실습선 실습기관사의 효과적인 실습교육 및 지도방안 - 목포해양대학교 실습선 교육을 중심으로 - (Method on the Effective Onboard Training and Guidance for Apprentice Engineer Officers in the Training Ship - The Case of Mokpo National Maritime University -)

  • 승선실습교육은 해기사로서의 기본적인 소양과 기능을 연마하기 위하여 이론과 실무를 겸비하도록 하고 다양한 교육 및 훈련과정을 통해 위기상황 대처능력과 자립심을 향상시켜 선박이라는 특수한 작업환경에서 부여된 업무를 효과적으로 달성시키는데 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전문적인 지식 및 리더십을 겸비한 유능한 해기사를 양성하고 승선실습교육의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 실습선 실습기관사 승선실습교육 향상 및 지도를 위한 몇 가지 개선 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

선박공간분석을 통한 실습전용선박의 선박능력 평가 기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ship Ability Evaluation Criteria for Training-only ship through Ship Space Analysis)

  • 선박들은 목적에 따라 건조되어 개별의 목표를 가지고 운영된다. 운영상 목표는 선박의 설계에 반영되어 필요한 선박능력을 결정하는 주요 기준이 된다. 일반적으로 화물선과 여객선은 수송능력을 중심으로 선박의 운항부분과 화물 또는 여객의 수용능력부분으로 선박능력이 객관적으로 평가되고 있다. 필요한 선박능력을 감안하여 건조된 선박은 안정성과 같은 기본적인 특성 외에 경제성, 친환경성 등의 효과들 또한 기대 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 국내 해기사 양성에서 중추적인 역할을 하고 있는 각 기관의 실습전용선박 관리 분야에서도 선박능력 개념의 효과적인 활용이 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 최근 시차를 두고 건조된 한국해양수산연수원의 실습전용선박 2척의 선박내부 공간 분석을 통하여 실습전용선박의 선박능력 평가 기준에 대해 기초적인 방향성을 확인하였으며 국내의 실습전용선박 또는 범용 실습선박 건조 과정 중 예산확보와 설계에서 선박능력 기준의 활용 가능성을 도출하였다.

항해계열 실습생의 승선실습 교육 만족도에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Cadets' Satisfaction about Shipboard Training)

  • It is one of the most important factors Seafarers Ducation Quality Assurance and Management in Higher Maritime Educational Institution. The educational process and result of Higher Maritime Educational Institution should be evaluated according to the 1995 Amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers(STCW), 1978. Actually above-mentioned evaluation is deemed to make foundation in order to enhance the efficiency of shipboard education by surveying the satisfaction of shipboard training for nautical part cadets by the group. In this paper, we carried out the questionnaire survey to study satisfactory value and the reason of dissatisfaction of 113 cadets being trained on board the Training Ship in Maritime College of Korea Maritime University(K. M. U.). The results were calculated by frequency and percentage ; the significance of difference among Department groups like Maritime Transportation Science, Maritime Police and Ship Operating Systems Engineering was analysed by $X^2$ inspection. The major results of above analysis were as follows : First training chance for dadets was very little for being overflowed on board the training ship of the K. M. U. Second, special type of Training Ship HANBADA and HANNARA made the adaptability to merchant vessel's handling restricted. Third, cadets could not manage ratings directly, therefore the education in regard to seafaring management was limited to the theoretical instruction which leads to the low level of satisfaction. And lastly, low value of satisfaction for Drydocking Education in Shipyard was caused by cadet's leaving the Training Ship on account of the safety problems including ship and cadets.

위탁승선실습생의 법적지위 -목포해양전문대학생을 중심으로- (A Study on the Legal Status of Apprentice Officers on the Merchant ship)

  • Students of the Mogpo Merchant Marine College must complete one year's shipboard training course according to IMO(International Maritime Organization) regulations as an obtaining matter of Certificate of Competency. The purpose of this shipboard training course lies int he student's acquiring practical knowledge and sill as a part of a course of study and, in the future, fostering essential adaptability and leadership, especially in bad circumstances on the sea. The shipboard training course has two kind that the students can be trained either on the training ship or on a merchant ship of the shipping company. In this paper, I only thought over the legal status of apprentice officers on the merchant ship and analyzed the problems practicably during shipboard training. This paper is made up of five chapters. The first chapter contains the purpose contents and method of this study, in the second, the meaning of shipboard practice education and training, in the third, the legal status of apprentice officers on merchant ship, in the fourth, the analysis of the provisions of the seamen act applied to apprentice officers on a merchant ship. And in the last chapter 5, the contents mentioned is summarized and directions are presented to amend the provisions of the seamen act applied to apprentice officers. The conclusions are as follows. 1.In case of shipboard training on overseas employment ship, the seamen act applied to the manning agent employing the apprentice officers should be reinforced. 2. The provisions of disembarkation in mid course by discipline of the seamen acts Article 24 should be relaxed. And the provisions in relations to seamen's duty to be a reason of discipline applied to apprentice officer among the provisions for ship's public order maintenance should be abolished. 3. The provision of repartriation completely should be applied to apprentice officers and the provisions of a journey expenditure during their embarkation or disembarkation have to be established. 4. The apprentice officers in shipboard training also need securing a basic wages provision to be criterion of an accident compensation. 5. The apprentice officers in shipboard training should not be in charge of third officer's or third engineer' study.

조선소 설비공의 직무 분석을 통한 교육훈련 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Educational Training Program by the Job Analysis Ship-Fitters)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the job and develops the educational training program of ship-fitter by using the DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) method. On the first stage, the authors have been defined the job and classified duties and tasks of ship-fitters. To fine what is the most efficient task for ship-fitter, we have been investigated the levels of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry in each task. A DACUM committee is composed of total 10 members, which are one facilitator, eight panel members, one recorder & coordinator to analyze the job of ship-fitter. Following is the result of this study. First, 5 duties and 28 tasks are analyzed. Second, 19 tasks that are essential in entry level of occupation containing 'drawing inspecting' are identified. Third, a job model of ship-fitter is constructed by the results of DACUM job analysis. Fourth, training program is developed. This program contains task/curriculum Matrix, task/Course Matrix, training Course Profile, training Road Map.

A Study on the Improvement of On-board Training Program through the Analysis of Satisfaction Level

  • The educational process and result of onboard training should be evaluated according to the 1995 Amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for seafarers(STCW), 1978. In particular, the revised Convention requires that a trainee's seagoing service must be recorded in each cadet's Training Record Book approved by the maritime administration responsible for the issuance of certificates of competency. Trainees for certification under regulation III/1 of the STCW Convention are required to complete an approved on-board training programme. The purpose of this paper is to understand the compliance of the education for an approved on-board training programme. The questionnaire was distributed among 110 cadets being trained on board the training ship of the maritime college of the Mokpo National Maritime University. In this study, we conducted the questionnaire survey which is related to the on-board training programme such as marine engineering; controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board; electrical, electronic and control engineering; etc. The survey revealed that onboard training program was normally satisfactory, however, lack of practical training tools and time have accounted for most of the reasons for dissatisfaction. Therefore, it is our goal to enhance the satisfactory value of onboard training education by analyzing the reason of the dissatisfaction.

어업실습선의 SPS Code 적용과 항만국통제 현황 분석 (Application of SPS Code and analysis on status of Port State Control in Korea fishery training ship)

  • This study identified application range of SPS Code(Special Purpose Ship Code) applied to fishery training ship in Korea, and proposed counterplan for port state control. The latest contents of relevant convention was verified, used APCIS of Tokyo MOU and EQASIS provided by EU to analyze the current condition and deficiencies of port state control of fishery training ship. As the result, the SPS code equal to passenger ship and cargo ship of SOLAS convention should be satisfied with fishery training ship, and must follow ISPS Code. As for the result of record of port state control, it was confirmed that 8 fishery training ships were inspected 76 times and pointed out with 411 deficiencies in Tokyo MOU nation. 75% of deficiencies were related to SOLAS convention, and 71 times of inspections were conducted in Japan. Because it is not free from the fishery training ship, there is a need for active corresponding and preparation by enhancing local cooperative system and sharing the Internet inspection background, and need to develop and implement in-depth internship program to improve port state control counter plan for the trainees.

실습선 학생교육 기간에 따른 실습교육 효과에 관한 연구-I (A Study on Training Education Effect of Training Terms for Trainees in Training Ship- I)

  • 우리나라의 해양계열 대학교 실습선은 적절한 계획에 의하여 연안항해 및 원양항해를 실시하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 연안항해 및 원양항해가 과연 학생들에게 어느 정도의 교육효과가 있는지에 대한 연구는 없다. 이러한 교육효과에 대한 첫 번째 연구인 본 연구는 실습선 운항일정(운항기간)에 의하여 실습교육 효과를 파악하고 분석하여 효율적인 실습교육에 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다. 이 연구를 수행하기 위하여 2005학년도 1학기 한국해대 실습선 한바다호에 승선한 학생들을 대상으로 실습기간별 평가를 6회에 걸쳐 실시하였으며 평가방법으로는 해기교육 평가와 관련한 3급 항해사 문제집에서 무작위로 선별하여 평가를 하였다. 평가 결과에 따르면 학부의 학점이 우수한 학생들의 평가점수가 좋은 것으로 분석되었으며, 평가기간에 따라서는 원양항해실습이 종료된 직후의 평가점수가 가장 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다. 또한 실습기간의 증가에 따라 각 개인의 해기취득 능력차이가 많은 것으로 분석되었다.
