  • This paper proposes an algorithm for switching LQ(Linear Quadratic) controllers designed at each flight envelope without a bump phenomenon. This algorithm is derived to apply to LQ controller more easily than existing implementation algorithm and is proposed to consider trim points of nonlinear models, which is adequate to real applications. This paper exemplifies the control performance improvement via simulations applied to LQ control of a supersonic test aircraft as a benchmark problem to test the proposed algorithm performance.

Numerical Simulation of Unsteady Rotor Flow Using an Unstructured Overset Mesh Flow Solver

  • An unstructured overset mesh method has been developed for the simulation of unsteady flow fields around isolated rotors and rotor-fuselage configurations. The flow solver was parallelized for the efficient calculation of complicated flows requiring a large number of cells. A quasi-unsteady mesh adaptation technique was adopted to enhance the spatial accuracy of the solution and to better resolve the rotor wake. The method has been applied to calculate the flow fields around rotor-alone and rotor-fuselage configurations in forward flight. Validations were made by comparing the predicted results with those of measurements. It was demonstrated that the present method is efficient and robust for the prediction of unsteady time-accurate flow fields involving multiple bodies in relative motion.

  • There are concerns about the influence of the gust wind caused by helicopters affecting the moving vehicles while hovering over the road during rescue activities. For the understanding of such complicated flow. numerical simulation of a rotor hovering above the ground has been carried out, changing the rotor/ground clearances. The rotor thrust is kept constant. and the rotor control is determined by trim adjustments incorporated into the CFD algorithm. Collective pitch angle and the required power decreases with the rotor/ground clearance which agrees with experience. Changes of the flowfield near the rotor with regard to the rotor height are investigated based on the calculated results.

  • On the cold start of LPG engine, as the engine temperature has not reached its equilibrium temperature, liquid LPG could not be changed perfectly gaseous LPG, although it was passed to the vaporizer. Liquid and gas mixed fuel could influence starting ability and exhaust emission characteristics of LPG engine. In this study, the vaporization characteristic of liquid LPG was investigated with a conventional vaporizer and the vaporizer with heat source(glow plug) installed at preheated chamber inlet, by using the visualization methods and engine test. According to visualization result, even if the engine coolant temperature was $14^{\circ}C$, liquid fuel was supplied to primary chamber over 25 seconds without vaporizing from preheated chamber in such a conventional vaporizer. However, the vaporizer with heat source do not correspond with that, scarcely had been trim on glow plug when LPG began to vaporize. The effectiveness of heat source could be verified by application to the conventional LPG engine.

  • Lightweight board has been used for manufacturing various fields of automotive interior trims for years. The GMPU board was constructed with glass fiber mat, honeycomb and polyurethane foamed using polyol and isocyanate materials which were sprayed by robot that is interlocked foaming machine. For more lightweight and cost reduction this paper shows how to optimize GMPU process parameters that related to foaming condition, robot position and robot velocity for polyurethane weight. The results show that flexural strength and modulus of board's specimens were evaluated by robot velocity and moving pattern. Based on that, a innovative process was developed for more lightweight and cost reduction.

The Effects of Panax Ginseng on Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats: Meta Analysis

  • The present study was carried out to summarize the effect of ginseng in the experimental diabetic rats by meta-analysis related studies. The association measure to test effect of ginseng was the mean difference(MD) between group of rats induced streptozotocin(STZ) and group of rats induced STZ treated with ginseng about the considered effect factors. The level of FI, glucose and TG were significantly reduced(< 0.01), and the level of glycogen was significantly increased by treatment with ginseng (< 0.01) After checking the indication of publication bias for the combined MDs by using the funnel plots, the anti-diabetic effects of ginseng is clearly presented in FI, glucose, TG and glycogen (< 0.05).

Spectro-ellipsometric Analysis of SIMOX Structures (분광 타원해석법에 의한 SIMOX 층구조 분석)

  • 200keV의 에너지로 산소 이온들을 주입한 후 열처리하여 만든 SIMOX의 층구조를 분광 타원해석법을 이용하여 비파괴적으로 분석하여, 약 $300AA$의 계면층과 $800\AA$의 매몰산화층이 $3360\AA$ 정도의 결정성 실리콘층 아래에 존재하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 매몰산화층의 분포와 TRIM 전산시늉 결과의 비교로부터 매몰산화층의 형성은 산소 이온들이 열처리에 따라 이온 주입시 실리콘의 비정질화가 최대인 곳 주변으로 이동하여 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. 또한 측정 위치에 따른 분광 타원해석 상수들의 변화로부터 이온주입시의 이온빔의 형태와 주사 방향의 영향으로 생긴 SIMOX층구조의 비균일성을 알 수 있었다.

Repetitive Strain Injury on Automobile Assembly Process and Alexander Technique

  • In the trim line of an automobile assembly process, 52.9% of the subjects complained the shoulder and low back pain simultaneously. The Alexander Technique is an educational method which shows people how they are misusing their bodies and how their daily habits of work can be harmful. It also teaches people how to avoid work habits which create excessive amounts of static work and how to reduce the amount of unnecessary muscular force they are applying to their bodies. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the importance of repetitive strain injury on automobile assembly line process and contribute reducing the repetitive strain injury through Alexander Technique.

  • It is recognized that the control surface fault is detected by monitoring the value of the coefficients due to the control surface deviation. It is found out the control surface stuck position by comparing the trim value with the reference value. To detect and isolate the fault, two mixed methods apply to the real-time parameter estimation and similarity measure. If the scatter of aerodynamic coefficients for the fault and normal are closing nearly, fault decision is difficult. Applying similarity measure to decide for fault or not, it makes a clear and easy distinction between fault and normal. Low power processor is applied to the real-time parameter estimator and computation of similarity measure.

Determination of Design Parameters for Automobile Parts Recycling (자동차 부품의 재활용을 위한 설계시의 주요인자 결정)

  • In this paper, same parts of a domestic automobiles and foreign automobiles are disassembled fur the evaluation of disassemblability, especially door trim and bumper. Influencing factors of disassembly are determined by the classification of bottleneck process in disassembly process. On the bases of disassembly sequence and structure of parts and subassembly, disassemblability is classified into aye categories. The influencing factors, which are related with the five categories are determined. By these relations, the checklist for disassembly evaluation is draw up and score tables of checked factors are established. For the establishing the disassembly score tables, the weighting values of each five categories are calculated by the disassembly test of automobiles and then, the weighting values of each influencing factors of five categories are calculated by the method of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). And the last, the weighting values are modified and recalculated from the disassembly test. Using these weighting values, the score of influencing factors are determined and then, the score tables are established based on the score of influencing factors.
