  • Today's wide-spread Internet technology allowed consumers to access much Word-of-Mouth information through an online board. As communication and exchanging information between travelers becomes easier and faster, e-WOM (Electronic Word-of-Mouth) is recognized as one of the most influencing communication methods in today's society. This new trend implies a significant impact to travel industry. This study focuses on interaction between Credibility on e-WOM, brand attitude, WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product. The result of this study suggests: (1) Credibility in e-WOM provides positive effect in brand attitude, (2) Brand Attitude gives positive effect on WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product, (3) WOM acceptance gives positive effect on WOM activity, but it is not effective on purchasing intention of travel product. Regarding e-WOM management of travel agencies through its website or online community, authors would like to argue that travel agencies need to build positive brand attitude based on Credibility in brand, which would lead consumers to positively acknowledge its brand and spread words out to other consumers.

Attitude toward the festival had a significant effect on behavioral intention to visit. Finally, it was also found that gender and past travel experience significantly moderated the interrelationships between these factors. • Recently, e-scooters have been attracting attention as eco-friendly modes of transportation in cities due to an increasing interest in the environment. Accordingly, various studies on usage behavior are being conducted, but studies that reflect individual travel attitudes are insufficient. Therefore, this study surveyed commuters in Seoul and analyzed respondents' traveling attitudes through factor analysis. It also built a binary logistic regression model for the intention to use shared e-scooters to determine how individual travel behaviors are affected. In particular, the model results showed that age, the main mode of transportation (car), walking time to the bus stop, and four travel attitude variables (disutility of travel, preference to self-drive, internet/smartphone friendliness, and willingness to pay extra money for services) significantly affected the intention to use shared e-scooters. This study is expected to be used as basic data, with aspect to travel behavior, for the efficient operation and use of shared e-scooters in the future.

  • In order to analyze travel mode choice behavior, behavioral models including logit model, based on revealed preference theory, have been using easily measurable variables such as individual socioeconomic characteristics and physical attributes of travel modes. But some recent attitudinal models of travel choice behavior have implied that the negligence of individual psychological variables and individual choice constraints in travel mode choice might preclude better prediction of individual travel mode choice behavior. In this context, this study was attempted to reconstruct an attitudinal model(AM), especially focused on the decision rules in travel mode choice decision making process, consistent with the conceptual framework relating individual attitude and choice constraints to choice behavior. And to evaluate the strengths of the AM to other comparative models(logit, linear-additive, conjunctive, lexicographic model) in predicting travel mode choice bebavior, an empirical study of the mode choice in work-trip to CBD in Seoul was performed. According to the results the percent of correct prediction(PCP) derived from the AM was higher than those derived from comparative models by at least 7 to 20% in predicting travel mode choice. But each model produced a different prediction accuracy depending on market segmentation by travel modal users, individual socioeconomic characteristics, transportation system characteristics, and satisfaction levels. The finding that different groups divided by a certain criterion employ different decision rules supports the necessity of developing a choice model such as the AM combining compensatory and noncompensatory decision rules, and suggests that a proposed transportation system management plan or policy may have different effects on each group.

  • According to some previous studies, it has been suggested that affect has influence on consumers' behaviors. It has been also argued that affect has stronger influence on behavior related to tour and leisure. However, only a few studies have dealt with relationship between affect and tour considering the important correlation. This research examines on the influence of various affects on tourists' attitude and repurchase intention. This study assumes that affect takes three sub-categorized factors - pleasure, arousal and domination. It is a frequently used consumer behavior area called PAD. The purpose of this research is to examine affect and their causes experienced during tour on affectional travel agency service quality. To test the hypothesis, survey data obtained from 482 outbound tourists were used. Result shows that affect(PAD dimension) aroused by tour experiences(affectional travel agency service quality) significantly influence each attitude and repurchase intention. The implication of this finding is that marketers can gain maximum profit by providing positive affect. Because of the judgement that more future studies on unique characteristics of the affect of tour are needed, this study also describes some limitations and suggestion for the future study.

  • According to Formalist theory, form is not separate from content. Form does not merely convey or express content but can itself produce meaning. The close correlation of the narrative structure, more specifically the time structure of the narrative, and the narrative style of Kim Seung-Ok′s short story′"Travel in Mujin" provides a good example of this argument. The story opens with the first-person narrator, currently living in the bustling city of Seoul, back in his small provincial home town Mujin, where he brings up memories that had been hitherto suppressed. The revived memories are ordered into the narrator′s present thought structure, in effect bridging the vast psychological rift between the lost past and the present. The narrator′s travel in Mujin thus becomes a psychological journey, and Mujin becomes a psychological space where the narrator can experience the continuity of his own being. The "narrating I" excludes the principles of reality from his narrative, concentrating on the inner thoughts, recollections, psychological experience, and the level of consciousness of the "narrated I." This narrative attitude or style expresses the narrator-protagonist′s acceptance and affirmation of the thoughts and actions occur in Mujin (which he had till now been resistant to). It is also an affirmation of the narrative act itself. Before the travel back to Mujin, the narrator-protagonist′s thoughts about his home town was ambivalent-an attitude originating from nostalgia, together with the narrator-protagonist′s ambivalent attitude toward his youthful past. It is a reflection of the narrator-protagonist′s desire for purity intermingled with a disdain for his enervated existence in Seoul. This ambivalence is resolved by the "I" of the narrative present, and Mujin enables him to come to a renewed affirmation of his life.

Research method: Through questionnaire survey, according to consumers' purchasing attitude and personal value of package design, we have in-depth understanding of consumers' purchasing power and package design's influence on purchasing conditions and research. According to the results of this study, first, from the perspective of general chocolate packaging and travel souvenir chocolate packaging to consumer consumption phenomena, general chocolate is more popular. Second, when consumers buy products, the taste of chocolate is more important than product packaging design. Third, in each product group, consumers value their own value when buying chocolate products. Fourth, due to the two important attributes of packaging design and taste, ordinary chocolate has a higher purchase intention than travel souvenir chocolate.

  • Tourism marketing begins with understanding tourists' needs. However, understanding tourists' needs should be expressed by specific utility values rather than simple preference order for the purpose of developing tourism marketing strategies. This study aims at identifying tourist's stated preference of vacation destination attributes by using the conjoint analysis. In addition, this study is purposed to define relationship between attitude and preference, and to suggest implications to tourism marketing strategies. It was found that stated preference to such attributes as 'quality of accommondation', 'recreation activities' and 'accessibility' among the attitude segments was significantly different but stated preferences to diverse profiles made of these three attributes showed significant differences only in such attributes as 'quality of accommodation' and 'recreation activities'. This results make it possible to identify the function of preference to destination attributes in the vacation destination choice decision. It also embodies the relationship between tourist's attitude and vacation destination attributes.
