The purpose of this study conducted a survey on 356 men in their twenties to investigate their recognition of their bodies. Also physical measurements were conducted on them and the lower parts of the bodies were classified into several types. The study examined the relevance of the subjects' recognition of their bodies to the physical types of the lower parts of the body. The results can be summarized as follows; There are four factors that constitute the physical shapes of the lower parts of the body and the lower parts of the body are classified into three physical types by cluster analysis. In terms of the degree of recognition of lower parts of the body shapes, the respondents' recognition of their bodies was similar to the actual measurements except for heights and leg lengths regardless of physical types, showing that they recognized well their actual physical types. With respect to the degree of satisfaction with body types, the surveyed were dissatisfied with thick circumference items and short length items. The actual measurements and the degree of recognition showed significant correlations in almost all the items while the actual measurements and the degree of satisfaction showed significant negative correlation in the circumference items. The degree of satisfaction with heights showed significant correlations with almost all measurements, demonstrating that the degree of satisfaction of the males in their twenties with the lower pats of body has closer correlations with the height items of the actual measurements that the circumference items. The degree of satisfaction with bodies was more dependent on people's recognition than the actual measurements.
The purpose of this thesis is in investigating the Korean twenties face color, according to the seasons, thus presenting a sample Korean Facial Color Map. The face is divided into 20 parts to take measures, and investigated through the four seasons. Minolta Chrome Meter CR-200 has been used for taking measures of the face color. Measuring subjects and area are, University students of both sex, living in the Suncheon. They are of ages the twenties. Classified measuring values of the skin colors are expressed following to the A. H. Munsell's color system. The result of this study is as followed. When comparing parts among male and female(make-up and no make-up) groups for changes with seasonal hue and value of a face color, differences have been sighted among these three groups following the seasons ; Spring(March), Summer(June), Autumn (September) and Winter(December). According to the result of Duncan's proof, the differences of the women group with the make-up attitude was shown only in value from Summer and Autumn, but no differences have been sighted between the make-up group and the no make-up group, concerning hue. Concerning hue, it was shown that men had a redder hue than women in all seasons. In Spring, both men and women had the strongest red hue, then from Summer to Autumn a strong yellowish hue appeared, to make place to a diverse coloring in Winter, followed by a reddish hue, to start all over again. Value number proved to be lower in the Summer and Autumn for the no make-up group when compared to the make-up group, showing an averaging high number for all seasons when putting on make-up; and men value number shows the lowest of the three groups.
Objective : Skin barrier protects skin against harmful environment. Its function includes antimicrobial barrier as well as physical barrier. But there are few studies about skin barrier function about men and women who don't have skin disease. The aim of this study is to investigate skin barrier function healthy men and women show. Method : There are many ways to measure skin barrier function, but lately transepidermal water loss is mainly used to know skin barrier function. Transepidermal water loss was measured over eight four the Korean twenties and thirties who don't have skin disease from March 14th, 2007 to March 16th 2007. We surveyed cubital fossa and cheek beside nose to measure transepidermal water loss and used vapometer. Result : After analyzed data, we concluded that cheek showed higher transepidermal water loss than cuital fossa. At cheek, the thirties had higher transepidermal water loss than the twenties. The male got higher transepidermal water loss than the female at cheek and in the average. And temperature and humidity effected on transepidermal water loss. Conclusion: In our study, it was observed that temperature and humidity effected on transepidermal water loss. In traditional korean medicine, the inbalance of cold(寒), heat(熱), dryness(燥), wetness(濕) makes many diseases and the inbalance of them induces dameum(痰飮) and the disorder of blood flow. Dameum(痰飮) and the disorder of blood flow make skin diseases made by abnormal skin barrier function in many ways. So we need to study dameum(痰飮) and the disorder of blood flow to take care of patients who have abnormal skin barrier function.
The aim of this study is to clarify the style of fashion design which represented three types of erotic mood. And it will have its significance in finding out some standards which call be applied to practical designing. The positive analysis on this study is composed of two parts-the analysis of fashion journals and of questionaire. PURPOSE: This study was aim to the change of muscle activities of lower extremity and waist during lifting a small object on the floor according to different foot position of women in their twenties wearing a skirt. METHODS: 9 women in their twenties wearing a skirt were selected and were measured the muscle activities of medial gastrocnemius (MG), tibialis anterior (TA), vastus lateralis (VL) and iliocostalis (IC) when they lifted a small object on the floor. The two different foot position employed were "both feet posed straight side by side" (condition 1) and "both feet posed diagonally to 45 degree" (condition 2) used. The order of feet position was selected randomly and the subject took a rest for 30 min between tests to prevent muscle fatigue. We calculated the mean and standard deviation of muscle activities and used Mann-Whitney U test to compare the difference between the two foot positions with SPSS(IBM Korea) RESULTS: The muscle activity of condition 2 was greater than that of condition 1 in right side of TA, VL, and IC and left side of TA, VL, MG and IC. The right side of TA, VL and left side VL were significant difference between condition 1 and condition 2(p<.05). CONCLUSION: We suggest "both feet posed straight side by side" position is better if a woman wearing a skirt lift the small object and it will help prevent the low back and lower limb problems in the future.
The purpose of this study was to assess the consumption patterns of Makoli and to provide age-specific suggestions to increase the popularity of newly developed products. The subjects of the study were 373 men and 329 women, and information was obtained by self-administered questionnaire in December of 2010. One major finding of the study was that regardless of gender, consumption of Makoli was correlated to age: older respondents drank more Makoli. Those in their thirties and older, especially women, drank Makoli at home with family. The reasons given for liking or disliking Makoli differed among age groups, but were the same between genders. More subjects in their twenties liked Makoli because of its distinctive taste, while more in their forties liked it for its cultural value. Subjects in their thirties disliked it because it caused headaches, while more in their forties complained of burping. Both genders in their twenties suggested that TV and internet advertisements may be the best strategy to increase the popularity of newly developed Makoli products, and women in their forties suggested promoting Makoli's health benefits. The low calorie content of new Makoli products appealed to women of all age groups and men in their twenties and thirties. Women in their forties were also attracted by Makoli's possible effect to alleviate constipation.
This study investigates the suitability of outdoor wear among female trekkers in their twenties or thirties and provides data for developing outdoor wear more suitable for young females. Recently climbing has gained popularity as a leisure activity to enjoy the beauty of nature that increases physical and mental stamina. A survey was conducted on 304 female consumers in their twenties and thirties who enjoyed climbing in order to investigate the suitability of outdoor wear among young female consumers. The questionnaire covered the subjects' demographic information, duration and goal of climbing, purchase and suitability of outdoor wear, and preferred design for outdoor wear. As for the yearly situations, when they utilized outdoor wear, the biggest number of respondents chose "autumn" as the season for climbing. Most of the respondents were non-professional trekkers who enjoyed climbing as a hobby or for health. As for the size, the upper garment was 90 and 85 in the order, and the lower garment was 70 and 67 in the order. The pants were the most common item they owned, followed by round T-shirts, windbreaker jackets, zipup T-shirts, and waterproof jackets. They mentioned moisture absorption and dry fabric breathability as the basic functions required of outdoor wear. The subjects displayed a preference for partial details under the design category. They most preferred the hood-type jacket with a detachable stand collar, the sleeve hem with a partial rubber band and velcro strap, a T-shirt with a stand color and zipper, the waist fit with proper room, pants with a partial rubber band waist, and straight silhouette pants.
This study is basic material for development of a smart girdle. Through the intentionally sampling of 313 consumers from teenagers to the forties who have experienced wearing girdles, lifestyles on consumer's age, attitude to health, favor of warm functional girdle, and possibility to acceptance were surveyed and analyzed by questionnaire. The result of the study are summarized as followed. 1. Analysis about lifestyle with warmth and attitude to health showed that subjects in their thirties and forties have higher than teenagers and the twenties in frequency of distribution. This means people are tend to have more attention to warmth and health as they grow older. 2. In result about analysis of characteristic of wearing girdle, subjects were prefer girdle made of cotton which have superior permeability and hygroscopic property. The reason that wearing girdle is to complement of weak points of body somatotype in the thirties and forties and feel the stability during menstrual period in the twenties and teenagers. The time zone of putting on girdle is mainly winter while one is out wearing one-piece or skirt. 3. When surveyed about the preference to functional warmth girdle and possibility to acceptance, the results were that the subjects in their thirties were first, forty something was second, followed by subjects in their twenties, teenagers. It was shown that over 60% subjects were highly distributed. With regard to necessity of functional warmth girdle, every age groups were shown over 3.6 at average. This result was inferred that subjects had positive possibility to acceptance about functional warmth smart girdle.
This study investigated the differences in the importance of store characteristics depending on on-line clothing store type and consumer age. The questionnaires were given to female residents in the ages between 20-39 in Seoul and Kyung-gi province during October 2006. The results were summarized as follows: 1. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics factors it was found that buying process service factor and product searching system factor were important in on-line general merchandise store. and buying process service factor and product factor(all the factors, such as store credit, product, screen-displayed design, searching and approaching system, customer management service) were important in on-line specialty store. 2. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics depending on the store type, buying process system such as refund policy, shipping, high-speed payment and rapid searching, screen-displayed design system, approaching and searching system were more important in on-line general merchandise store when comparing to specialty store. It also showed that the consumer considered the reputation of the store and its image more important in on-line general merchandise store. 3. By analyzing the differences in of on-line clothing store importance depending on age, in the case of on-line general merchandise store, it showed that people in their thirties regarded buying process service factor more important than twenties, and when it came to the product and searching system, it was vice versa. Twenties had a tendency to consider the aspect of product important and, relatively, thirties regarded searching and approaching system factor important. in the case of specialty store. It was found that women in their twenties had a tendency to consider product factor more important.
The purposes of this study were to identify dimensions of shopping orientation and preferences of fashion trade areas, to test differences in the preference factors and usage levels of fashion trade areas as determined by shopping orientation and demographic characteristics. Questionnaires were administered to 406 adults in their twenties and thirties visited major fashion trade area in Seoul. The results of the study were as follows. First, five groups were identified based on shopping orientation: combined value-oriented group, convenience-oriented group, hedonic value trend-oriented group, economic-value oriented group and brand-oriented group. Second, the most frequently visited trade area was Myungdong, and there were significant differences in the usage levels of the trade areas except Dongdaemun, Samsung station COEX, Jamsil and Gangnam Express Bus Terminal among the groups determined by shopping orientation. Sinsa Garosoogil, Apgujeong Chungdam and Samsung Station COEX were preferred by hedonic value trend-oriented group. Daehakro and Myungdong were preferred by combined value-oriented group and convenience-oriented group. Third, significant differences were also found in all groups in the preference factors of the trade area as determined by shopping orientation groups when purchasing clothing. Forth, female preferred Gangnam Express Bus Station and Jamsil than male did. Those who in their early twenties preferred Daehakro and Myungdong the most and those who in early thirties and late twenties concerned service policy the most. The results imply that the consumers tend to visit the nearest fashion trade area by their residence(or work, school) and consider the location and accessibility of the trade area as the most important factor.
