  • Currently, TK(Turn-key) projects have been implemented, the projects on TK basis still have shown several problems rather than its own merits as a bidding method. Increasing the number of claims being occurred during construction process of the projects is reality because of unclear notice of tender documents and conditions of the contract, design review system, and decision process of the qualified bidder. To establish desirable TK projects in domestic market, not only should resonable alternatives for carrying out design review system and selecting the bid winner be set up, but also proper standards for reforming irrational system of contract, bid, and notice of tender related to TK projects. This study is intended to reduce the number of claims and implement efficient projects of apartment construction on TK basis by identifying potential problems through analysis of claim examples of TK projects which have difficulties of revising contract agreement such as drawings and suggesting improvement methods for contract conditions and notice of tender docuements.

  • This study aims to find out actual conditions of environmental-friendly design on outdoor space of housing estate, and then to propose the direction of environmental-friendly design in order to construct the adequate environmental-friendly housing estates. First of all, this study investigated the environmental-friendly design elements on outdoor space of housing estates through literature survey and selected 9 major elements based on the result of the investigation. And then 15 KNHC housing estates were analyzed to find out design actualities of environmental-friendly elements. Major results of this study are as follows. 1) The environmental-friendly design elements were highly adopted in outdoor space of housing estates. The adoption rate of environmental-friendly design elements is 81.0% in average. But, 5 major elements were passively adopted out of 9. 2) According to the comparative analysis of KNHC housing estates, The adoption rate of environmental-friendly design elements was similar in metropolitan housing estates and non-metropolitan housing estates. But, the adoption level of environmental-friendly design element in metropolitan housing estates was higher than one in non-metropolitan. It shows that metropolitan housing estates are more activly adopted in 6 major elements. 3) According to the comparative analysis of design method of KNHC housing estates, The adoption rate and the adoption level of environmental-friendly design elements by turn-key design method and competition design method were higher than by general design. It shows that the housing estates designed by turn-key and competition design method are more activly adopted in 7 major elements.

  • Toward the practical applications, on operation of conduction-cooled HTS SMES at temperatures well below 77 K should be investigated, in order to take advantage of a greater critical current density of HTS and considerably reduce the size and weight of the system. Recently, research and development concerning application of the conduction-cooled HTS SMES that is easily movement are actively progressing in Korea. Electrical insulation under cryogenic temperature is a key and an important element in the application of this apparatus. Using multi wrapped copper by Polyimide film for HTS SMES, the breakdown characteristics of models for turn-to-turn, that is surface contact model, were investigated under ac and impulse voltage at 77 K. A material that is Polyimide film (Kapton) 0.025 mm thickness is used for multi wrapping of the electrode. Statistical analysis of the results using Weibull distribution to examine the wrapping number effects on breakdown voltage under at and impulse voltage in $LN_2$ was carried.

  • An easy and convenient synthetic route to (S)-2-hydroxy-2'-(3-phenyluryl-benzyl)-1,1'-binaphthyl-3-carboxaldehyde (1), capable of recognizing tryptophan by fluorescence has been developed. The binol carboxaldehyde 1 exhibited a high selectivity to L-tryptophan over other examined L-${\alpha}$-amino acids such as alanine, phenylalanine, glutamine, arginine, lysine, serine, threonine, aspartat, valine, histidine and cysteine, with a fluorescence "turn-on" signal. In addition, 1 displayed chiral discrimination with good enantioselectivity toward L-tryptophan over D-tryptophan through different fluorescence enhancement factors.

  • This paper reports a characteristic motion of a polarity inversion line (PIL) formed at the solar surface, which is newly found by performing a three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulation of flux emergence in the Sun. A magnetic flux tube composed of twisted field lines is assumed to emerge below the surface, forming a bipolar region with a PIL at the surface. A key finding is the successive half-turn rotation of the PIL, leading to the formation of a quadrupolar-like region at the surface and a magnetic configuration in the corona; this configuration is reminiscent of, but essentially different from the so-called inverse-polarity configuration of a filament magnetic field. We discuss a physical mechanism for producing the half-turn rotation of a PIL, which gives new insights into the magnetic structure formed via flux emergence. This presents a reasonable explanation of the configuration of a filament magnetic field suggested by observations.

  • A carbazole-based Schiff base CB2 was synthesized and applied as a highly selective and sensitive fluorescent probe for $Cu^{2+}$ in $H_2O$-DMSO (8/2, v/v, pH = 7.4) solution. CB2 exhibits an excellent selectivity to $Cu^{2+}$ over other examined metal ions with a prominent fluorescence "turn-on" at 475 nm. CB2 and $Cu^{2+}$ forms a 1:2 binding ratio complex with detection limit of $9.5{\mu}M$. In addition, the $Cu^{2+}$ recognition process is hardly interfered by other examined metal ions.

  • The strain rate effects on the interaction between a Mode I matrix crack and an inclined elliptic matrix-inclusion interface under dynamic tensile loadings were investigated numerically, and the results are in agreement with previous experimental data. It is found, for a given material system, that there are the first and the second critical strain rates, by which three kinds of the subsequent crack growth patterns can be classified in turn with the increasing strain rate, namely, the crack deflection, the double crack mode and the perpendicular crack penetration. Moreover, such a crack deflection/penetration behavior is found to be dependent on the relative interfacial strength, the inclined angle and the inclusion size. In addition, it is shown that the so-called strain rate effect on the dynamic strength of granule composites can be induced directly from the structural dynamic response of materials, not be entirely an intrinsic material property.

  • A shallow n+ layer of implanted phosphorus was used to lower the barrier height of PtSinSi schottky diodes. The reduction of barrier height of the forward turn-on voltages from 400mV to 180mV of the forward was followed by implantation of phosphorus at 35KeV with an ion dose of 8.0x10**12 atoms/cm\ulcornerand was activated at 925\ulcorner for 30min in dry O2. The test result showed that, as the ion-implanted dose increased, the forward turn-on voltage and reverse breakdown voltage were linearly decreased, but the saturation current and ideality factor(n) were linearly increased.
