일부 남자대학생의 비만지수에 따른 혈중 Leptin 농도 연구 (A Study on Serum Leptin Concentrations by Obesity Index in Male College Students in Korea)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the basal leptin concentrations in normal(n=17, BMI 20-25, obesity index 90-110%) and overweight(n=13, BMI > 25, obestity index > 120%) Korea young aldult males, and correlation between leptin concentrations, nutrients intake, anthropometry and other biochemical parameters. Nutritional status, serum leptin and biochemiccal parameters were evaluated based on 24hr-dietary records, anthropometric measurement and blood analysis. Obesity index were 138% and 101% in overweight and normal group, respectively. Serum leptin concentration was higher in overweight group than that in normal group (8.65$\pm$ 9.41 vs 2.06 $\pm$ 1.19, p<0.05). Serum triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol and insulin concentrations were higher in overweight group than in normal group(p<0.05). Nutrients intakes was not different between two group. The leptin concentrations were correlated with body weight(p<0.001), BMI(p<0.05), obesity index(p<0.05), waist circumference(p<0.05), animal lipid intake(p<0.05)in overweight group.

미세결정화키틴과 팜유의 수준을 달리한 식이가 흰쥐의 지방대상에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Micro Crystalline Chitin and Palm Oil on the Lipid Metabolism in the Rat)

  • The effects of MCC and palm oil at different levels on lipid metabolism were assessed in adolescent rat. Dietary fat levels were 20% and 40% (kcal/kcal) and MCC level were 0%, 2%, and 4% (wt/wt). The experimental period took 8 weeks. During the experiment, weight gain and food efficiency ration were not affected by dietary factors. The weight of thymus however, was lower in high fat groups than in middle fat groups. The contents of total lipid and total cholesterol in plasma and HDL-cholesterol in plasma and HDL-cholesterol were significantly affected by dietary factors. The concentrations of cholesterol in LDL and VLDL , and the triglyceride content of VLDL was higher in high fat groups than in middle fat groups. Adding MCC lowered the LDL triglyceride in the high fat groups. The analysis of plasma fatty acids generally reflected the composition of the dietary palm oil. MCC had significant effects on total lipid and triglyceride of feces, but not on total cholesterol . In conclusion, the level of MCC had little hypolipodemic effects on lipid metabolism in rats fed a high fat diet. the middle fat group that contained 4% MCC showed increased contents of fecal triglyceride than the others, indicating that MCC had an effect on lipid absorption. Therefore, the other physiological functions of MCC need to be tested for their useful applications.

Caffeine 투여시 Rat의 혈액내 혈액화학성분의 변화 (Changes of the blood chemistry components in serum of the rat after oral administration of caffeine)

  • This study was conducted to identify the effects of caffeine on the change of blood chemistry components in the serum of the rat(Sprague-Dawley, female). The experimental groups were divided into 7 groups according to the time lapsed after a single oral administration of 100mg/kg caffeine(that is control, 2, 4, 8, 24, 48 and 72 hrs lapsed group) to the rats. The concentrations of glucose, urea nitrogen, uric acid, creatinine, total protein, albumin, A/G ratio, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, free fatty acid and phospholipid as well as the activities of alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) were measured in the serum of each experimental groups. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows ; 1. The concentrations of serum glucose were significantly higher($\rho$<0.01) between 4 (143.0 mg/dl) and 8 hrs(138.0mg/dl) in comparison to the control(101.1mg/dl) after a single oral administration of caffeine(100mg/kg). Whereas there were no significant differences in the concentrations of urea nitrogen, uric acid, creatinine, total protein, albumin and albumin/globulin(A/G) ratio in comparison to the control. 2. The concentrations of total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol in serum were significantly higher ($\rho$<0.01) between 4(77.4mg/dl, total cholesterol) and 8 hrs(64.7mg/dl, HDL-cholesterol) in comparis to the control(62.8, 46.7mg/dl) after a single oral administration of caffeine (100 mg/kg). On the other hand, the concentrations of triglyceride in serum were significantly lower($\rho$<0.01) after 8 hrs(38.8mg/dl) in comparison to the control(66.5mg/dl). 3. The activities of AST in serum was significantly higher($\rho$<0.05) from 2 hrs(149 U/L) to 8 hrs(178 U/L) in comparison to the control(112 U/L) after a single oral administration of caffeine (100mg/kg). The activities of ALT in serum were significantly higher($\rho$<0.01) at 4(45.5 U/L), 24(49.3 U/L), 48(46.8 U/L) and 72 hrs(42.3 U/L) in comparison to the control (39.7 U/L) after a single oral administration of caffeine (100mg/kg) On the other hand, there were no significant differences in the activities of ALP in comparison to the control.

체중에 따른 일부 초등학교 아동의 혈청 중 포도당, 인슐린 및 지질농도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Serum Concentrations of Glucose, Insulin and Lipid in Elementary School Children by Body Weight)

  • 본 연구는 학동기 아동의 정상적인 성장과 건강 증진을 위한 구체적인 영양교육의 기초자료를 마련하고자 경남 사천시에 위치한 D초등학교의 특별한 질환을 갖고 있지 않는 $4{\~}6$학년 남녀 학생 98명을 대상으로 저체중군, 정상체중군, 과체중군으로 분류하여 신체계측, 혈청 중 지질, 포도당 및 인슐린 농도를 측정하고 그들의 상관관계를 살펴본 바, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 신장은 남녀 아동 모두 저체중군에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, BMI 및 WHR은 남자아동 과체중군이 $25.6{\pm}2.2 kg/m^2,\;0.90{\pm}0.05$로 가장 높았고 여자아동 저체중군이 $15.1{\pm}1.0\;kg/m^2,\;0.76{\pm}0.04$로 가장 낮았다. 남녀아동의 수축기 및 이완기 혈압은 평균 113.76mmHg, 74.34 mmHg였고 성별 및 체형별 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 남녀 아동 모두 체중이 높은군일수록 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 LDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 높게 나타난 반면 HDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 낮게 나타났는데 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 LDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 남자아동인 경우 체형군별b유의적인 차이가 매우 컸으며 (p<0.001) 남자아동 과체중군이 가장 높았고, HDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 여자아동 정상체중군이 가장 높게 나타났다. 혈당 농도는 여자아동 과체중군이 $93.06\pm10.55\;mg/dL$로 가장 높았고 여자아동 저체중군이 $82.49\pm12.51\;mg/dL$로 가장 낮았다. 인슐린 농도는 성별 및 체형별 유의적인 차이가 매우 컸으며 (p<0.001), 남녀 아동 모두 과체중군이 각각 $12.06{\pm}3.17\;{\mu}U,\;16.19\pm4.80\;{\mu}U$로 가장 높았고 남자아동은 정상체중군이 $7.61{\pm}3.36\;{\mu}U$, 여자아동은 저 체중군이 $9.42{\pm}3.63\;{\mu}U$로 가장 낮았다. 남녀 아동 모두 BMI 및 WHR이 높을수록 혈당, 인슐린, 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 LDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 높게 나타났으며 , BMI는 남자아동인 경우 인슐린, 중성지질, LDL-콜레스테롤 농도와, 여자아동인 경우 인슐린 농도와 매우 높은 유의적인 정상관을 보였고(p<0.001), WHR은 여자아동인 경우 인슐린 및 중성 지질농도와 유의적인 정상관을 나타내었다(p<0.01). 남녀 아동 모두 인슐린 농도가 증가할수록 혈당과 중성지질 농도는 유의적으로 높게 나타났고, 수축기 및 이완기 혈압과 혈청 지질농도와는 유의적인 상관관계를 나타내지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 볼 때 아동기 라 해도 과체중은 고지 혈증, 동맥경화 및 당뇨병을 초래할 우려가 사려되는바 평상시 올바른 식습관과 운동으로 정상체중을 유지하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하며 과체중 아동인 경우에는 체중감소를 위한 적극적인 영양교육이 요구된다고 하겠다.

식용버섯과 식물성 유지의 혼합급여가 흰쥐 간장의 지질성분 및 지방산 조성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Feeding Mixture of Mushrooms and Vegetables Oils on the Lipid Component and Fatty Acid Composition of Liver in Rats)

  • This study was designed to observe the effects of the mixed diets of edible mushrooms and vegetables oils on the lipid component and fatty acid composition in liver of the diet induced hydpercholesterolemic rats. Ten groups of male S.D. rats were fed a basal diet supplemented with 5% of one of three mushrooms(G.I, L.e, A.j) and 10% of one of three vegetable oils (olive ,safflower perilla) for three weeks. In liver, total cholesterol concentration was significantly low in group 3 (olive oil 10 % + L. edodes 5%) and 6 (safflower oil 10 % $_2$L. edodes 5%) , triglyceride concentration was low in groups 8 (perilla oil 10 % + g. lucidum 5%) and 9 (perilla oil 10% + L. edodes 5%) and phospholipid concentration was significantly low in groups 3, 5, (safflower oil 10 % + G.lucidum 5%), 6, 7 (safflower oil 10 % + A .judae 5%) 8, 9 and 10 (perilla oil 10% + a. judae 5%). in the fatty acid composition of total lipid inliver, monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) concentration s were high in groups 2 (olive oil 105 + g. lucidum 5%), 3, and 4 (olive oil 10% + A. judae 5%) and all the perilla oil groups, polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) and linoleic aicd concentrations were signifciantly high in all the safflower oil groups. In the fatty acid composition of liver phospholipid , PUFA concentrations were ghih but MUFA concentrations were low. In the triglyceride component, MUFA were some more than saturated fatty acid (SFA) . In the cholesteryl ester component, MUFa concentrations were significantly high. In the fatty acid composition of liver lipid components, linholeic acid was high in the PUFA and so it was major fatty acid. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) of phospholipid component in liver was significantly high.

지방간 모델에서 가시오가피 발효물의 간 기능 개선 효과 (The Hepatoprotective Effect of Acanthopanax senticosus Fermentation Products in Fatty Liver Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 두 종류의 가시오가피 발효물 추출물(FM-5111, FM-5131)에 대한 지방간 예방 및 개선 효능을 검토하였다. 그 결과 FM-5111, FM-5131 모두 ethionine과 ethanol 지방간 모델에서 간 손상의 지표인 AST의 수치를 감소시키며, 간 내 총 지질량과 중성지방 함유량을 감소시키는 효능을 보이고 있다. 특히 간 내 총 지질량과 중성지방 함유량의 감소 정도로 보았을 때, ethanol 지방간 모델에서 더욱 두드러진 효능을 보이고 있다. 따라서 FM-5111과 FM-5131은 비알코올성 지방간 형성을 예방하고 알코올에 의해 형성된 지방간을 개선하는 효능을 가지고 있으며, 비알코올성 지방간과 알코올성 지방간 모델에서 간 손상 등을 억제하는 것으로 판단된다.

대두(생콩)급여가 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 지질농도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Raw Soy Flour(yellow and black) on Serum Glucose and Lipid Concentration in Streptozotocin-induced Diabetic Rats)

  • This study investigated the effect of raw soybean yellow(RSY) and raw soybean black(RSB) on body weights, pancreas weights, serum glucose and lipid concentrations of boty normal and diabetic male rats(Sprague-Dawley, body weight 338.8$\pm$19.2g). For each experimental, some rats were injected with streptozotocin intraperitoneal(i.P.) to induce diabets, and other rats were injected with buffer i.P. as a control group. Body weight gain(BWG) was lower in rats fed both RSY and RSB diet(3.4~5.0g BWG) than in those fed control diet(58.1g BWG). The diabetic rats showed significant decrease of bo요 weight (-50~-67g) compared with the control rats. RSY and RSB feeding resulted in greater pancreatic weight relative to body weight, and diabetic rats fed RSY and RSB had heavier pancreatic weights relative to body weight than control rats. The levels of fasting serum glucose in diabetic rats fed both RSY and RSB decreased by 42 and 31%, respectively, compared with the diabetic control rats, but they increased by 80 and 110% compared with the normal control rats. The concentrations of total lipid, triglyceride, phospholipid and total cholesterol in serum of diabetic rats fed RSB diet were lower than those in control rats, but serum HDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol/total cholesterol ratio were not affected by raw soybeans feeding. Atherogenic index wa lower in diabetic rats fed RSY and RSB diet than those in control rats. The concentrations of total lipid, triglyceride and phospholipid in liver were lower in raw soybean groups than those in control group. The concentrations of cholesterol in liver of groups treated raw soybean were decreased compared with the control group.

Orotic Acid-유발 지방간에 미치는 Capsaicin의 개선효과 (Improvement Effect of Capsaicin Against Orotic Acid-Induced Fatty Liver in Rats)

  • Orotic acid(OA)-유발 지방간 흰쥐의 혈청 및 간장의 지질농도, 임상생화학적 및 조직형태학적 변화에 미치는 cap-saicin(CS)성분의 영향을 검토하였다. 기본식이에 OA 1%, CS 0.02% 및 OA와 CS를 각각 1%와 0.02% 수준으로 첨가하여 4주간 섭취 시켰다. 간장 중성지방 농도는 대조군에 비해 약 4.7배 현저히 증가하여 지방간이 유발되었으나, OA十CS 동시투여에 의해서는 간장 중성지방 농도가 OA군에 비해 38% 감소하여 지방간이 개선된 것으로 나타났다. OA 식이에 의해 간장 콜레스테롤 농도가 증가하였으나, capsaicin 동시투여에 의해 감소하였다. Capsaicin 단독 투여는 간장 중성지방 및 콜레스테롤 농도에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. Capsaicin 투여에 의한 혈청 중성지방 및 콜레스테롤 농도의 감소는 OA 첨가 또는 무첨가 식이군에서 모두 관찰되었다. 간기능 지표 효소인 혈청 GOT 및 GPT 활성은 각 실험군간에 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 간조직의 형태학적 관찰 결과, 대조군과 CS군은 정상적인 간소견을 보였으나 OA군의 간세포에는 소포성 지방 변성이 소엽 중심대로 주로 나타나 있고, 크고 많은 지방세포들이 균일하게 배열되어 있었다. 그러나 OA+CS군의 간세포들은 손상된 세포가 재생될 뿐 아니라 소포성 지방세포들의 크기와 수가 줄어들고 있음을 확인하였다. 이상의 실험 결과에서, capsaicin 0.02% 농도는 OA-유발 지방간을 개선시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되어진다.

타우린 첨가 식이가 흰쥐에서 혈중 지질과 간 지질 농도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Dietary Taurine Supplementation on Plasma and Liver Lipid Concentrations in Rats)

  • This study investigated the effect of dietary taurine supplementation on the plasma and liver lipid concentrations in lats fed a cholesterol free diet Twenty male-Sprague-Dawley rats(body weight $200{\pm}10g$) were divided into two groups, the control and taurine group(2% taurine supplemented in their diet). All the rats were fed on the experimental diet and deionized water for 6 weeks libitum. There were no significant differences body weight gain, food intake and the food efficiency ratio between the control and experimental groups. The rats fed the taurine diet had a significantly lower triglyceride and AI(athrogenic index) than those fed the control diet The liver total cholesterol (p<0.05) and triglyceride levels(p<0.01) were significantly lower in the rats fed the taurine diet than in those fed the control diet. These results suggest a possible role of taurine as a hypolipidemic agent in male rats fed a cholesterol free diet.
