Two human cases of Heterophyes heterophyes and H. dispar infections were proven by the recovery of their adult worms. The cases were 38-year and 40-year old Korean workers who had been in Saudi Arabia for 4~6 years and returned home in 1983 or 1984 with gastrointestinal troubles. In Saudi Arabia they had eaten raw brackish water fishes such as the mullet. After the treatment with 10 mg/kg praziquantel and purgation with magnesium salt, a total of 19 specimens of H. heterophyes and 140 of H. dispar were collected. It is of interest that the worms persisted in a patient although he had been back in Korea for 14 months. This is the first report on imported heterophyiasis in Korea. Human infection by H. dispar is the first record in the literature.

'Needle-embedding therapy', also called 'Acupoint Embedding Therapy' is the newly induced therapy which uses specialized tools. Embedded alien substance stimulates the acupoint and helps to keep the stimulation up. Needle-embedding therapy is mainly used for chronic diseases and deficiency syndromes, and also for other diseases including acute pain and excessive syndromes. Recently, clinical doctors are studying this therapy vigorously on the foundation of 'theory of meridian pathway' and applying for facial and body esthetics such as face-lift, correction skin troubles, depilation and so on. In spite of all these effect, theories for 'Needle-embedding Therapy' doesn't seem clearly arranged yet. So we, here, present the philological basis of 'Needle-embedding Therapy' from referring to old records and newly publicated papers and consider the new trend of this therapy in Korean and China.

In case of using pile foundation to support bridge abutments on soft ground, the soft ground often causes serious troubles such as lateral movement of the bridge abutments. The foundation piles in soil undergoing lateral movement is one of the typical passive piles. However, Generally, on design of the piles for abutments, the piles have not been considered as a passive piles; sofar:. Because it is difficult to assess the effect of the lateral movement on the desigin and reasonable design method is not established yet. In this study, several abutments, of which lateral movement was taken place, was investigated. Based on the investigation a criterion was presented to assess the lateral movement of the soft soil under backfill for abutment. By use of the criterion, the lateral movement of abutment could be predicted. As the results of thin study, it was anon that the lateral movement of abutment could be occured when the safety factor of slope stability is lese than either 1.5(without the pile effect) or 1.8 (with the pile effect). Especially, excessive lateral movements were occurred when the safety factor of slope stability is less than either 1.0(without the pile effect) or 1.1 (with the pile effect).

Generally, small and medium scale enterprises have conventionally been performing diligence and indolence management by hand, but many of them have been recently costing a lot of money for their diligence and indolence management and security maintenance. But yet, they have annoying sides due to the initial stage cost for the introduction of the system which is consisted of a terminal for reading a card, an RFID card, an administrative sewer and an application program for the diligence and indolence management as well as the insufficiency of the fixing skill being able to cope with the problems originating from hardware and software troubles. For this reasons, we developed a new diligence and indolence management system that the initial stage cost is moderate because it is needless to purchase a new server and to issue a new card, and the operation and management of the system is convenient because an RFID card reader communicates with a central administrative server in IDC(Internet Data Center) over internet for the diligence and indolence management.

Dam-eum(痰飮) is peculiar pathological product which is caused by functional difficulty in human fluid replacement and that principally originated functional difficulty between Lung(肺), Spleen(脾), Kidney(腎) and Sam-Cho(三焦). Dam-eum(痰飮) comes into force to disorder about ascending, decending, in and out of human energy circulation and frequently raises functional difficulty in human fluid replacement. As a result of that, it has much effect on action of Spirit(神志). After literatual study on the effect of Dam-eum(痰飮) on Spirit(神志), the result were obtained as follows : Dam-eum is not affecting to Spirit by itself. When Dam-eum is Positive Symptom(實證), Yang Symptom(陽證), mainly it affects to Spirit with Pung(風), Hwa(火), Kyung(驚), Youl(熱). And when it is Negative Symptom(虛症), it mostly affects with 脾胃虛寒, 心血不足. Dam-eum is a factor of causing disharmony between Heart & Kidney(心腎), Heart & Liver(心肝), Stomach & Gall Bladder Line(胃膽經) by 痰迷心竅, 痰火擾心. So it brings out troubles of fluid replacement. These are the main circumstances of affecting Spirit. To cure Disease of Spirit(神志病), which is caused by Dam-eum, there are not only uses the treatment of 理痰氣, 豁痰開竅. There are two treatments to use together. The first treatment is 淸熱, 定驚, 息風, 淸心 that removes fitted toxin. And the other treatment is that keeps the balance of Internal Organs.

This study analyzes use and operation of silver ambulance with 110 patients who had used silver ambulance in Gwangju and Jeonnam regions from June of 2006 to June of 2007 and 53 paramedics who are involved directly in ambulance operation and the results of this analysis are as follows. 1. Users' health conditions, 69.1% of users answered as bad and 67.3% suffered from chronic diseases over 3 months and it was found that they used silver ambulance due to their bad health conditions. 2. Cronbach's alpha was 0.630 and family function index was generally reliable and solution was high as 1.60, but total points were low as 7.11 and it was considered that they had family troubles. 3. On the question of ambulance use, 44.5% answered they used it because it is free, 53.6% used it for appointed medical examination and treatment and 18.1% used it for emergency. 4. Degrees of satisfaction with ambulance and paramedics were 95.4% and 76.4% respectively and 80.0% of ambulance users answered ambulance arrived quickly within 15 min. 5. Correlation($x^2 $) between family or relative's residence and frequency of visits was 86.367 and its significance probability was 0.00 and it was found that it was significant in the level of 0.1%, but correlation($x^2 $) between visitors other than family or relatives and frequency of visits was 14.768 and its significance probability was 0.25 and it was found that it was not significant in the level of 5%. 6. Correlation($x^2 $) between transfer operation speed and mobilization time was found that it was not significant in the level of 5%. Correlation($x^2 $) between their own health condition purpose of ambulance use was 13.802 an 5.696 and its significance probability was 0.93 and it was found that it was not significant in the level of 1%, and it was considered because paramedics carried patients with safe operation.

Fold cracking is one of quality troubles of coated papers. In this study, the fold cracking of high grammage ($250g/m^2$) coated paper made with the different pulp composition and layer structure of base paper was investigated. The single layered, high grammage base paper was prepared by mixing of hardwood and softwood bleached kraft pulp fibers with the different ratios. The high grammage coated paper showed the higher fold cracking than low grammage coated paper because of the increase in thickness. The increase in the content of softwood pulp fibers reduced the fold cracking in the case of high grammage coated paper. When the creasing process was conducted before folding process, the fold cracking of coated paper decreased. By manufacturing the base paper with multiply structure, the fold cracking of coated paper could be reduced significantly, especially when the BCTMP and OCC were used as a middle layer and the creasing process was carried out. The delamination of layers in base paper affected the fold cracking positively.

Objective : In Modern society, patients with facial nerve paralysis are increasing because of many factors - irregular life, cold, overwork and stress etc. We have troubles in presuming the prognosis, though how to diagnosis and examine facial nerve paralysis are many. Methods : A clinical study was done on 89 patients who were diagnosed and treated as facial nerve paralysis(Bell's palsy) from January 2001 to May 2003 at the Dep. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, college of Oriental Medicine, Woo-suk University. We classified 89 patients as the Sasang(四象) constitution, contributing factor, season, age and existence of diabetes items and analyzed, as we would research differences of changing point-Period from on set of Bell's palsy to the day which the change begins to be seen at the face- and improvement -Period which Bell's palsy is improved from on set to H-B grade II. Results : 1. Among the Sasang constitution, Soeumin($10.67{\pm}3.77days$) were faster than other constitutions, but Soyangin($16.25{\pm}6.75days$) were slower than other constitutions in changing point. Taeumin($4.12{\pm}1.49weeks$) were shorter than other constitutions, but Soyangin($4.88{\pm}2.11weeks$) were longer than other constitutions in improvement. 2. Among contributing factors, overwork and stress group were slower than other contributing factors in changing point($13.95{\pm}6.52days$), and longer than others in improvement($4.67{\pm}1.87weeks$). 3. Changing point and improvement of season, age, and existence of diabetes had the difference of the average according to an each item, but they were not statistically significant. 4. In 89 patients with Bell's palsy, average changing-point was $13.11{\pm}5.99$(days) and average improvement was $4.47{\pm}1.82$(weeks). Their correlation was 0.687 and statistically significance(P<0.01), therefore we could decide that their relation is highly correlation.

This study is to provide the basic sources to develop educational data that can establish ethical values with research on the interrelation between moral development and ethical values of nurses. The subjects of this study are the convenience sample from 111 nurses working in clinical settings from 5 general hospitals located in Pusan area. The questionnairs for this study are comprised two parts: Part 1 is SRM-SF(1995) guestionnaire, and translated by Kil, 1m Ju(1997): Part 2 is the guestion papers about the ethical values, and disigned by Jung, Hee Ja. The data were collected from June lth to 31th, 1997 and analyzed by S.A.S(Statistical Analysis System) Package for frequency, percent, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of the study is as the followings: 1) According to the moral development. the nurses are in the levels of Stage3 or Transition3/4, which are generally focused on the personal relations or personality. Thus, nurses are considered to need to get the stage4 of education that helps them recognize a person as a member of society. a family as an unit of society, and human life as the values of human dignity. 2) According to the ethical values, nurses have the positive ethical values of respecting the right of the patients, providing information, keeping the secret, truth. and credit of patients. But they also experience some troubles by the patients to care and the clinical situation. Thus, to overcome the problems, nurses are considered to need to get the education that establishs the right ethical values. 3) The analysis result on the interrelation between moral development level and ethical values shows as r=0.28 and p=0.003. This indicates that the interrelation between them is low. In conclusion, it is considered that the moral development level is viewed broadly from a person and family to a society, and then it can affect to the ethical values positively.

Safflower is called as the 'beneficial flower' because 'it helps human health', and it was introduced as red flower in Tonguibogam due to the red color of floral leaf. From old times, it has been used for the material of cloth and rouge. Recently, polyphenol compound, the main ingredient of safflower, known as anti-aging and anti-oxidizing material in the healthy food industry becomes the emerging hot topic. This study aims to confirm by DDT (Disk Diffusion Test) assay, MTT assay, and NF-${\kappa}$B Luciferase activity inhibition assay in vitro that polyphenol compound, which is the main ingredient of safflower, has the anti-microbial efficacy to inhibit the growth of acne germs that make troubles for the teenagers or middle aged. Also it aims to evaluate its clinical efficacy on the acne skin, utilizing the facial cleansing cosmetic form of soap sample. This study can contribute to take a major step forward to the development of cosmetic soap for acne in the cosmeceutical industry.
