In this paper, it is investigated the properties of the transformed geometric Poisson process when the intensity function of the process is a distribution of the continuous random variable. If the intensity function of the transformed geometric Poisson process is a Pareto distribution then the transformed geometric Poisson process is a strongly P-process.

Due to boundedness and sum constraint, compositional data are often transformed by logratio transformation and their transformed data are put into traditional binary classification or discriminant analysis. However, it may be problematic to directly apply traditional multivariate approaches to the transformed data because class distributions are not Gaussian and Bayes decision boundary are not polynomial on the transformed space. In this study, we propose to use flexible classification approaches to transformed data for compositional data classification. Empirical studies using synthetic and real examples demonstrate that flexible approaches outperform traditional multivariate classification or discriminant analysis.
Objectives : Wrist ganglion is one of the most common diseases on the wrist joint. So far acupuncture, medication, drainage and local anesthetic excision therapy have been used for this disease, but the development of more effective treatment method is being expected because of frequent recurrence and side effect. Considered that most ganglion is polycystic, on the basis of classic centro-square acupuncture, newly transformed centro-square acupuncture was applied to this report. Methods : All the patients with wrist ganglion was divided into two groups. Newly transformed centro-square acupuncture was app(ied to one group composed of 11 patients and classic centro-square acupuncture to the other group with 19 patients. Classic centro-square acupuncture is made up of slanting and straight insertion. the former is a method that tips of 4 needles are inserted from the outersurface of wrist ganglion oriented to the center of the ganglion, the latter is that tip of one needle is inserted on the center of the ganglion straightly. In the newly transformed centro-square acupuncture, straight insertion of dry needle was taken place of by syringe needle in order to drain phlegm. In this report, classic and newly transformed centro-square acupuncture were used somewhat differently from original ones. Moxibustion was applied after removing all the needles. In newly transformed centro-square acupuncture, moxibustion was also applied after drainage of phlegm and slanting insertion. Results : 1. Wrist ganglion was frequently developed around the acupoint of Tae-Yeon(Tai Yuan, LU9) and Yang-Ji(Yang Chi, TE4) and the difference between occurrence of development on the left and right hand had no significancy. 2. The mean number of treatment for recovery : The newly transformed centro-square acupuncture had fewer treatment than classic one. 3. The newly transformed centro-square acupuncture was more effective than classic one. 4. As a result of following up 6 to 72 months after wrist ganglion had been eliminated, there was no recurrence. Conclusion : In the treatment of wrist ganglion, newly transformed centro-square acupuncture can be regarded as more useful method in the clinical practice, because it has comparatiely shorter duration of treatment and is more effective.
On the subjects of elementary 3-rd grade three child prodigies who learned primary concept of division, this study explored how they could compose schema and transformed schema through recognition of precise concepts and linking with the contents of division of fraction. That is to say, this study examined in depth what schema and transformed schema as primary concept of division they composed to get relational understanding of division of fraction, and how they used the schema and transformed schema composed by themselves to approach problem solving as well as how they transformed the schema in their concept composition and problem solving competence. As a result, it was found that learning of primary concept of division played a key role of composing schema and transformed schema needed for coping with division of fraction, and that at this time, composition of the transformed schema and transformed schema derived from the recognition of primary concept of division could play the inevitable role of problem solving for division of fraction.
This study was conducted as a qualitative case study for examining what transformed primary concepts and transformed schemas were formed for the addition of decimals and how they were formed, and how the relational understanding of the addition of decimals was in three 3rd grade elementary school children who had studied the primary concepts of division, fraction and decimal. That is, this study investigated how the subjects approached problems of decimal addition using transformed primary concepts and transformed schemas formed by themselves, and how the subjects formed concepts and transformed schemas in problem solving. According to the results of this study, transformed primary concepts and transformed schemas formed through the learning of the primary concepts of division, fraction, and decimal functioned as important factors for the relational understanding of decimal addition.

The purpose of this study was to classify apparel fabrics according to rustling sounds and to analyze their transformed colors and mechanical properties. The rustling sounds of apparel fabrics were recorded and then transformed into colors using Mori's color-transforming program. The specimens were clustered into five groups according to sound properties, and each group was named as 'Silky', 'Crispy', 'Paper-like', 'Worsted', and 'Flaxy', respectively. The Silky consisted of smooth and soft silk fabrics had the lowest value of LPT, $\Delta$f ARC, loudness(z) and sharpness(z). Their transformed colors showed lots of red portion and color counts. The Crispy with crepe fabrics showed relatively low loudness(z) and sharpness(z), but diverse colors and color counts were appeared. The Paper-like showed the highest value of LPT, $\Delta$f and loudness(z). The Worsted composed of wool and wool-like fabrics showed high values of LPT, $\Delta$f loudness(z) and sharpness(z). The transformed colors of the Paper-like and Worsted showed the blue mostly but color counts were less than the others. The Flaxy with rugged flax fabric had the highest fluctuation strength, and their transformed colors showed diversity.

We consider an asymmetric power transformed threshold GARCH(1.1) process and find sufficient conditions for the existence of a strictly stationary solution, geometric ergodicity and ${\beta}$-mixing property. Moments conditions are given. Box-Cox transformed threshold GARCH(1.1) is also considered as a special case.
This study was carried out to investigate activity difference in the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) of tomato callus transformed with Agrobacterium containing the GUS gene. Than those of other two tomato cultivars, the hypocotyl explant of JA101 was shown to have higher POD and SOD specific activity of 23 unit/mg protein and 2,156 unit/mg protein, respectively. Relatively high frequency of callus formation was obtained from the hypocotyl explant on MS medium containing 1 mg/L 2,4-D for 30 days and its POD(47 unit/mg protein) and SOD (95,786 unit/mg protein) specific activities were higher than other 2,4-D concentration. The hypocotyl explant and callus cocultivated with Agrobacterium for 72 hours were transferred to MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L 2,4-D, 30 mg/L kanamycin, 30 g/L sucrose and 4 g/L Gelrite. The hypocotyl explants transferred to the medium formed callus with 45.5% effeciency after 8 weeks. The transformation efficiency confirmed by GUS assay was 21.6%. POD specific activity of the transformed callus (54 unit/mg protein) were somewhat lower than the non-transformed callus (64 unit/mgg protein) and SOD specific activity of the transformed callus (30,300 unit/mg protein) were also lower than the non-transformed callus (37,077 unit/mg protein). However there was no significant difference in POD and SOD isozyme patterns between the transformed and the non-transformed calluses. From these results, it revealed that there was no difference of antioxidant enzyme activities between the transformed callus and the non-transformed callus in tomato.
A protocol for plant regeneration from hairy root of Rehmannia glutinosa transformed by Agrobacterium rhizogenes ATCC15834 has been developed. Transgenic shoots were regenerated from hairy roots within 6 weeks after culture on the SH medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l BA. Shoots were rooted on plant growth regulator free SH medium successfully. The transformed plants, which were regenerated from hairy roots, had thiner roots with extensive lateral branches, wrinkled leaves, shorter node, and grew faster compared with non-transformed plants. The biomass of the transformed plant was 1.28 g (F.W) per plant, significantly higher than the non-transformed plant (0.54 g F.W). The catalpol content in the transformed plant (0.56%) was also higher than that of the non-transformed plants (0.43%).
