  • In digital mobile communication system, the transmission errors affect the quality of output speech seriously. There are many error concealment techniques using a posteriori probability which provides information about any transmitted parameter. They need knowledge about channel transition probability as well as the 1st order Markov transition probability of codec parameters for estimation of transmitted parameters. However, in applications of mobile communication systems, the channel transition probability varies depending on nonstationary channel characteristics. The mismatch of designed channel transition probability of the estimator to actual channel transition probability degrades the performance of the estimator. In this paper, we proposed a new parameter estimator which adapts to the channel characteristics using short time average of maximum a posteriori probabilities(MAPs). The proposed scheme, when applied to the LSP parameter estimation, performed better than the conventional estimator which do not adapt to the channel characteristics.

  • This paper presents a data-dependent precharge suppression(DPS) D-flip-flop(DFF) with precharge suppression scheme according to data-transition probability The main feature of the DPS DFF is that precharge is suppressed when there is no data transition. The proposed DPS DFF consumes less power than the conventional Yuan-Svensson's true single phase clocking(TSPC) DFF when the data-transition probability is low. The simulation result shows that the power consumption is reduced by 42.2 % when the data-transition probability is 30%.

  • It is a common saying that markov-chain is a special case of probability course. That is to say, It means an unchangeable markov-chain process of the transition-probability of discontinuous time. There are two kinds of ways to show transition probability parade matrix theory. The first is the way by arrangement of a rightangled tetragon. The second part is a vertical measurement and direction sing by transition-circle. In this essay, I try to find out existence of procession for transition-probability applied markov-chain. And it is possible for me to know not only, what it is basic on a study of chain but also being applied to abnormal problems following a flow change and statistic facts expecting to use as a model of air expansion in physics.

  • The first grade zones in Ecology and Nature Map are important regions for the conservation of the ecosystem, but it would be degraded by various anthropogenic factors. This study analyzes the relationship between potential land cover change and degradation of the first grade zones using land cover transition probability. As a result, it was shown that most of the first grade zones with degraded were converted from forest to urban(5.1%), cropland(27.2%), barren(11.0%) and grass(27.5%) in Gangwon and forest to urban(18.0%), cropland(15.3%), grass(28.4%), barren(12.3%) in Gyeonggi. The result of the logistic regression analysis showed that the probability of degradation of first grade zone was higher in area where was expected the higher probability of urban, cropland, barren, grass transition. The barren transition probability was the most influential and grass was the next highest. There were regional differences in the probability of urban transition and cropland transition, and the urban transition probability was more influential in Gyeonggi-do. This is because development pressure such as housing site development is high in Gyeonggi-do. Due to the limitations of the Act on Mountain Districts Management, even in the first grade zones, the grade may be degraded. Therefore, if Ecology and Nature Map are used to prevent deforestation or conversion of mountainous districts, it may contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem.

  • Temperature-dependent, solution EPR spectra of two mixed-valence copper(II)-copper(I) complexes have been simulated by using modified Bloch equations. The transition probability for the intramolecular electron transfer is determined from the simulation. The transition probabilities have been fitted to the Arrhenius equation to derive the activation energies. The transition probability also varies according to the solvent used.

  • In this study, two stage transfer line with limited repair capability is modeled to formulate optimal dynamic repair priority policy. The method of Markov Chains is used to analyze the analytical model of this line. An efficient algorithm is developed, utilizing the block tridiagonal structure of the transition probability matrix, to obtain the steady state probabilities and system performance measures, such as the steady state production rate of the line and the average in-process inventory in the interstage buffer.

  • In this paper, we study some limit properties of the harmonic mean of random transition probability for a second-order nonhomogeneous Markov chain on the generalized gambling system indexed by a tree by constructing a nonnegative martingale. As corollary, we obtain the property of the harmonic mean and the arithmetic mean of random transition probability for a second-order nonhomogeneous Markov chain indexed by a double root tree.

  • A method is presented of dynamic determination of mode transition probability for IMM in order to improve the accuracy performance of maneuvering target tracking for air traffic control surveillance processing system under multiple radar environment. It is shown that dynamic determination of mode transition probability based on the time intervals between the data input from multiple radars gives the optimized performance in terms of position estimation accuracy.

  • The vibrational transition probability expressions for the forced Morse oscillator have been derived using the commutation relations of the anharmonic Boson operators. The formulation is based on the collinear collision model with the exponential repulsive potential in the framework of semiclassical collision dynamics. The sample calculation results for H2+ He collision system, where the anharmonicity is large, are in excellent agreement with those from an exact, numerical quantum mechanical study by Clark and Dickinson, using the reactance matrix. Our results, however, are markedly different from those of Ree, Kim and Shin's in which they approximate the commutation operator I。 as unity, the harmonic oscillator limit. We have concluded that the quantum number dependence in I。 must be retained to get accurate vibrational transition probabilities for the Morse oscillator.

  • We obtain probabilities at a crossing of two linearly time-dependent potentials that are constantly coupled to the other by solving a time-dependent Schrödinger equation. We find that the system which was initially localized at one state evolves to split into both states at the crossing. The probability splitting depends on the coupling strength $V_0$ such that the system stays at the initial state in its entirety when $V_0$ = 0 while it is divided equally in both states when $V_0 \rightarrow {\infty}$ . For a finite coupling the probability branching at the crossing is not even and thus a complete probability transfer at $t \rightarrow {\infty}$ is not achieved in the linear potential crossing problem. The Landau-Zener formula for transition probability at $t \rightarrow {\infty}$ is expressed in terms of the probabilities at the crossing.
