The current environmental issue is how a dwelling adapts into a given climate in which the design is applied by ecology without damaging the natural environment. In another word, the main issue in the twenty first century will be how we meet the human needs to dwellings applied by the residential environment. Therefore, we have to provide a hospitable place for residents' mental and physical health through "Green Design," emerging as the critical design of urban collective dwellings. Based on these conceptions, the purpose of this study is to suggest the way of designing the urban collective dwelling applied by ecology, proffering wealthy life style to residents with the preservation of natural environment as applying an ecological concept into the design of collective dwellings that represent a contemporary housing type for urban residents. In order to design the urban collective dwelling applied by ecology, this study introduces the outdoor design in friendly surroundings, the collective construct of a delightful housing, and the organic connection between inside and outside rooms.

At the time of discontinuing the publishing of RDA Journal of Farm management and agricultural engineering the present paper is to review the research results produced since 1962 to 1998. During the three decades, from 1960s to 1980s, the main research efforts were focused o mechanization of rice farming which contributed in food grain productions. In the 1990s, the research direction was shifted to horticultural productions and producing high quality agricultural products. We had put stress on practical use of farm mechanization, mainly on transplanting and seeding operation for rice and upland and horticultural crops productions and harvest and threshing machinery developments, in which we thought our research direction had not been quite right. However, in the future we are going to promote mechanization on livestock and upland crops productions. Furthermore, we have a plan to employ cutting edge technologies in agricultural machinery developments in order to automate and unman all farm operations satisfying the needs of advanced agricultural mechanization technology in the twenty first century.

The electronic trade(e-Trade) revolution is changing the international trade processes dramatically. It permits new kinds of interactions among exporting and importing firms as well as internally within the firms. Ever since the Internet became a popular communications medium in the 1990s, lawmakers have struggled to develop rules for determining which courts can hear disputes involving parties in different choice of law and jurisdictions. In conclusion, I suggest an ongoing research agenda for further refining and developing a more comprehensive cosmopolitan approach. Certainly, as these cases make clear, reconceptualizing the principles underlying court to-court relations is essential in a world where the idea of a transnational community of courts is fast becoming one of the dominant realities of twenty-first century law.

A church architecture which has an important meaning as a place which is for worship God, relationship, education, evangelism, service and formative meaning that express as a specific form. It has been changed by age or changes of theology, also its structure and form has been changed so as to change of a rutual. the church architecture that has been authorized as a architecture which is a representation of the age does not represent the age and it has weaknesses for expression of unique identification church has. Also, because it is lacking thoughts about regional viewpoint, it loses the characteristic of regional "landmark" like the past. In addition, a place of worship has been changed materiality of space like auditorium or seats so as to change of consciousness of worship, and it is exposed problems of expression of identification. Therefore the church architecture of twenty first centry needs to holy and be able to deliver their new standards and needs that fit original purpose of church for users.

Chaos theory, qualitative study of unstable aperiodic behavior in deterministic nonlinear dynamical systems, is dominant paradigm in the twenty first century. Fractal geometry, as an expressed form of chaos, now influences many areas such as architecture, art, music, economics, literature, etc. The purpose of this study is to analyze fractal geometry and fractal formative elements in architectural design. There are scaling, superimposition, distortion, deformation and repetition in the fractal form generator that can be applied to design concept and process in architecture. This study shows fractal geometry can be the architectural form creation method. Fractal geometry similar to nature's patterned order can be provided endless possibilities for design analysis and methodology in architecture. Therefore the further study of fractal geometry should progress synthetically through the basis of the study.

Total knee arthroplasty has become a common procedure for treatment of severe osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and post-traumatic arthritis. In the past, failure of total knee arthroplasty was commonly attributable to aseptic loosening, often associated with component malalignment, soft tissue imbalance. With improved surgical instrumentation and soft tissue balancing techiniques, failure secondary to mechanical loosening has been minimal. But surgeons are still dissatisfied with implant malalignment. Correct tibiofemoral alignment seems to be particularly important since it is generally agreed that axial deviation and imprecise implantation may lead to loosening of the implant component. Navigation systems and robotic techniques could potentially solve problems of imprecision in traditional total knee arthroplasty. It is expected that the success rate and longevity of total knee arthroplasty will be improved during the twenty first century.

The proliferation of digital libraries (DL) in the twenty-first century has revolutionized the way information is generated and disseminated. This has led to various practical and research models of DLs. This paper discusses the concept and development of digital libraries, and examines various components and characteristics of DLs. It further identifies various models and theories of digital libraries with a special focus on the DELOS Reference Model and 5S Theory. The relationship between the two focused frameworks is analyzed for better understanding of their application in the DL universe.

본 고는 Betty W.Taylor, Elizabeth B.Mann, Robert J.Munro 이 세사람 공동으로 1988년에 출간된 ‘The Twenty-First Century : Technology's Impact on Academic Research and Law Libraries'이란 책을 읽고 이에 대한 요약을 하고자 한다. 컴퓨터가 출현한지 불과 반세기에 지나지 않지만 그 위력은 심지어 가정에서부터 network를 통한 범세계적인 이용에 이르기 까지 매우 파급적이라 하겠다. 이러한 위력을 가진 컴퓨터는 현재 도서관 시스템에 들어와서도 상당한 영향을 미치고 있으며 미래에도 상당한 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 이 책은 컴퓨터와 털레커뮤니케이션의 발달에 따라 미래의 도서관이 어떻게 변화 될 것이며, 그에 따른 사서의 임무도 어떻게 변화될 것인지에 대한 우리의 궁금증을 풀어 주리라 기대된다. 원저서의 조사결과에 나타나는 문항의 비율이 0.1~.09% 정도의 오차가 별견되어, 전후비율은 정확히 조사하여 수정을 가하였음을 알려드립니다.

Accordingly, in order to resolve such a structural point at issue, this study has carried the newly designed and developed, 18 wooden, cultural craft items that were Produced by utilizing the ultramodern digital M/C installed at TIDIC (Tourism Industry Design Innovation Center in Kwangju University), it would contribute to achieve some global cultural products.

This paper is a comparative study of English loans in Russian and Swahili. In the twenty first century, due to the advantage of English as a global language, a language of technology and business, it has had contact with many languages of the world and has become a major source of loans to many languages. Though very different from each other, both Russian and Swahili currently have English as their main source of loanwords. This study reports the extensive adaptation of English loans by Russian and Swahili and examines how these loan items are assimilated into the two languages. It concludes that besides the adaption of pure English loans they have both employed other strategies such as loan translations, semantic extensions and loanblends for vocabulary expansion.
