PC 클러스터링을 이용한 병렬 최적조류계산에 관한 연구 (Parallel Optimal Power Flow Using PC Clustering)

  • Optimal Power Flow (OPF) is becoming more and more important in the deregulation environment of power pool and there is an urgent need of faster solution technique for on-line application. So this paper presents parallel genetic algorithm-tap search for the solution of the OPF. The control variables modeled unit active power outputs, generator-bus voltage magnitudes and transformer-tap settings. A number of functional operating constraints, such as branch flow limits, load bus boltage magnitude limits and generator reactive capabilities are included as penalties in the fitness function. In parallel GA-TS, GA operators are executed for each process. If best fitness of the GA is not changed for several generations, TS operators are executed for the upper three populations to enhance the local searching capabilities. With migration operation, best string of each node is transferred to the neighboring node after predetermined iterations are executed. For parallel computing, we developed a PC-cluster system consisting of 8 PCs. Each PC employs the 2 GHz Pentium IV CPU and is connected with others through ethernet switch based fast ethernet. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, developed algorithm has been tested and compared on an IEEE 30-bus system in the reference paper. From the simulation results, we can find that the proposed algorithm is efficient for the OPF.

발뒤꿈치의 재건 시에 사용할 수 있는 다양한 피판술 (Various Modalities of Flap Surgery in Heel Pad Reconstruction)

  • Purpose: The reconstruction of a soft tissue defect of the heel pad can be challenging. One vital issue is the restoration of the ability of the heel to bear the load of the body weight. Many surgeons prefer to use local flaps or free tissue transfer rather than a skin graft. In this study, we evaluated the criteria for choosing a proper flap for heel pad reconstruction. Methods: In this study, 23 cases of heel pad reconstruction were performed by using the flap technique. The etiologies of the heel defects included pressure sores, trauma, or wide excision of a malignant tumor. During the operation, the location, size and depth of the heel pad defect determined which flap was chosen. When the defect size was relatively small and the defect depth was limited to the subcutaneous layer, a local flap was used. A free flap was selected when the defect was so large and deep that almost entire heel pad had to be replaced. Results: There was only one complication of poor graft acceptance, involving partial flap necrosis. This patient experienced complete recovery after debridement of the necrotic tissue and a split thickness skin graft. None of the other transferred tissues had complications. During the follow-up period, the patients were reported satisfactory with both aesthetic and functional results. Conclusion: The heel pad reconstructive method is determined by the size and soft-tissue requirements of the defect. The proper choice of the donor flap allows to achieve satisfactory surgical outcomes in aesthetic and functional viewpoints with fewer complications.

자동차 부품의 원격 레이저 용접기술 (Remote Welding of Automobile Components using CO2 Laser and Scanner)

  • The laser welding of the car body and components has been spread in the automotive industry. The Nd:YAG laser welding system could be used in 3D welding with robot. However, this system cannot efficiently reduce the welding cycle time according to various welding sequences because the robot's moving time is same that of the resistant spot welding system. But the remote welding system with high power $CO_2$ laser and scanner makes it possible welding cycle time much faster than the robot laser welding system. In the $CO_2$ laser remote welding system, laser beam can be rapidly transferred to a workpiece by moving mirrors of scanner system. So, it makes reducing the cycle time of welding process and shaping various welding patterns easily. Therefore, in this paper, the characteristic of weld strength according to patterns of weld bead on $CO_2$ laser welding was investigated. Also, the relationship between shape of weld bead and value of tensile load was studied. Finally, the optimum remote welding condition for car bumper was investigated.

  • 이 논문에서는 군집선박 사이에서 얻어낸 센서 정보를 통합 관리하고 모니터링을 하는 군집선박을 위한 선박 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)이용한 상황인식 모니터링시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 임의의 선박에서 센서의 오동작 발생할 경우 중앙 관리 선박에서 타 선박으로 센서의 동작 제어권을 넘겨 지속적으로 데이터를 수집하여 적절한 상황인식을 유도할 수 있다. 또한 각 선박에 따라 특정한 데이터만 수집해서 상황인식을 한 정보를 서버로 보냄으로서 센서 노드의 통신으로 인한 부하를 줄일 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • This document presents the JES(Joint Element Structure) method that has been adopted for the firs time in our country for the construction of the structure crossing under the railroad without open excavation. Front Jacking Method, Tubular Roof Construction Method, New Tubular Roof Method and Joint Element Structure Method are commonly used for the construction of structures crossing under the railroad. JES Method, frequently used in Japan recently, is a new method to construct the structures crossing under the railroad in a safe manner and in a relatively short period of time by utilizing the steel elements with the joints through which the load in the vertical angle to the axial direction is transferred to the next element. The elements are tied to each other through the joints to form the permanent walls of a Rahmen structure under the road without open excavation and without limitation to the length in a convenient way. Through the case study in the project of a Subway Box Culvert Improvement for the Gyeonguiseon Railroad in front of Yonsei University using the JES Method, the cost and period of construction in various types of soil is investigated compared to the Front Jacking Method. Furthermore, by analyzing the results of instrumentation measurements carried out throughout the construction, comparison between the actual displacement in the ground and the predicted displacement in the design is made to provide the considerations to be counted for the design. In conclusion, comparison in the field of economic feasibility, constructability and safety between the JES Method and Front Jacking Method, which is most frequently adopted in our country at present, is made to present the JES Method as a new alternative for the non-open excavation construction method for the structures crossing under the railway.

Failure pattern of large-scale goaf collapse and a controlled roof caving method used in gypsum mine

  • Physical model tests were first performed to investigate the failure pattern of multiple pillar-roof support system. It was observed in the physical model tests, pillars were design with the same mechanical parameters in model #1, cracking occurred simultaneously in panel pillars and the roof above barrier pillars. When pillars 2 to 5 lost bearing capacity, collapse of the roof supported by those pillars occurred. Physical model #2 was design with a relatively weaker pillar (pillar 3) among six pillars. It was found that the whole pillar-roof system was divided into two independent systems by a roof crack, and two pillars collapse and roof subsidence events occurred during the loading process, the first failure event was induced by the pillars failure, and the second was caused by the roof crack. Then, for a multiple pillar-roof support system, three types of failure patterns were analysed based on the condition of pillar and roof. It can be concluded that any failure of a bearing component would cause a subsidence event. However, the barrier pillar could bear the transferred load during the stress redistribution process, mitigating the propagation of collapse or cutting the roof to insulate the collapse area. Importantly, some effective methods were suggested to decrease the risk of catastrophic collapse, and the deep-hole-blasting was employed to improve the stability of the pillar and roof support system in a room and pillar mine.

  • MMORPG환경에서 이용자들은, 한정된 게임 월드보다 끊임없이 넓은 지형에서 플레이하기를 원하기 때문에 끊임없이 연속된 확장 가능한 공간을 제공해야 한다. 이때 사용자는 개개의 서버들로 구성된 게임 월드를 하나의 지역으로 인식하게 하고 분산 서버들이 구성한 게임 월드를 자유롭게 이동할 수 있어야 한다. 여러 대의 게임 서버를 분산 방식으로 구성하여 하나의 게임 월드를 제공하므로 개개 서버가 관리하는 영역을 벗어나 다른 서버의 관리지역으로 이동 시 이동에 따른 게임 캐릭터의 게임 관련 정보 등을 모두 전송해 주어야 한다. 서버 간의 정보 동기화를 위하여 복잡한 과정이 필요하고 이로 인한 응답 지연이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상 환경을 구축하는 데 필요한 가상 환경 중 가상 환경 구축을 위한 마이그레이션 에이전트 서버를 제안한다. 마이그레이션 에이전트는 응답시간 단축을 위한 캐시 서버 역할을 수행하며, Player character수 70,000인 상황에서 응답시간을 50% 단축할 수 있었다.

지르코니아 및 티타늄 임플란트를 사용한 지지골 및 임플란트 유지 수복물의 응력 분포 비교: 3차원 유한 요소 분석 (Comparison of stress distribution in bone and implant-supported dental prosthesis with zirconia and titanium implants: a 3-dimensional finite element analysis)

  • Purpose: Zirconia is differentiated from other ceramics because of its high resistance to corrosion and wear, excellent flexural strength (900~1400 MPa), and high hardness. Dental zirconia with proven mechanical/biological stability is suitable for the manufacture of implants. However, there are limited in vivo studies evaluating stress distribution in zirconia compared with that in titanium implants and studies analyzing finite elements. This study was conducted to evaluate the stress distribution of the supporting bone surrounding zirconia and titanium implants using the finite element analysis method. Methods: For finite element analysis, a single implant-supported restoration was designed. Using a universal analysis program, eight occlusal points were set in the direction of the occlusal long axis. The occlusal load was simulated at 700 N. Results: The zirconia implant (47.7 MPa) von Mises stress decreased by 5.3% in the upper cortical bone compared with the titanium implant (50.2 MPa) von Mises stress. Similarly, the zirconia implant (20.8 MPa) von Mises stress decreased by almost 4% in the cancellous bone compared with the titanium implant (21.7 MPa) von Mises stress. The principal stress in the cortical and cancellous bone exhibited a similar propensity to von Mises stress. Conclusion: In the supporting bone, the zirconia implant is able to reduce bone resorption caused by mechanically transferred stress. It is believed that the zirconia implant can be a potential substitute for the titanium implant by reinforcing aesthetic characteristics and improving stress distribution.

사용자 맞춤형 서버리스 안드로이드 악성코드 분석을 위한 전이학습 기반 적응형 탐지 기법 (Customized Serverless Android Malware Analysis Using Transfer Learning-Based Adaptive Detection Techniques)

  • 안드로이드 어플리케이션은 생산성과 게임 등의 다양한 카테고리에 걸쳐 출시되며, 사용자는 개인의 사용 패턴에 따라 다양한 어플리케이션 및 악성코드에 노출된다. 반면 대부분의 분석 엔진은 기존에 존재하는 데이터셋을 활용하며, 주기적인 업데이트가 이루어진다고 해도 사용자의 선호도를 반영하지 않는다. 따라서 알려진 악성코드에 대한 탐지율은 높은 반면, 애드웨어와 같은 유형의 악성코드는 탐지가 어렵다. 또한 기존의 엔진은 서버를 거쳐야 하므로, 추가적인 비용이 발생하며, 사용자는 가용성과 실시간성을 보장받지 못하는 문제가 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 논문에서는 서버와 단 한번만의 통신이 요구되는 on-device 악성코드 분석과 전이학습을 통한 모델 재훈련을 수행하는 분석 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 해당 시스템은 디바이스 내부에서 디컴파일을 포함한 전체 프로세스가 이루어지므로, 서버 시스템에서의 부하를 분산할 수 있다. 이러한 분석 시스템을 구현하여 테스트한 결과, 전이 학습이전 기준 최대 90.3%의 정확도를 얻었으며, Adware 카테고리에 대하여 전이학습을 수행한 뒤 최대 95.1% 의 정확도로, 기존 대비 4.8% 높은 정확도를 얻을 수 있었다.

QR 코드로 인코딩된 소프트웨어 실행 제어 흐름 전력 소비 패턴 기반 시스템 이상 동작 감지 (Abnormal System Operation Detection by Comparing QR Code-Encoded Power Consumption Patterns in Software Execution Control Flow)

  • 임베디드 시스템의 활발한 사용으로 스마트 팩토리와 같이 여러 에지가 모여서 함께 복합적인 동작을 하게 되는 멀티 에지 시스템들이 동작되고 있다. 멀티 에지 시스템에서 하나의 에지에서의 이상 동작이 다른 에지로 전달되거나 전체 시스템이 다운되는 경우가 자주 발생한다. 이러한 시스템에서 각 에지의 이상 동작을 판단하고 제어하는 것이 중요하지만, 이는 성능의 한계가 존재하는 작은 에지의 임베디드 시스템에 부하를 가한다. 이러한 시스템에서 우리는 전력 소비 데이터를 사용하여 에지 장치의 상태를 확인하고 이를 QR코드 기반으로 데이터를 전송하여 서버에서 이상 동작을 확인하고 제어하려 한다. 논문에서 제안된 아키텍처는 에지의 전력 소모 데이터를 측정하기 위해 'chip-whisperer'를 사용하고 서버를 구현하기 위해 '라즈베리 파이'를 사용하여 구현하였다. 그 결과 제안된 아키텍처서버는 성공적인 데이터 전송 및 이상 동작 판정을 보였으며 에지에서 추가 부하가 나타나지 않음을 확인하였다.
