alternative Method to Finish Modular Exponentiation and Point Multiplication Processes

  • The aim of this paper is to propose the alternative algorithm to finish the process in public key cryptography. In general, the proposed method can be selected to finish both of modular exponentiation and point multiplication. Although this method is not the best method in all cases, it may be the most efficient method when the condition responds well to this approach. Assuming that the binary system of the exponent or the multiplier is considered and it is divided into groups, the binary system is in excellent condition when the number of groups is small. Each group is generated from a number of 0 that is adjacent to each other. The main idea behind the proposed method is to convert the exponent or the multiplier as the subtraction between two integers. For these integers, it is impossible that the bit which is equal to 1 will be assigned in the same position. The experiment is split into two sections. The first section is an experiment to examine the modular exponentiation. The results demonstrate that the cost of completing the modular multiplication is decreased if the number of groups is very small. In tables 7 - 9, four modular multiplications are required when there is one group, although number of bits which are equal to 0 in each table is different. The second component is the experiment to examine the point multiplication process in Elliptic Curves Cryptography. The findings demonstrate that if the number of groups is small, the costs to compute point additions are low. In tables 10 - 12, assigning one group is appeared, number of point addition is one when the multiplier of a point is an even number. However, three-point additions are required when the multiplier is an odd number. As a result, the proposed method is an alternative way that should be used when the number of groups is minimal in order to save the costs.

Development of a meshless finite mixture (MFM) method

  • A meshless method with novel variation of point collocation by finite mixture approximation is developed in this paper, termed the meshless finite mixture (MFM) method. It is based on the finite mixture theorem and consists of two or more existing meshless techniques for exploitation of their respective merits for the numerical solution of partial differential boundary value (PDBV) problems. In this representation, the classical reproducing kernel particle and differential quadrature techniques are mixed in a point collocation framework. The least-square method is used to optimize the value of the weight coefficient to construct the final finite mixture approximation with higher accuracy and numerical stability. In order to validate the developed MFM method, several one- and two-dimensional PDBV problems are studied with different mixed boundary conditions. From the numerical results, it is observed that the optimized MFM weight coefficient can improve significantly the numerical stability and accuracy of the newly developed MFM method for the various PDBV problems.

최대우도법을 이용한 라이다 포인트군집의 박스특징 추정 (Box Feature Estimation from LiDAR Point Cluster using Maximum Likelihood Method)

  • This paper present box feature estimation from LiDAR point cluster using maximum likelihood Method. Previous LiDAR tracking method for autonomous driving shows high accuracy about velocity and heading of point cluster. However, Assuming the average position of a point cluster as the vehicle position has a lower accuracy than ground truth. Therefore, the box feature estimation algorithm to improve position accuracy of autonomous driving perception consists of two procedures. Firstly, proposed algorithm calculates vehicle candidate position based on relative position of point cluster. Secondly, to reflect the features of the point cluster in estimation, the likelihood of the particle scattered around the candidate position is used. The proposed estimation method has been implemented in robot operating system (ROS) environment, and investigated via simulation and actual vehicle test. The test result show that proposed cluster position estimation enhances perception and path planning performance in autonomous driving.
